Outdoor Autos & Photoperiods Oregon

Afternoon, Our town is getting abit of smoke coming from some lightning fires from several days ago. They are in canyons so hard to fight on foot, there using helicopters with water buckets. Man what a shame, we had some of the most prestine forests in the state.
The clones from my outdoor WW x Pk are 7days old and no roots showing out the bottom yet but i see life from the top:woohoo: Then there's the 4 photos just growing Blueberry Cupcakes x3 and the one White widow x Purple kush she's small but a potent little gal. I grew here in my tent last grow she was kinda a problem but she sure likes outdoors. 3rd & 4th pic are slurricane little stubby fat colas and so dense it's scary. I check her out many times aday cause i don't want stem rot/bud rot. She's sticky and smelly. 4th pic is her sister about 10" taller but not as dense. They have been in flower 60days they are getting close. Very little new hairs and taking longer to dry out. Still getting 90f temps so it's gonna get hard to be outside long do to smoke and heat.
If anyone has been to Crater Lake National Park these fires are not that far from it. I'm 30mi from the nearest fire.

With my first outdoor autos heading to the finish line I'm wondering if the large fan leaves on yours fell off or if you trimmed them off please?

Hello 420 grow buds first off there is what's left of one of my slurricanes both are shortys they bloomed right away when i first set them outdoors so i rolled with it. Still feeding the larger one bloom 2xwk and giving molasses to the small one who had their top 2 colas snipped hung and now jarred and curing. I left lower portion to rippen longer still spits out those foxtail hairs as does the larger one. Must of really shocked them when they went out i thought i transitioned them enough like the other 4 photos they are getting wider and taller everyday.

We have smoke here around our state blows in and out. Largest wildfire in the nation to the east of me, just heard they lost a large tanker airplane going through the smoke to drop retardaint they are searching as i type this. It's a hell storm of a fire, mostly remote but they've evacuated those farms and homesteads just in case. Awful helpless feeling when these take place. I went through several in the 30yrs i lived up in a wooded area. Anyway i pray for all the wildland fire fighters who risk their lives in hell storms. These fires are not arson but lightning, unlike A-hole in Calif.

Update on my outdoor grow of Blueberry Muffins they are in the flower stretch. My 3 clones i took off the Purple kush x White widow are now getting adjusted to the tent light along with a Runtz x grape auto i'm doing for a 1gal. competion on another site. Last pic is the PK xWW short gal but very strong branching. Hopefully her 3 clones will do as well. Not having any bug issues or catipillars but i spray with capt. jacks BT. Hope your summer outdoor grows are doing well. I'm liking my 6ft under plants easy for me to handle. They've been stripped bottom up, pulled out and tied branches. Giving 0-10-10 2xwk and top dressing with worm castings. :thanks::snowboating: Hi from Poppy & Sonny

Update on my outdoor photoperiods and my indoor clones i took from WW x PK cross which is outdoors along with the Blueberry Muffins. About 3+wks into flower. Began LST on the clones Saturday and they seem to be doing well. Gave them there first full drink of water by watering the whole pot just a tad bit of runoff.
Temps are wonderful outdoors upper 80s. I've been busy freezing green beans and tomatoes. I don't can any longer occational jam otherwise i'm done with sweating out in the kitchen.

Hello from hot an dry Oregon. I'm 3+wks in flower on outdoor plants. Hopefully i can maintain the health of these plants it's baking outside here and no rain in sight. I've continued using worm casting on top and soaking them with fish and guano teas. Also giving bloom nutes. I have to drag them in an out of the sun these 15 and 10gal pots are not recommended for the type of loooong hot summers. It was much different when i lived higher up in the mountains, i had partial shade. All i can do is drag them under a large maple tree to cool the pots i water the outsides. I'm gonna have to get fabric pots next summer and i'll only grow 2 photoperiods. Probley looking at 15gal. I don't need big trees as i also grow indoors. I just love growing and seeing, smelling these plants. I've got memories of them big trees we used to grow when my partner was alive and he never learned about indoor growing just outdoor.

Anyway sorry for all the wordy post, not to many of my grow friends around anymore or they just can't deal with it anymore. Also here's some pics of my clones off of White Widow x Purple Kush cross. They are 50+days old and taking the training real good. I'll probley flip them at about 65days. Enjoy and good health to all:green_heart::tommy:

I hear you about dragging plants around the yard only I'm usually seeking sun since I have lots of mature trees. This year I cut back to 2-30 gallon pots and I started them in mid June to keep them a nice moderate size. The big pots of soil hold the water well and don't need a lot of nutes to go the distance.
Your bud shots look about the same as my Colorado girls. Happy growing!

Have you ever tried growing autos directly in the ground before? If so how did that go?

I got to try everything I wanted to this year indoor/outdoor except autos in the ground.
