That "skunk 18" really has me intregied, it brought back some memories for me,

When I first started out we had a cut of what was called "rotten". It was ran well before I started growing along side our uk cheese, phycosis and livers, sadly it got lost from the market around 2006. I think everyone had that one strain that got away.. This is definatly one of them for me.
It came out later on the forums that all 4 of these strains where hunted from the same batch of old skunk beans.
Seems this skunk 18 is some of the oldest skunk about.

If you want to recapture that rotten skunk, look up blueskiesvienna on Instagram. He has the old skunk building blocks from Oldtimer1. There are a few of us here that went in on a big pack of seeds from him and split them up. I have 1 up now and waiting on 2 more. The terps are being described as straight up skunk to dead skunk, onion, garlic, baby poo and vomit. Some pretty nasty plants are coming out of those beans. They even have the double serrated leaves.

I have him on IG but did not really like the price if I recall correctly.
If you find a dead ringer for the skunk smell, gets you stoned in a fun sativa way. Well grab a clone for me please.

It was pricey but we got a lot of beans. Price per bean was very reasonable. We each got about 40 seeds with the 3 different skunk lines plus the pheno hunter line. He also threw in Strawberry Haze x Skunk and Pineapple x skunk. So for about 1 pack of In House beans (not their most expensive packs) we got a bunch of old school skunk. I will definitely make sure anything good makes it to you.

The hands down favorite was the skunk #1, the cut I kept and cloned smelled exactly like a skunk. A 1/4 ounce in a ziplock bag which was then put in a 1 gallon glass sun tea jar, then in a tool box in the trunk of my car. I could still smell it from 300 feet away. There seemed to be no way to hide it from a person's nose.

Moved up north in 91 and kept it until 96 when a snow storm took out our power for a couple of days. Lost them to the cold, but to this day if I smell a skunk that has sprayed or hit by a car it reminds me of those times.

People were getting tired of the skunk by the mid 90's and you had white widow, blueberry and whatever else high times was promoting that were trending.

I loved that skunk and have been chasing it ever since. Hope to find it or something close one day.

Yeah that's the same skunk I miss, one joints worth would stink out a street. Yeah, the Dutch messed it all up with there commercialism :rofl:.
Its something I'm confident I will get back into my garden, problem is there's just too many lines I want to keep and time and space is a issue :rofl:.

At the time I had just changed careers and was a little strapped for cash. I will do the same for you if I find something in my packs if you like.

Also a problem for me, currently rent and am very limited on what I can do for a grow room.
Hoping to purchase a home in the next year and resolve that problem.

To be clear, I do believe he is talking about the ethos multipass group on fb.
He also stated that another Box for multipass members would go out this summer.

I am getting 2 different cuts of Bubblegum from an old head in Indiana soon in a trade. Would you be able to verify it through samples and pics @overlord ? Saw you mention you had run it way back. He has 2 cuts he collected in Indiana and has kept them both.

It was not a stable strain in those days, for that matter neither was skunk #1.
However with a sample I could verify, there is no mistaking the distinct smell or taste. If it smells exactly like double bubble bubblegum, it may very well be.
Would have to smoke some to further verify.

I kept a indica leaning pheno that would grow 4 to 6 feet on average outdoors. Full thick/heavy producer with the typical christmas tree shape.
 
That should be a great strain to get a hold of!

And I definitely remember Double Bubble Gum - didn't that come with a cartoon or a tattoo inside it as well?

That's a fun flashback - Double Bubble Gum - and making out with my girlfriend in the back of the truck at the drive inn!!!

Yup he says it is Pink Bubblegum smell and flavor, so fingers crossed. 1 of the cuts in particular he got from a guy that has had it since 2001. Samples should be coming your way in about 6 months I reckon.

I believe your thinking of bazooka joe bubble gum, but it is basically the same.

Yes sir, flat usually hard piece of gum.

Double bubble were larger barrel shaped also individually wrapped. Use to cost us 2 cents each, seems like I recall some stores had 3 for a nickel maybe. They also came out with apple and grape flavor.

They may still exist but I haven't looked in decades.
 
:high-five:....anyone remember those plastic 45 lookin pistols that shot navy beans...?...Load a bunch in the top and just keep pullin the trigger...lottsa fun..had a blast playin good guy/bad guy with those. Kids cant have fun doin that sort of stuff now..might get hurt..lmfao....ha...pfft!
