P9 Hunts For The Unicorn With Mars SP 250s

Someone sell their house in L.A. and decide to retire to your neck of the woods? That's a lotta house!

On the plus side, you get to lay a lot of pipe...
It's a beautiful ranch.... this is one of the jobs I sold. The price literally doubled on the site today as the homeowner tells me they want to add a second story to the center of the home.

Added 5 more fixtures.... that cost about $1k per.

They already have a home on the (140 acre ranch) but it was built in the 70's & has seen better days. LoL

Big cattle money out of Houston. Anywhoo.... they're sparing no expense.... which scares me a bit to think about what a PITA expensive faucets & trim can be to install.

Oh well.... they pay well & on time. I'll figure out the rest.

The more of a pain the higher the profit!
That's the realm I live in.... trying to be really good at shit others can't (or won't)

99% of our workload is new construction, and custom homes. Surprisingly, most plumbing companies steer clear of building, the do only service work. The companies who do build, only do track homes with repetitive floorplans.

That leaves a huge void for us to fill. The pay is good, and the work is satisfying. I get to see some pretty trick shit in some of these homes. I love it, beautiful homes..... that I'll never afford!

Holy crap P that house is massive! That sounds like a money maker for sure. I would love to bang in some hardwood in a house that big. I get paid by the square ft so that would add up quick. Lots of new builds going up where I live but the majority are condos and are usually rental buildings because there is a huge shortage of rentals available where I live. The cost of a single family home is high here and alot of people get priced out of owning a home.

Most of our new homes are people jumping over from the neighboring county where taxes are much higher. Taxed right out of the metro area.

I'm gonna ride the wave for a few years, then move back out to some acreage when we become "suburbanites"
LoL

That's the dream would love to have some acreage. The wife and I both grew up in the country and now live in suburbia with houses all around but better work opportunities where we are now then where we grew up. Maybe one day we can do it and not have to worry about neighbors bitching if your grass is half an inch to long lol.

Nothing much to update.... Shiskaberry popped up.

So, maybe I can still salvage a grow for Barney's after all. LoL

Here's the other Barney's babies.

Still waiting on the Peyote Critical to germinate. That seed had the slightest bit of white popping out... maybe tomorrow.

Here's the rest.... I'm sure I missed a few, but they're likely to be culled. Best I cut the cord now before anyone starts catchin' feelings.

I'm off to take a bath in Ben Gay LoL
:snowboating:

Please tell me that they at least picked fixtures made of brass or better at that price.

We used pretty much all 'real' fixtures when I ripped out this house 12 years ago and have not pulled one yet.

In my wifes office, those home depot nylon specials last about 60 days.

Here's a few shots I took last night...

Hey! I saw those on IG! Lol

Looking good brother!!

No time to read everything, but I’m in!

I’m very interested in the job you were doing! Lol typical construction guy I am! I might as well have face shoved your plants to the side to get a look at the construction

Those seedlings look happy and healthy especially the bop tang and cheese. I heard you mention you really like cheese strains in one of your video updates I may have to try one day.

The Seedsman Cheese strain is just the most consistent strain I've ever grown. The flavor is definitely different, an acquired taste. I'm honestly not "blown away" by the smell & taste like some of my other faves. This one is just a consistent producer.

Always dense & frosty, a good balanced high. I've fallen in love with it over time.

I still haven't seen a single variance in phenotype after 3 plants, with seeds from 3 separate packages. Mind=Blown.
