I found about a million dead gnat babies in the veg room this morning. Nastiest shit I've seen in awhile. Makes my skin crawl ... yuck
On a good note, it looks like the dunk worked to kill off everything in the coco.
Still..... yuck!
The plants took a heavy hit, but should still recover. At this point, I'm considering cutting clones of each & trashing the current plants.
The amount of shit I saw come out of those pots today...... not sure I'll ever be able to kill em all.
Now I'm also confused about which of my totes of "reuse" coco is tainted. I'm considering tossing it all in my raised beds outside & buying all new bricks of coco for the next group.
Flower room is still bug-free though!

Yup....
Losing these 4 clones is a small price to pay as well. I'd rather cull than transplant & spread it further.
I'm gonna take cuts today & cull those 4. The CPK seedling will get tossed too.
Grabbing fresh coco & dropping beans ASAP.
I've decided on
2- Critical Purple Kush
2- Blue Ice OG
2- GelatOG

....I'll take a couple cuts of each, in hopes of keeping all 4 alive. Timeline isn't an issue for me. They finish when they finish.
The CPK seedling is only a couple days old, I got plenty more.... easy to toss.
I'll clean the room top-to-bottom & get the new babies rolling.

White OG #2 and Somango survived the cullings because I was able to eradicate their bugs completely. I was able to snuff them out easier in the fabric pots because the top dressing sealed them in & suffocated.
The hard pots that the clones & seedling are in have holes at the bottom... while the top dressing & dunks killed a bunch, they still had access to come & go through those lower holes instead of being forced through the perlite & DE.

Sorry to hear the clones are getting axed, but I am definitely keeping this Sundae Driver and Tropicana Cookies for a long, long, long time, so just holler if you want them back. Actually have some popping roots right now in the clone box.
Figured that was always a last chance option! Appreciate ya brotha!

I can be quiet all day around the house and whenever the Mrs decides to take a nap apparently I turn into this noise making machine. I'll bang glasses, drop plates, slam cupboards and whatever else makes a bit of noise. I think the fact I know I have to be quiet makes it actually harder to do.
I wonder if ladies nylons would work to keep the gnats out of drain holes on hard pots???
I used a white plastic bag to diffuse the light on my flashlight and smd for pics. Just tied it on..worked great. Try to trap some air in the bag.
