Oz's First Grow - Pyramid Tut In Coco

I'm going to spend the day revamping the lighting set ups in both tent and room tomorrow. Got feeding and defol too so busy one buddy lol :) Not got the boy here till Tuesday so no pics till then I'm afraid :)

I wouldn't be suprised if ur panal was adequate well enough to light ur small room. Problem is if u keep hps in your small room with Led panal then tha panal will ideally be above the hps I think. Loosing a lot of its goodness to the reflector of the hps below.
I'd be tempted to go LED only in ur small room + cfl (good experiment)
Or
Just hang ur HPS at the same hight as ur LED panal (higher than optimum for hps) but rather lose a bit of efficiency from the hps than the led if ya get wat I'm saying? Just my thoughts buddy sorry for droning on lol sure ul set it up just splendifourasly :)
 
No apologies needed mate.....love the input :) It's one thing I was going to ask about because I've only got a 400w MH and 500w of CFLs i there at mo.....think I'll put the MH further back into the room and put the LED directly over the FnV experiment :)
 
That I'm sure could work well buddy. Look into the heights for the panel as some work better further away than closer. Strange I no but LA will advise u I'm sure he's read up on LEDS lately...high 5 :)
And u talk of "only 900watts in the small room" lol mate that's a very near optimum amount of light for that space :) a lot would run a single 600 in there. But More is better though:)
 
Lol....done a bit of research mate....450-600mm above the canopy is ideal so happy daze there :) With the LED, MH and CFLs the room will have near 1,000w :) That should do it lol. The tent's got 4 x 600w HPS and 700w of CFLs so 3,100w......again, enough me thinks lol :) I'll get it laid out MUCH better next run :)

Even though I know what your moniker means I always look at it as a Light weed addict; the opposite of my sister, a heavy weed addict. LOL

Hi Jay and Reg.....thank you both kindly :Namaste: I'm loving the growing and constantly learning lol :) For instance.....the watering of fluxed girls is DIFFICULT......hence the system :) Attach a hose to the system with the other end to a pond pump. Drop the pump into a bucket with your nutes and....hey presto....watering/feeding done with little or no mess :)
 
Looking bloody awesome fella! :) on watering lol your way is better than my old vacuum cleaner tube to pour down method! :)
 
Hi matey. Thanks my friend. I always end up with back ache when I feed the girls so this "should" ease it a little lol :)

Cheers Reg......not reached (never will lol) his lofty heights mate :) Keeps me thinking this growing lark though. :) Got a plan formulating for oxygenating roots too......that'll be my next project me thinks :)
 
OZ sorry cant help it but Oxygen pot systems for that my friend :) or get one of them funky pots like Alex has got turned inside out. Then use that as an inner pot with a sealed to outer pot then push at compressed rate into gap of seal! :) (sorry rambling as very medicated on strawberry cough :)
 
Lol....love it mate :) I've got a little experiment formulating in my mind that I want to try next run my friend :) It involves air hoses, pumps and valves (put the gimp mask away!!!! lol :) ). Arghhh, we'll see. Not sure how I'll put it together with damaging roots yet but 99% sure how it'll run :)
