well After spending the money I learn what I did wrong, doesnt matter how much research I do you been with me a while you know thats true we do Hydrogro But I was thinking Bleach was cheaper and quickerIm going in my tent and drink a bottle of bleach lol NO JUST KIDDING dont suicide hotline me

Im transplanting them on friday to Gro buckets. If I dont these wicks will be a nightmare and I cant be taking my SCROG apart to clean them so I went ahead and 6 gro buckets they are on pg 2 of the Sippers club

we were talking about how in a hydro the roots are under water, they have a aerator to keep O2 in the water If Im not mistaken when the soil is wet doesnt it displace the O2 and when it drys the O2 displaces the water so when those roots that arent always wet like the bottom are actully drowing in the pot while it is so wet
I dont Know if this is totally correct but I did a few B's and I pretty much talked myself into it being true maybe ill luck out and the transfer will work

I had extra run off the last 2 nights.
That tells me they have started to slow down nutrient consumption.
They are further along than I thought.

Im getting my excavation gear together gotta do emergency transplant I have a Grimm Truffle on it's last leg the othe GT is almost pristine but then I didnt yank a second rootball out of the swicklol
Hey you will be happy to know I transplanted jada in a 30 gal pot How did I do it? the bill way Bokashi frass worm casing Dynomyco and last but not least Geo Flora ya know Im trying these diffrent ways even though. I know my old Gropro warriors FF and geo flora works just fine one of 2 things will happy I will either prefect the way I decide to grow or die trying at at my age Im hoping for at least 18 more years If I hit 80 I win the game if I die at 79 and 11 months I lose. I always give gratz to those who make the 80 they are the winners lol

I think it is safe to say they can come off the resperator looks like they will survive and Thrive
But when I wake up and see something standing tall and firm at my age it just makes my day (even if it isnt attached)

Love the property, lot's of room for a greenhouse.
I always Loved visiting there as a high-school kid.
First place I ever saw a bong let alone smoked one.

Loads of civil was artifacts, but you already know that.
And white water rafting, Friday night football games keggers galore drive through beer stores.
But sunshine and friendly people were the best attractions.
I miss going down there.
Still have fond memories of the NewGate Prison too, hehe.

as far as yesterday The Big Plant is Jada a Landrace Durban Poison My 1 plant summer project I hope to not be able to see my garage by october the rest are Autos Im piddlin around with'
The pretty lady with me is a blind date I got set up with in the army 2 sons 6 Grandkids 31/2 Great Grandkids and 40 yrs later we are still on that blind date. and still smokin together
now the real stars of the show. Carly the old Tan pit, lab, shepherd mix a sweetheart starting to have hip isses
2 the black puppy chupacabra from hell 9 week old Lab/great Dane mix keeps on trying to steal my heart with them puppy dog eyes pure evil especially if you are a sneaker or sock
3 last but not least My babie Precious Marie that ankle bittin yappin alligator mouth, tadpole Ass dog Remember saying Ill never have one of those little rat Bastards she is a chiweenie and that little rat bastard is attached to me by the Hip.
So for MY friends who dont know squat about me How ya do

Im still working on a video I wanna do a before and after . I think some will be surpised at how they come back. and Honestly you guys have a been HUGE MASSIVE BIG HELP ! Im afraid to start naming people in fear of missing some one but if you offered advice to me the last 2 weeks beyond a doubt have not only helped me you have taught me and even showed me how to handles problems on my own

@Gee64 buddy you helped me a lot especially with the Cal/Mag and fish fertilizer, and I bought the one that said Liquid Fish. Buddy I trully appreciate it but I wish you would have mention that liquid fish smells so like really , really old dead fish run thru a juicer .but the worse part is scrubbing with hot water and soap for 5 hrs cause I smelled Like really , really old dead fish run thru a juicer

@Azimuth , @ReservoirDog you guys really helped with the soil and the SIP but one thing That has been very helpful
Vitamin C and the ability to remove chlorine and chloramine (which I never even knew exisited) there are some down sides . I found it kinda hard to find VC in pill or tablet form but if you want Vitamin C Gummies they are freakin every where. I finally did get some Tablets(if you ever use the C crush the tablets to powder or they take 3 days to dissolve.)
but 1000mg (2 tablets) will remove all chlorine and chloramine out of a full bath tub in under 5 minutes'
Huge tip saved a lot of work thank you

I was feeling kinda bummed out its been like 2 weeks right? let me check the calendar hmmmm, ok maybe its only been 4 days but sure feels like 2 weeks
Transplant day June 11 ------------------------------------------>today June 15

ok so maybe they are lookin a bit better, Hard to tell when ya check them every 20 min
they are looking a lot better Im going to start a EWC tea I would like to see my color the new growth looks good
My goal is to flip them in about 2 weeks. I want the net some where between 70% to 80% full. but they need to be healthy. Last grow I thought a flip and stretch would fix some issue and that was STUPID!

I may be wrong but from past experience it seems the first couple weeks of flower are a bit stressful it always seems if you get issues, it starts when they flower and doesn't end till harvest.
well maybe it is just me who stresses big time in flower lol

here is a tidbit I am growing a Sativa dominate and a Indica Dominate plants together I hope to harvest all at the same time both have 58 to 62 day flower

@Bill284 how ya doing buddy hope all is well, you have grown a lot of plants. is it me or can sativas be a bit finicky? the ones I have grown seem to get burnt very easy and don t seem as durable as indica. indica I can tie in a knot and it is fine. I hope the silica will toughen them up any special Tips about sativa leaning plants? from anyone is appreciated

3. is there any unforeseen issues while using a SIP I should be aware of?

Yes, I am familiar. Lol.

1. So this is an interesting question. Most of the organic growers like Emilya and ResDog do exactly that, to wet the organic inputs delivered in a topdressing, but also to keep the organics out of the reservoir for fear they will go anaerobic and breed bad things down there. ResDog said he had several reservoirs go "off" and when they do in a single container SIP, getting the reservoir back in good health could be a problem.

That said, I have fed my Jadam nutes directly through the fill tube for entire grows without having those issues, though that may be because my extracts have been fermented and therefore are in a different state.

2. No, and it can mess with pH. And really, once your plant gets big enough, it's draining the water fast enough that your reservoir, and therefore air stone, will go dry periodically which is not recommended for the airstones.

3. Bigger more robust plants with super strong limbs so if you plan on training you need to get after it early while the ends of the limbs are still pliable. But really, this is a stupid simple way to grow. Plants are generally healthier which means they are less susceptible to issues. They do grow very bushy and dense so you need to keep up with the thinning of the canopy to ensure good airflow.

(Oh, also, be careful when you open the tent )

4. Your reservoir is essentially a full gallon so you'll have some room as it gets bigger. I use a dipstick to track my water usage but you have one of those fancy, schmancy, float sticks so it's easier to tell at a glance. Each plant is different, but sounds like it's actively drinking what it wants.

@Azimuth this is awesome stuff very helpful Im glad it is part of my journal. I have used Geo flora for some of my best grows I originally planned on doing something like @Emilya Green with the SIP and GF. the more I learned from her the more I wanted to go (real )LOS so I tried the Indicanja from purple cow. now I understand why Em stuck with GF. it seems GF is about as close as it gets with out a lot of work mixing soils and so much more. to be honest I been growing about 2 yrs everytime I learn something it opens up 3 more doors to check out I know enough to Know there is a lot more to learn. I have some odd things going on but it is growing so ill just give it time to fix its self.
but there is one thing that has kept me awake and I cant find a solid source that explains the WET/DRY CYCLES OF CANNABIS USING A SIP. I think next grow I will go back to the GF that worked so good and I know how to grow with it I think I need to do a couple more SIP grows. I need to learn 1 thing at a time. now Im guessing is it the soil? the SIP, or is it me screwing things up.

but there is one thing that has kept me awake and I cant find a solid source that explains the WET/DRY CYCLES OF CANNABIS USING A SIP.

That's because there  is none. Once the plant "catches" you just keep water in the reservoir at all times. And once the plant is big and robust enough you can keep the reservoir topped off if you want, though I generally let the water level drop to where there's less than a day's worth left and then give it enough for another couple of days. There is no dry cycle with these systems. When the soil dries out there is a pause in the growth which we want no part of, so we ensure the roots have constant access to water.

I need to learn 1 thing at a time. now Im guessing is it the soil? the SIP, or is it me screwing things up.

With GF you can skip the whole learning about soil thing since it works with most soil-like substrates, even coco.

So, there you go. Just saved you some time that is better spent on a stool admiring your plants anyway.
