PakaloloHawaii's LED High Brix Perpetual!

thanks for taking time to respond to my Q?!!!:high-five:

i have come to the same conclusion as well i just can never hear enough from other peoples personal experiences.

and now that you say it i do now remember reading the part about 2nd cat drench late do a flush so thanks again.

do you suggest or have any experience using a second cat drench??

As of right now, I'm not doing the second Cat drench. I reserve the right to change my mind in the future, but from what I've seen, the plants taste sweeter and yield is higher if you finish with Energy.

I do not flush.

Innocent bystanders who know a bit about growing who smoke my produce always ask, "How long did you flush to get it this smooth?" They look at me funny when I tell them I don't flush, but I do soak the buds in water after harvest....

I didn't end up doing a late cat drench with the syntax. I was going to with the extrema, but that didn't go as planned. I'll try it on the blue hammers for sure. The longer flowering time of a sativa dominant should allow a mid/late flower cat drench and still finish with energy for almost a month

I'm finding that Cat drench at finish should be case by case. I'm only going to do it in the future if the buds look like they really need it.

It distorted the crap outta my Panama - looks like some kinda of knobby OG.

I do the late cat drench for flavor. 2 weeks before harvest allows you to get a dose of energy in there before you pull.

You're right curso, I think as close to possible to harvest while still being able to squeeze in energy is better. Good call
;) That's also partly how I ended up with that pink Chem Valley Kush too:high-five: Things were falling a bit flat on my mutt strains so I tried ebsom salt but that didn't cut it, so after talking with Doc the sulfur is what we're after and provided by the cat drench late. Energy sweetens things up at the end. Humans are funny we need sulfur to activate our palate. If things are flat tasting with food the answer is 99.9% of the time add salt.

What can I use to bulk up my minerized buds, they are pre Hi-brix ? I need something to swell the calyx, I have used bat guano but there still isn't any swelling.

HOnestly, I wouldnt' worry too much about it. If you're in regular soil it's quite possible there's NOTHING that can be done to direct the plant, short of nasty hormones which probably aren't safe and certainly aren't recommended for food crops.

Just keep 'em green and let 'em grow.

High Brix soil is very different than regular soil, even if the soil is mineralized. There's really no substitute for it, as anyone who uses it can tell you.

LOL people trip on washing the buds ahahahaha

DOC,TAVOSVO.GRAYTAIL & CURSO^^^^ Thanks for the wealth of knowledge on the subject! all you guys are great!!

Super stoked on my drying tote!

Can't really control temps but they have been great anyway 69-71, and I've been able to keep RH perfect! It was 50-55% for the first three days, then I used some weather stripping to seal the lid a bit better, and hung a couple of wet microfiber hand towels in there and voilà! 60% RH!

Sweet! I thought I'd have a hard time drying in the room because of low humidity but everything is going way better than I expected!
Thanks doc for the drying room info, keeping RH at 60% is genius, can't really over dry the buds and they end up perfect for a nice jar cure!

Well, I've got a real leggy one here - Blue Hammer #3. This was transplanted into a 7gal pot on 12/18, and put into flower 12/28, so we are at day 18 from the flip. She just got her first feeding, energy. I'm going to use 1.5ml transplant for watering, and 4ml of energy/transplant/cationic for all feedings. I'd like this time to go as light strength as possible hoping to encourage the plant to create the exudiates that I know will really turn things on.

I have another blue hammer in the veg tent, it's been in 7 gallon pot for 20 days now, so double as long as #3...I'm expecting a monster. She looks to be of a shorter stature than #3 as well, so I have high hopes for a nice tight bush. It's really still all in the air though...breeders guidelines said a long veg is not necessary as she puts on a good show during the stretch. Idk my tent is gonna be real empty after I harvest my other syntax tonight - BH #2 gets flipped and it should be an exciting few months coming up here.

That's some fine looking marijuana you have there sir.

Thanks doc! Yours aren't anything short of amazing as well! Plastic plants and resin covered fan leaves!

Pretty excited about this round. The syntax is awesome for what it is but I've been smokin that shit for the last year it seems my palette is looking for something different.

I'm really looking for something with lots of flavor. Sweet berries or grape, skunky earth pine, lemony anise spice. The syntax is only alright in the flavor department. Well, what I know of her from past grows. She is in jars curing, I'm really hoping for something special in a couple weeks.

Blue dream should fit the bill :thumb:

Anything with a good dose of Blueberry is going to taste good. Blue Dream is awesome, one of my favs.

Thai strains can be very fruity and floral too. Plus they make you feel really good.
