Oz's First Grow - Pyramid Tut In Coco

And when that happens.... Don't make rash decisions sir. Try not to overthink things.
Think I mentioned b4 sometimes u can love a plant to death lol
When u do hit a problem make sure to give the "fix" time to work :)
Sorry if I sound like a lecturer that's not how I'm tryna be mate :)
Ur guna do a Stella job mate :)

That s excellent advice from Alex :thumb:

Great advice YET again guys. Alex, a lecture is EXACTLY what I need mate :adore: lol. Yep, I've got to relax and ENJOY the journey. And, as of NOW I shall.
So, here's the update.....checked at 9am and, congratulation to I'mconfused(#2) and Alex(#3) your girls have made an appearance :) Happy Daze ahead. I've dampened down the coco again(2 pipettes)per pot. Temp is at a steady 78o, Can't wait for the rest to join us :) :slide:

Cheers mate :) Quick Q, my son has got a 150w MH light he used on his marine tank. 15,000 Kelvin so WAY into the blue spec. Will it be ok to use it along with the 400w one I bought yesterday? Thinking of using them through veg on 2 girls :)

I don't know about the light but if it's in the blue spectrum i would think it would be good for veg...there are so many people on here with a deep knowledge of the lights I'm sure you will get an answer soon

Just be careful not to have those lights too close to your new babies...look for the leaf ridges turning up...if you see that back the light off a little

Thanks again mate. I was thinking that myself. I was due to get a 4th 600w hps and have set my tent layout to accommodate it but, as sometimes happens, I got let down with it. I've bought a 400w MH with ballast and bulb off ebay (here Wed I hope) and with my sons marine 150w we should be good to go :) I'm going to keep them under these light initially before firing up the hps's.

Well the higher the "k" the more suited to veg..... Now I'm not sure how far that theory goes I think I read when u hit a certain point the light is almost "uv light" not I have heard of this light type being used I think RICO may have info on it......

But that light keeps that marine tank rock and plants alive so why not.

True mate. Think I'll check with Rico.
Just checked the girlies again and we now 4 little uns :) No1 (Dr Pepper step forward) and No4 (Sir Light :) ). I have them split 5 per tray. The first tray was the girls with the longest roots so I'm not surprised we have 1,2,3 + 4 showing their pretty heads first :)

Thanks guys :thanks: Got a big grim going on here :cheesygrinsmiley: . Honestly, I'm amazed I managed get this far without killing them lol. It would be great to get a "full house" of all 10 but I'm not counting on it. 8 would be great though :thumb:. It's LA I feel sorry for! I'm so going to be picking his brains lol. Peace and good green my friends :green_heart:

Hi mate. I'm cross eyed in amazement already :goof: Tell Gert I love her  and I'll do my best for the :circle-of-love:little uns lol

Just wondering guys.......should I fire a light up for the girls? I've been checking (as you do lol) as my sons Mh (which is 20,000k NOT 15,000k as thought) is not conducive for good growing. As my newly purchased 400w MH wont get here till Thurs I'm thinking one of the 600w HPS's might be needed. Your thoughts/comments please :)

u could put the 600w hps on but i wouldnt recommend it when u are new to growing. the light is intense for seedlings and it will prob slow them down a little and could burn them or make them stretchy. use a cfl if poss. i have seedlings under 600w mh and 600w hps but its tricky to get right.
