Oz's First Grow - Pyramid Tut In Coco

Hey buddy, I got shouted at lol by Doc Bud for putting stones at bottom of my girls. Its not supposed to be a good thing. I used it mainly for the reason of not having enough medium. I ain't had any problems with it though.

Lol....I had noticed mate :) To be honest, this is what I used to use on construction sites for French Drains. It's totally inert and I've still got 8" depth in a 12" pot. So, I've turned my 20ltr pots into 12ltr ones :) The pee gravel cost £2.10 a bag so cheap as lol

To be honest Col coco tends to stay fairly stable :) I've drilled 6mm (1/4") holes so the 10mm pee gravel works really well. It also creates a small vacuum effect drawing air into the roots.....BONUS :)

Yeah, it's more for soil than coco. I haven't had any soil loss at all and the pots drain just fine.

Hi Mick. Cocos good for 4-5 grows mate :)

Cool. Going to use it next grow for sure. Nice pics. OZ. Your babies are looking great. I was off one of those smudges when I estimated mine were a couple weeks older than yours. I'm flipping to 12/12 today and all the girls are under bondage. It's not neat and structured like LA's but I think it will help yield a lot.
Don't want to hijack your thread, so picture updates will be on the over 50s Thread.
Cheers

Mick, feel free to post your pics on here mate. Your girls look great buddy :) Could do with a bit of "glamour" on my journal :)

Evening all. Quick heads up regarding the Autos.....all 6 germinated and I've just put them into their pots. On good advice (Dr P, LA, Alex, Cult, AG etc....and it doesn't get better than those guys) I won't be transplanting them so they've gone STRAIGHT into 20ltr pots that I've reduced to a 13ltr capacity. I'll keep you all posted on this journal as to their progress :)

Look at you all multi strained. Lol. awesome on the germ My friend.

Just like the master himself :) Got a nice little tap on the LA Diva :) Gert was a bit of a "Diva"

I'll post some pics tomorrow mate :) Off to bed in a mo after I've done a little re-routing of lighting lol :)

Lol I set the metal halide up earlier so today's her first day under propper light.
Iv been in and out and in and out making sure everything's running right. Hps n mh scare the shit outa me wen I think of the of the possible fire risks with the huge heat they can give off. If a chain wasn't secure etc etc..... Stay safe of, make sure everything is secure and nothing's touching. On the outside of my grow room door I have a smoke alarm mounted. Not meaning to give a firemans lecture lol
Just it's worth being over carefull

:thumb:Great success rate OZ.:goodjob: Mine have gone well too.:cheertwo: All 8 UBC Chemo have germed and planted in peat pots:( next time I'll follow your example and go straight into pots as the masters advise:) Two of the Mango M1 are in the peat too and I can see the last two peaking out.
Also did 8 White Widow and 2 Sativa Diablo clones. The next generation is alive and well.:peace:

Eight or nine weeks to go good weed. How do I wait?

OZ/ounce?:high-five: IT's ALL GOOD!! Crikey, those girls are looking sweet! I like the horizontal training, if you can't get the yellow out, maybe you could use the flash a few seconds before or after light comes on/off, snap pic in dark with flash, then hit the lights to avoid any light stress. Just a thought, I'm starting my first coco grow now. I get out of line sometimes, cheers to all of us. Great journal info. :peace: I'll get those conversions down.

Thanks trichs. The only thing I'm trying to do, is keep all the bud sites on an equal level as possible. It's getting to be a bit of a chore with all these girls. Anyway, it' stone of the myriad of things I've picked up. From Master Light Addict.

Wish I could do camera tricks but the only one I have is the crappy one on an iPad2:)
