Pbz's First Time!

It may be the same- the trick with iphone anyway is I make sure the pic is taken with the phone held horizontally, left side of phone pointing at ground. Or otherwise - edit and rotate the pic so that it is horizontal. (It's hard to tell since the screen automatically rotates it for viewing).

Entry #8 in Log de Capitan...
These hoes done moved on up like the Jeffersons! They'll be tanning from 6:00pm to noon 24/7! I'm soaking 2 more seeds of so-called Hindu Kush?! Maybe, we'll see. I'll updated tonight before bed with some stats from the box, time for dinner...

Entries 9 and 10! Grand Admiral Tarkin's Personal Ledger....

Yesterdays events showed little to no advance. Imperial Fleet remains vigilant. Temperatures in the box stable at around 95F? Humity around 32%. However, the creatures seem to be thriving. Leaves have enlarged and stems stretched and leaned a bit more...
Resolution?! Half a BBQ skewer and a twisty tie. God help us...

Ah yes... Well. We must be careful what we wish for. These matters must be approached with the greatest caution.
For no tale can be much good without a fair maiden to inspire it, or at the very least, one to listen to it, with her pretty ears. What should happen then if, when enchanted by my tale and drawn closer to my lustrous lip hairs, such fair maiden be confronted by a
Foul Weasel?!!!
Or perhaps even a score of Weasels?!!!
,having taking up residence there?!! How quickly would I go from valiant cracker of weasels to lonely wretch, with nothing but a hairy lip infested with parasites.
Indeed, what could be worse, save perhaps having the mods delete our wise reasonings, because they oh so mistakenly think we have drifted off topic?

Yes, well we must throw the mods a bone now and then. They need not worry though- we are sure to return to our favorite subject eventually.
I don't grow with cfls but obviously 2" is fine, and some people I read like to keep them at one inch which may be hard to do when they're moving so fast. A movement fan helps their stems stay strong through this period.

Oh I see temps at 95.
Danger
Too high.
Definitely keep below 90 and preferably below 85. Around 75 is more like the ideal. Seedlings seem a bit more tolerant than later stage plants but not that tolerant.
+reps on the weasel bait ideas

It beats spraying yourself w weasel urine lmao.

My buddy told me its a bit high too but could not offer me a practical way to drop temp aside from switching to a LED$...
He also said some strains are wylier than others, but i did lift the lights a little further. First day in the box lights were like 4" away (before i went down to 2") and they seemed to be thriving so I'm hoping the shiny interior makes up for distance.
Pics in a bit...

They are more than 'a bit' too high so something will have to be done before too long. As you probably know- the usual trick is to use a vent fan to vent out hot air from the top of your grow, while drawing cool air in from- wherever you can access the coolest air around.
I'm guessing the temps outside your tent are lower - so if you can vent from the room itself- or for outside, whichever is cooler, and vent out to...wherever, probably with a carbon filter at some point.

But for now, just getting that temp down ten degrees or so however you can do it, will help your little planties, and should be fairly easy to do with one small fan. It probably doesn't have much to do with the distance between lights and plants- more an overall room venting issue.

What is your ambient room temperature? Are you in a closet? I wouldn't think a handful of CFLs would warm up a room. I've got a 10'x10' room with 600w from wall LED. Ambient room temp of 74. Room heats up to 80 by the end of the day. 4x4 gets up to 89. I have a 6" 440cfm dialed down to 50%. I choke the fan back because it sounds like an airplane wide open. I bit the bullet and bought a 5000 btu AC. Still working on my environment.

Sounds like you're moving enough air through. May need to address your outer environment. For the time being (at this stage), drop a bulb or 2 while you dial in your room.

Good start! Good luck!
