Dude that as always packed next to coffee on camping, mining, fishing, frogging, hunting,, yes alot of drunk redneck in them woods opening day.. Probably plays a big part of the reason why so many self infected gunshots wounds.I prefer southern comfort in mine
But that was a big staple when we was gold dredging. After 5-6 hours in a cold river,, even with hot water suit,, your cold.. To the bone, either hot broth and something to warm the coffee. And I was sure partial to the Southern Comfort.
But ya'll lost me at that coffee okies? That ain't hard to do tho..
Well, Miss J, has me throwing the last 2 gallons of coconut oil out to get warmed. Wow,, that was alot of work. I chucked em on a heater vent for the night. Miss J does make,, from what I hear,, great budder. I can't call it,,, because 85% of the time I can't feel much of anything cannabis wise.. Well we all know that.. BUT has been afew times.. Was the stars and moon aligned or something? And I get Fucked up. I mean bonified. I might think strain? But then we make rather large batches,, and the cookie jar is full of the same.. And I can't repeat it.
Least as far as smoking,, if the weed's any good,, I can catch a buzz.. Not alot but something. I've heard alot over the years, even @SweetSue has lectured to me,, narcotics tent to bond to the same receptors as needed to ingest the THC. Dulling the effects. SO that makes me a really good judge huh? But I do have to say that buzz I get when I lay down and do smoke that dubie it does help. I'll get two smokings outta one. And I use them single zig-zag type papers.. BTW pure hemp brand is a good substitute for zig-zags..
Well, ya'll my music qued is done,, for the moment,, and my glass run'd empty. Plants are cared for..... and I got 4 1/2 hours before I got buttheads shit..
Maybe I'll still be moving around times lights go off.. And I'll snatch afew pics. The Cripit really looks evil under good lights..
But I'm to old and decrepit to drag her out... JK kind of.. Least to stoned and lazy? But she is getting pretty... and cuts look good.. I sure don't want to lose her.. But IF I do,, and revegging don't work... I'll buy seeds.......
I'm tired of second-guessing myself about hemp mites... Seeds,, Least that way isn't a guess... And then I'll have afew extra seed @Pennywise.. I don't wanna curse myself... The pheno I got is the same I had before... Really tho,,, if I make my way back for that strain again,, I'll be getting seeds... I really don't see alot of differences between the plant. Maybe they got a good solid stable strain.. Sure makes it nice...
But, EVERYTHING I grow next year will be fresh,,, from the genetics that from seeds only, or my own cuts, to the soil, to bleaching the flower pots, and treat the whole damn yard... Not that I have the biggest yard makes that easy..

Maybe I lied????????? Woodn't be the first time..... Trust me said the spider to the fly.. But that Cripit,,, well she was in need of water... So I decided to play a pyramid maker and drug the bitch out into some better light for a pic or two or 6... She is a pretty one. @Pennywise you could do much worst... Yield is over the top.. These buds get rock hard.. Some of the hardest buds I've ever grown. Each main top's buds will give me over a 1/3 oz rock ontop. And solid all the way to the main stem. Quailty is good... My scale outta 10,, she goes a 7 3/4 maybe 8 on a good day... Remember I've never seen a 10. Never even seen a 9.25 yet........ So 8 is good. But when you get the yield,,, she equals 8.5.
But anyways,, I don't want to babble... so I'll get to a pic or two;;;

Howdy sir and a question for you if you would know. You can PM back if you need to. I only dabble in grows starting at the end of the year and into spring. You used to post and follow a fellow on here, Relaxed Lester. He also started doing product reviews for 420, under his full name.
I have not seen anything from him and I would always make it a point to say hello for the New Years. We shared some info on the state I am in and where he was from. Before going west to his Cali location.
Just wondering if all is well in his world and he is just heading up a new mountain for a better look and soil. When I joined here in 2012. He and a guy who was known by Matanuska Valley aka: MV, were the first 2 that I started following. Just looking to pass along a hello if he is still up and running. If you hear from him let him know Goofy was ask`in about him

cool and thanks. I didn`t see anything recent post from him and he was doing staff work. I started a couple of ladies and was looking to say hello to him. He was a wealth of information and kept it simple and neat. Always a pleasure to see his grows. Thanks..!!
It was January last year when I heard last from him, he was wrapping up his Med Journal :
Just wanted to thank 420 Magazine and all its wonderful members for a great 2018.
I am going to end this journal (since its now 2019) and plan to start a new one up for the Spring.

Gold dredging you say. I spent last summer dredging a tributary to the feather river. Me and a friend humped a 6” keene dredge and a 2” Keene dredge deep into the backwoods of piumas. Gave me gold fever. We did a grow down there too. It was crazy. All of our gear is still down in that canyon lol.
The bud came out on another level. They weren’t huge cause it was deep in a canyon and a little colder but the terpenes quite made up for yield. Best smelling outdoor I have ever done. We did Pinot and tangie banana with a few afghans all were potent and very pungent.

well that gear was there.. JK I hope alot of people will steal anything up in them hills. We had a 6" triple sluice on the Bear River set up in the water aways off highway 80 by Dutch Flat. We have 160 acres claim there we had been working for 3-4 years. We averaged a oz a day there with the 8". Back in the 80's tho,, gold was 400 an oz. And of course, I was doing alittle farming on the side........
But We heard this truck coming up the cobble covered 'road?' Ain't no such thing as sneaking up a river in a truck. All the cobbles clanking loud as shit kind of like a tank sneaking up... We were all alittle hungover so we were getting a late start... Like 2pm. But this truck stopped and acouple guys got out and looked around but couldn't see our camp, it was up the hill abit.. A third guy got out of the truck and yelled something. Afew minutes later, they started to back the truck up to the dredge..
That wasn't going to fly. Was 4 of us in camp. AND we had brang a small armory with us like always.. Couple Fully Auto AK's even a mini uzi. Everyone had sidearms and long guns. But KC started to walk down the hill to talk,, and two other friends when on flanking runs up and down the river with the AK's.. KC had the uzi on his back under his Vietnam fatigues. Could'nt see it at all,, and I leveled my scoped and dialed in 30-06 on the truck from the top of the hill..
I saw KC was having hard words down there. And kind of looked like they thought about kicking his ass and taking shit... So I sighted in on one of the KC Daylighters on top of the truck and blew it up. Bout then Johnny and Mannie made it down to the river in front and back of the truck. Scared the fuck outta these people. They backed down and say it must have been a mistake,, they thought we was someone else BS. As they back-peddled to the truck and got the hell outta dodge.
They wanted to know if KC was alone down there,, my guess to rob him. We we posted gaurd duty the next few night..
What was funny,, is only one local bad around there,, at Gold Run. Well, about a week later we wanted a drink and a game of pool or two... Hiked over to the bar,, it was just over a hill from the claim. We got there and low and behold,,, that truck,, missing a day lighter,, and has a nice bullet hole in the cab's roof was in the parking lot. Most people check their guns at the door at this bar. Only a fool leaves it in the truck at this bar,, it won't be there when you leave.. So the bar allows it's patrons to check em in.
I told KC to stay back outta sight for a minute,, the dude only seen KC. So I walked up to him and started talking about gold ofcourse.. I asked him bout the Bear River and was that a good place to prospect. He said yea just don't go by this certain area,, was crazy fool up there that just shoot at people for the hell of it. Then he told me his truck just got shot.. Imagine that.. Asked hem to show me... Well what was interesting what he' got shown in the parking lot.. A good check-up from the neck up and warned never come past or claim again..
They had no idea how many people were down there most of the time,,, was 6--8 on and off.

I hear laws make it hard down there nowadays to even prospect with a little 4". Everything is wild and scenic now. No motorized equipment or vehicles.
I use to part-time work in Jamestown teaching people to pan and dredge. Then started working on Ralph's production dredges part-time. He was a used car salesman who becomes a 'gold miner' when the gas crunch in 77--78 killed the car business so he started this place up. Never knowing how to even work a pan.

Such a good story bro. I really enjoy it. We dredged for a few months and made a really good hole about 10 feet deep never hit bed rock though. We had some serious boulders in the way. We had rocknets cable chokes pulleys and a Sierra blaster kit. Just me and my buddy. I want to go back. We hit a few pockets and only managed close to 4 oz but there’s more there. It’s an untouched creek and the gold is chunky and some of it was black. Meaning the spot was close to the source.

I know I've traveled all over Cali,, anywhere gold was mined over the years.. Best place I ever found for chunky gold was Shirttail Caynon. Off the North Fork American. Hell even on the River I've found good gold in that area dredging just below where they meet.. You need a big dredge there.. Deep overburden and huge boulders at the bottom.
Hard to find a place to mine unless you go to where it meets the river.. They got a campground there. Easy access to the American to and still alot of gold in the water. Beautiful area to snipe. A face mask, crease tool, and a turkey baster. Oh tweezers to pick up the pickers outta the cracks. TONS of exposed bedrock to snipe. I enjoy sniping the best. It's not like work to float around and open small cracks you can work in 10 minutes. Always some gold at the very bottom. I sniped cracks that got down to the width of a hair.. Only to take a bedrock hammer and open it up and find it opens into a pocket as big as your fist holding afew OZs. I was also a partner in a hardrock mine up on Emigrants Gap. Lady Liberty mine, over 3 shafts, 6 miles of tunnel. We had 16 claims there. My homeboy Johnny was able to get c-4 to play with at that mine. Never found much mineable amounts of gold,, but sure had fun looking.. The tailings dumps were loaded with huge crystals and good ore they missed. We'd find with metal detectors.....
I miss it for sure.. We even went in the 16 to 1 mine with metal detectors and found some nice crystalized gold on snow-white quartz specimens. 16 to 1 gold is the prettiest gold in the world.. You should take a peek at some of that shit ain't nothing prettier;;;;

I miss it for sure.. We even went in the 16 to 1 mine with metal detectors and found some nice crystalized gold on snow-white quartz specimens. 16 to 1 gold is the prettiest gold in the world.. You should take a peek at some of that shit ain't nothing prettier;;;;

Man I wish I had more time these days. I have done a little sniping and loved it. But dredging is pretty cool too. Hard work though. Sniping much easier and you can cover more ground sniping. Cool knowing you were a prospector norcaliwood.
