PCaddict's 1st Grow Journal

Hi PC good morning, a warm fog rolled in last night around here from the south lots of humidity warm temps. And low visibility, a foggy day. Hope your grow is well along with yourself and loved ones too Stay safe.
thanks for the help with the MB it couldn’t have worked out butter r. :high-five: Better. Lol

How's your humidity in the tent these days? I've gone from running 2 whole house humidifiers last weekend to running my dehumidifier the last 2 days. Keep an eye out for the spike. Don't want any mold sticking its ugly head in your tent.
The RH has been in the 30s and 40 percent range. I am running a humidifier because when I don't have it on the RH drops down into the teens. I just checked and it said the RH was 60% so I turned my humidifier off. I will check again in a bit but just the short time I was in there the RH dropped down to 51%, the temps are at 73f, it usually stays between 71 to 77f

I collected rain water for a while off my roof but found out u don’t want to drink
it with all the contaminated stuff flying round, nor do my plants
I know when it works it’s great just watch how it’s collected and stored
my 2 cents.

Thanks Bud. I would mostly use to fill my hueys which go through 3 gallons per day and if I use my well water, I get white residue everywhere. I was considering also using for plants but may be cautious about that. I use my well water for my plants and so far so good.....

Cheers Bud, PC and crew!:passitleft:

Hey Derbs! Can you give a run down on your rain collection? What size container and do you have bubbler or whatever? I am considering collecting rain.

To keep this simple I'm going to say that I catch the rain water off my metal barn roofs. I don't worry about bird faeces or other contaminants as I don't use it for drinking water. I check the ph & EC before I mix my nutes and go from there. I have much more involved with 3) 100 gallon stock tanks and 2) 275 gallon totes but in a nutshell it's just collecting water.
On the web there are lots of papers written on how to collect for drinking water that includes 1st wash run off and filter systems. I do know about them some but I'm just set up to water plants and horses.

Got it Derbs, thanks! So you don't airate it?

I haul it from the barns to the house in 2 1/2 gallon containers. In the house it goes down in the dungeon at least 24 hours before I'll use it to mix nutes. This is only for it to come to temp. After nutes are mixed I give it a quick 5 second shake and feed. Now if I'm using the auto watering system I do use a airstone 24/7 in the big rez.

Today's pictures. I am seeing that the tops of the buds are pushing out more pistols

the younger two are pushing out new pistols but the two big ones are not doing that. I may have to do a staggered harvest. I just ordered This tripod from the Zon I am hoping it will help me take better pictures

Ok, so just like with Sticky's Y/G, it's decision time! :slide: They're going into a second bloom, so you should take the ones with new pistils now, or ... let 'em ride for another couple weeks. They're gonna grow chunky foxtails now.

Its kind of strange that they are starting to push out more pistols the bigger two is not doing it. My tripod will be here Monday so I am hoping to get better shots of the Trichomes

I am with @Graytail

when looking at them just after you posted, I was thinking “those look like they are beginning to foxtail”
This is all new to me I have heard about it and seen it on a few journals. Is Foxtails bad ?
