Parfactworks HB 1500, Weed Seeds Express & Prescription Blend 3x Sponsored Grow - The Safari Pt I: A Vegetative Journey

Never heard of basil for migraines...I'll try that out before reaching for the Fioricet next time! :thanks:

Congrats on the transplants too. :welldone:

Two things that came to mind:

First is that all of your first true leaves are curled down. Do your seedlings always do that? Also, I personally don't recommend people spraying sprouts as the water can burn the leaves when the lights are on, and it enables the plants to take in water through their leaves rather than sending out roots to do that. I know you said yours had lots of roots, but as a general rule I don't think they benefit from getting sprayed.
Thanks, a little early as we noted previously...

No, this is my first time with a dimmer light on my seedlings so I have been experimenting with strength and distance. They curled down I believe from heat..I have always used a small dose of nutes whether it helps or not is still something I don't know....guess my next round we will try the no nute approach in the first two weeks for a change...I've just been pushing what I know and trying things I haven't and seeing what works, trying to get my feet wet experimenting but not kill my plants at the same time...it's a delicate balance I'm trying to keep. God willing, the Libra will stay stable for me

Seedlings don’t like me for reason using an led . I’ll pull out my 18” fluorescent T5 and if they try stretching on me I can drop it right where I start to feel heat .

Oh I didn't know you were trying new things, sorry! Based on the leaves I think you could be giving them a lot less light (and moisture...that will curl leaves down as well) for now. And in terms of when to feed, I try not to pay attention to weeks and just see what the plant is doing. Some take off like a shot and some sit back and build roots with hardly anything happening on top.

Like Rx Blend, I wait for the second set of true leaves to come in fully before starting with their nutes.

I turned them down to 25 % and 30 % as one is a stronger wattage, now that they are raised up in the bigger pots. I had brought them back down to 50 then 40 before I moved them..maybe it was too much? Idk...first go round...I don't think they're gonna pass over the green bridge but they certainly want me to get my lighting together already...I'm hoping this works...if not I'm not afraid to whip out my 6- 60 Watters and alternate full and Blue spectrum like I usually do...that will be an adventure for tomorrow if necessary...fingers crossed. I'm glad to know it's not just me...and don't take this the wrong way, but coming from you, knowing you have a growing fault after all comforts me :hugs::rofl:

Oh no worries Shed!! I didn't preface any of this conversation with that information!! Plus, I ALWAYS appreciate your words of wisdom!! I dropped the lights down a lot already, I just told @West Hippie....and I think it was a little under water with the leaves this time cause I had them pretty dry-again, getting used to the heat from these lights! I'll figure it out! Im a trooper with some common sense and a little green in my blood and I have all of you and the community here...no worries!

I can clone anything I found out but still I have to watch my seedlings like a hawk for two weeks.

Well that's good West knowledge to know!! I feel privileged I was told of your one and only vulnerability!!

You know, I'm just so new at growing that I've read a lot of controversial things and heard a lot of controversial things and haven't had the opportunities to try anything out for myself and see if I'm with the one side or the other or somewhere neutral in between. I just want to learn and to teach, eventually, and what better way to do that than from personal experience with as much as possible...and from watching you and @InTheShed and every other fantastic grower I follow and ones that I don't even know are out there yet, but I'll find them and learn some more!

That’s why you and I and everyone else are here at 420 to share what we’ve seen and done .
I’m so stuck on rockwool it’s even in my soil grows for the mother plants

Once you go Rockwool, you never go back  but you're absolutely right!!!

DAILY WISDOM #29

"Non tutte le ciambelle riescono col buco"
"Not all donuts come out with a hole"

I thought of this saying tonight as I trimmed...thinking back and forth about about the early transplanting and the new LED light I am learning to use on my seedlings.

Things change in life, we learn to adapt. We make mistakes along the way. We learn from them. We take chances, we win and we lose. But just being able to do it all is pretty glorious.

This saying should be interpreted as such:

Things don't always turn out the way you intended them to or things may not go according to your norm all the time but fact of the matter is-a donut is delicious with or without a hole....

Who thought a hole-less donut would work and then the Italians gave us zeppoles....you just never know until you try!

Sorry, I had to....

This is what happens when you go to empty the drip trays and there are roots coming all out the bottom holes already...they be digging for some food...Mama had to deliver, so I mixed up some castings FFOF and a splash of Seed Starter to balance the heat of the fertilized mix...

**I generally do not re home this early or move to the standard pots that I did, but....**

Waiting on Goldie because:

A. She only had 1 little root part out
B. I ran out of soil

I'll be anxiously waiting to see how they respond overnight....fingers crossed guys!

Kind of like children...they outgrow their enclosure repeatedly and often.

Yes!!! Exactly lmao @ppm Charlie!!

***GOOD NEWS FRIENDS***

THE TRANSPLANTS WERE SUCCESSFUL!!!

I don't think I slept for 30 min last night between the second wind from trim jail and being hopeful/nervous I made the right decision to move them and did enough shimmy shimmy of the light arrangement...

Dimming the lights to 25 and 30% is certainly helping! I don't think I'm gonna have to whip out the old 60W set up anymore!! This girl is finding a way with this new veg tent light system!

Not all girls have completely recovered buuuuut all coloring is getting back to normal and even those with their first set still down have much more prominent second sets coming in now! I may have fried the first set on some wetting my feet, but I don't just kill plants. It is not in my nature, I'll try everything and I'll never just throw in a towel.

I'm waiting patiently for Goldie to spawn her second set (you can see two of the smallest leaves this morning if you look really hard!) with her teeny size, I am not chancing moving her just yet-even when I get more soil later...

Salute guys and gals

Doing great! I’m seriously considering trying to get a few seeds to grow in some soil - but oy vey … that means going to the Home Depot to try to find some acceptable soil and god only knows what else!

Where may I ask do you want to put your soil grow??!! You're funny just complaining about space lmao!

Beats me … maybe hubby will let me confiscate a small section of the utility room or laundry room - and I can use my old blurple for now …

That's all you need really....I'm sure he will love the addition lol

I squinted and magnified and even got my loop on it. I’ll look at Goldie again tomorrow.:laughtwo:

Onyx's first true leaves that I fried both by light and sprayed nutes, are coming back up over the last couple of hours! I started to just focus on those healthy second sets making their way through, but the force is strong in this one!

Time and patience, I keep telling myself...all is ok in my growing world!

I could be seeing things, I haven't slept much or finished my coffee this morning. I see a bump on the bottom middle section, the smallest of bumps...I'll check tomorrow too
