Hello growers. This is my first attempt. I am a major DIY'er, everything from my pole barn to my yard work. I'm a big smoker but also a naturalist so to cut expenses and cultivate my own smoke I am making this effort until laws change and I can grow it outdoors freely lol. Don't expect me to be citing books either (I can barely remember what I had for lunch most days lol.) After doing research (books and around the web) and some penny pinching. I put together this:

a 2x2x4 grow tent
12 CFLs (2700k 60Hz 23W) 6 per hood
Fews fans and a carbon filter.

I also made some self watering planters from soda bottles and I'm using Perlite (which I pre-rinsed) with some MG Natures care.

I dropped some seeds in tonight and I'm germinating under plastic for greenhouse effect (thnx to cannabis in canada youtube) on a window sill. I have many seeds I've aquired over time (stored properly of course) so I have no idea what will come of them, but I'm excited. Day 1 begins...

HA! I always try and scrounge. Those reflectors are from dollar tree lol. I'm thinking diy self waterers when I upsize the pots.
 
Don't call em males yet bro! They're just reaching or it could be genetics. Give them time and youll be rewarded. And if theyre dudes, chalk it up to a learning experience. You said they were fem seeds right? :)

Naye sir. The first bumch I've been trying I got from a buddy who buys ALOT of buds but is not super picky. But I also have some from my bro couple hindu kush, 1 from some fire jamaican stuff and couple from his buddy who makes wax (supposedly called shatter)
