Patient's Bonsai

Ya know what @Tommboy1973 , No I haven't used it yet. I still have a couple pumps left of the old Dr. Earth's "pump-n-go".

AgroThrive is a type of predigested plant food. It's plant matter that's been broken down organically. Dr. Earth is the same thing, it's got a vinegary smell to it just like AgroThrive; almost like soy sauce.

Blue Planet Nutrients are a sponsor that has the predigested ferts as well.

So when running with the AgroThrive, I would watch for micronutrient deficiency. I am not saying it will be a problem, but some liquid kelp meal is a handy tool for all soil growers to have. My usual issue when running any liquid organic nute is Magnesium deficiency, which is easily addressed with Epsom Salts; another good tool for soil growers.

I have maintained bonsai mothers for over a year with a low number organic liquid nute (2-2-2) + epsom salts.

I also grew an outdoor plant with nothing but an organic liquid nute (2-2-2) and it smelled outstanding and looked great, but bud density lacked a touch without the extra P-K boost that AgroThrive's flowering formula brings.

So be sure to use the flowering formula about 2-3 weeks after flip indoors or Early flowering stage outdoors.

Thanks! I’ll look into Blue Planet Nutrients as well. As a novice grower I’d prefer something that has feed charts for me to follow so I don’t screw anything up! Been using bottled but want to switch to organic for my summer grow in my raised bed.

Hi'yo my good friend!

So so sorry for the lack of anything, I've been tied up and tied down (HA!) with getting back on my feet. Health has been a big issue since the last year and a half (WOW it's been that long!!). Best it try, can't hold this ol man down hahaha.

/long winded whooha

SOOOooooo, since you asked...
On the best part of things, I've gotten back at it (WOOT!) and am actually able to keep up this round..

Lets see, I've had four "kinda-sorta-tried-to" grows between now and year and a half ago when these health problems started. In short and so you, and folks can understand the following difficulties in my growing efforts, I had multiple brain bleeds over a year ago now(WOOT! Gotta go big ya know HAHAH). Beat all the odd's big time while in the hospital. They discovered a heart problem while there, beat that down too (at least so far). Biggest problems since, major memory issues, mostly short term (so lots of note taking for me now'a days), and bending over, or on all fours, when standing back up causes major loopy-head-weehoo problem for a few moments. All the other problems from the issues have been beaten down like the monsters they were (rehab for the win!). muhahah! So onward..

Been missing you and the other crew that I got to know on the forums big time!! Thought's and prayers have been with you guys and gals always while I been away. I've lurked here and there but nothing like I wanted.
Miss yall big time!

/end long winded whooha

The first I failed due to lack of any ability from me at the time (just under a year ago, not sure), and just started WAY too soon after trying to recover. The second kinda went the same way as well, didn't even get the first or second in the big planters. The third, I was in luck in a big way and managed to get five different strains going in the mom box finally. The round itself turned out very weak flowers, but hey, beats nothing ya know?

At that point, I really just focused on keeping the mom's alive and healthy. Some big tweaks here and there, and now I am flowering my first round that I feel is actually on track. Well at least mostly. Only managed to do four girls this time though, vs. the usual six.

So let me end this long rant about me and my doings in YOUR thread, and perhaps redirect to back on topic =)
Perhaps a request, that you post a pic journal so to speak of how you trim your bonsai mom's next time you do?

Thank you for all your efforts, work, Love and post @Pat Puffer it is wonderful reading about!!

Haha, fantastic to hear. I really don't post that much anymore. My life has changed dramatically and presently I am training as a moderator. This particular thread was done to show my bonsai set up and it died after that. Whenever I find time to post something it usually goes here Patient's Grows ,but even that hasn't seen much activity lately. It is great to hear from you and to know you are doing well. Please take care of yourself and feel free to send me a PM so we can keep our personal business personal. I look forward to hearing from ya again and getting some more good news about your health; take care my friend.
@Red Runner

Glad that you're getting back on your feet @Red Runner, I hope you're on the mend and soon back doing the gardening that you love even if you have to adjust your approach. Best Wishes.
And @Pat Puffer I hope you're keeping well with the changes you've gone thru, all the best too!

@Stunger Bless you sir for checking in. I/we are well. We are still in California and about to move in 1-3 months. After that move I will be MIA for about 1 year building our home. This is my grow home, so I will return back to doing what I do in a new state (to remain nameless).
