Pbz's First Time!

Also... Those Plants are looking for blue light. Pull all 12 2700k bulbs and replace with 6 6500k 23w CFLs for veg. Save those 2700s... You'll need them for flower. Your lights aren't too far away, just the wrong color. Start with 4 or 6 and keep adding 1 at a time as you dial in. Switching to Gas Lantern Routine can save you 5 hrs of heat generating light too! You've got a few things to try.

Good Luck!

I thought I saw some sort of aircon-like contraption in your first pic, no?
EDIT- on second glance I see it could be anything. I do see your top vent now though. It looks in the pic of the inside like you have a filter, then a 90 degree bend of (6"?) ducting going outside to
- another 90 degree bend and - what? A sleek looking fan I guess? Nice setup. I wonder why the high temps.
Well for now, all you need is one or two of those bulbs going and the rest can be unscrewed, so that buys you time to figure it out hey?

GLR is a light schedule of 12 on, 5.5 off, 1 on, 5.5 off. An hr on in the middle of 12/12 to keep your plants from flowering. It's pretty common. I really would go out and get some blue cfls. Mix your spectrum but 2-1 (blue to red) will work better early on. The seedlings look just a bit wet too. I like your water system but it may need some adjustment. My advice... Drop half your bulbs while you dial in, change 4 of those 6 to 6500k. Dry out your soil some. You'll be fine. 75 in a garage is awesome! Plenty of volume to normalize your temps. That is just my advice, not gospel. Good Luck!!

I typed out a bunch about your self watering pots too- thought they may be keeping things a bit too damp for the seedling stage. Decided not to send because didn't want to dump to much 'helpful info' all at once. Others have had this problem I think- (Sweetsue with the Swick system) -the self watering thing works better after they are a bit older. They do seem to be surviving though- just a little yellow around the gills.

Saraakiishii maalintaas 10 gasho!! [said the Somali pirate]

Shamefully I was in Home Depot today attending business matters and have yet to acquire 6500k bulbs. HOWEVER, I did heed your warnings and shut down half (6/12) the lighting array and lowered the lights back to 2" away. In addition I emptied both the lower reservoirs and sprinkled a little DE (diatomaceous earth) on top. The soil is currently moist but not over saturated. Its just starting to separate from the borders of containers. Temp dropped to about 88F after light adjustment. Also, to clarify, the garage has a wall unit AC (can't recall BTUs) which is set to 75F but its on all day, which means the (detached+uninsulated ceiling) garage never actually gets down to that temp, Plus it blows up the middle of the space and my tent is off to one side. Im running the lights from 6p - 12p to avoid the hottest hours of the day but in this climate it doesn't seem to make a difference.

This is probably a really dumb question, because I live in a place where there is no such thing as air conditioners, and don't know exactly how they work- but- could that thing be set a bit lower and/or have your intake drawing from directly in front of it to take advantage of the cold air it puts out? Not knowing how it works and being too lazy to google it- I don't know if it just chills the air as much as it possibly can all the time, and shuts off whenever the set temp is reached, (the same way an oven heats- it's either on or it's off) or if it spits out 75 degree air when set to 75.
I sense this is a dumb question.

Hehehe there is a way -under 'thread tools' on the grey bar running along near the top. But posting in a thread automatically subs you which is why you see people writing stuff like 'subbed' sometimes.

aha!! EVERYTHING makes sense now. Thanks weaz

Now that we've sorted all that put lets get back to business...
Sir weasel, the AC pumps out cold air until the unit reaches set climate. Todat it was 98F (according to my pickup dash) so even if i set that bastard to 60F it will still run all day regardless of what temp i set it to. I should get a thermo but i estimate the garage prob stays at about 80F most of the day.
Yesterday i did not stop w work (altgough i was at home depot and STILL did not get the bulbs!) and necer checked in on the girls. Leaves continue to stretch towards lights. They were real dry when i checked them an hour ago so i gave them some pumps of spray bottle water, think i might fill res again? Pics coming soon...

"Jimini Jillikers Batman! I've lost track of the days?! Time?! Space?!"
"Get a hold of yourself Robin!!" ::mean ass slap across face:: "We're on day 12... I think."
lol. Ok, so the girls were extra dry today. Those first round small leaves have almost dropped but new growth continues to appear. I did not have any contact with them yesterday at all, and didn't get to them until about an hour ago, but they were hanging in there. Temp is stable at 90F and i misted them some more as well i filled the reservoirs again.

Still no sign of life from those hindu kush seeds either:hmmmm:

i vote for bigger pots. you can grow plants in small containers but need to be perfect. Also, roots die when exposed to light. It may be time for something opaque. If you transplant, the green side goes up! Good luck

That is very good advice, reps+ for you my friend!!
