Our Ongoing Grows

Well knocked the dust off this old thing.. See where ya'lls dirty mind went? But she was gathering dust in the closest. I do like this unit,, it has a built-in fan that helps with 2 or 3 degrees,,,, and sometimes that helps. Great cloner. BTW Tead,, they make units that flip 144 at a time. You may be needing some?? It comes with a clear dome, but I've never used it, yet. Pot sure don't need it....
I also soaked the hosts plants. Best to water with plain old water 45-60 minutes or so before taking cuts. I'm going to try some EZ-Klone gel this time. Getting hard to find what I always used,, Vitagrow. I guess I'm going to have to go see the guy who bottles this shit. And see if he still has some,, bootlegged shit. I still have some,, but it's getting low and I swear that shit will root a popsicle stick.

I've got that same unit - a TurboKlone TK-24. I got mine without the humidity dome, though! ;)
It does do a great job as long as you can keep temps low. In high temps, I have more success with a Rapid Rooter cube.

NP MI... Just let me know,,,, but really I can look past quality of pics. Man, I've put out some crap with what I had 15 years back, but I just had nothing to do but waste afew bucks on a decent camera and tripod. Low impact exercising. Not as strenuous as lifting a 12 OZ beer. Something good in a camera never hurts to get a pic tho. Took me years to get it close.... But sounds like you done learnt alot as stands.........

True Mister K. Summer even tho sounds cool in my flower room,,, ambient temps plus what the lights radiant adds to that hot black ass plastic... Still kicking myself for not spending the extra pennies on a white one. They shave another degree or two..

I don't have one. I'm the shittyest photographer on the planet. Lol. Maybe after I get a better camera I'll start one. I'm still learning from the experienced peeps like yourself

Hey Brother, you don't even need to post pictures to start a journal - it does help some of us who have problems reading, though! :rofl:

Yeah, just do what you can to keep temps down and maybe even add a little H2O2 to the res. One of the downsides of the cloner vs. a grow cube of any type is that, if the res gets contaminated, it's going to effect all the clones. That being said, I don't mean to be negative, in any way, it's still a kick-ass cloner and in good conditions, not only has a high success rate, but, in my experience, I saw roots something like two days earlier with the TK. :goodluck:

Well, MIster Krip,,,, going to be whatever it is. I've had to baby more than one cloning session. But so true,,, cloning in summer sucks.... But I have to keep on with the journal., I took 8 BB cuts, 8 Red Desiels, and & Purple Urkles... And the last slot is going with a puppy from the flower room. From the center of the grow,, so I don't take from the weight of the harvest. Here's what's going on,, temps are cool tonight;;

I give up.................. I been postponing the inevitable,, tonight I ordered a glass blasting tube.......... All my years,,, I been alittle gunshy for anything stronger than honey oil smeared on a paper,,, or smoked in a meth type pipe. Believe it or not,,, them bubble glass pipes been around for a LONG ASS TIME. Use to get golden honey oil in these little 1 mill glass bottles with a cork stopper. Take the same pipe they smoke meth with,,,, same hole and dip a needle in the honey oil,,, slightly heat the needle and the oil wood drip off the tip,,, straight into the glass bubble which one wood cook it like any type material. But I've done every drug there is,,, every way there is. Some are soo good damn tooooo good,, and you don't feel the rest,,, like opiates.... So I been keeping concentrates at a distance.... But tonight,, I burnt a dubie of that Wild Berry,, and almost got high'. I mean I coped a buzz and all,,, just been awhile since I got stoned...... I got afew cases of top end butane,, and the only time I tried it,, which I understand is a no-no, with PVC. I hear that ain't good.. But I KNOW I've done ALOT worse things in the past. Came out good.. And now I have 2 or 3 of these pens,,, sitting doing nothing. Guess it's time to put them to work?

Damn ain't I the stupid one... I was giving my little feedback of my shopping place and see what I actually ordered was just screens for a glass tube. DUH. Oh well,, wondered why it was so cheap.........
Well got another wash done tonight with the green cleaner. I soaked her down with just shy of a 1/2 a gallon damn near full strength. I'm going to leave it dry in for an hour or so and give a heavy ass rinse. If that don't do it,,, I'm hanging my hat on her. I did fill the last spot in the cloner with one,, even if flowering.....
Hope all's gardens are green,,,

And did the wire for the new camera thing together and ready to mount, Miss J 'kind of' got it working. Now just acouple simple screws and plugin and should be ready to figure out how to set it all up. I didn't hard-wire it in. Where I'm going to place it is within acouple feet of a power source,, so I just pigtailed acouple feet of an exterior cord I had laying around out of the junction box, and will screw it to the facia outback for now. I plan on after harvest, repositioning it out front over the driveway. And then if all works well,,, another,,, to put up out back again.

Well did alittle reckless eyeballing the plants. Looking at the differences between the plants inside. First we have to understand,,, these plants are smaller... Something one wood do in a tent. Most averaged about 16" when I started flowering. Maybe 20" about now,, and buds are stacking up nicely. 'Might' get 1 or 2 more inches overhead growth. Now really that is kind of stupid if one is trying to produce the most for his buck. I have my lighs down 3+ feet from the ceiling. Alot of wasted space for the 'cash cropper' But I see a slight difference between the node spacing. Now I have a 1000 watt light on the turbo, 1100 watts, and the 1600 Mars both hanging about 2 foot above the plants. Both are pretty close,,, but I see the HID is stacking alittle tighter than the LED. I'm happy to see the lights both seem to penitrate well.. But being said,, these plants are short,, which is a waste of the sweet spot the HID seems tp present better. I'll have to finish this one up and then try with taller plants. I should be able to run 36-40" plants to maximize production. Doesn't make sense for a cash cropper to not fill in all the space he could.. But then,, I'm not cash cropping anymore.... But to really see if LED can produce comprable to HID, I'd have to take in the sweet spot. LED won't be worth a shit if it only has 2' of sweet spot and a HID has 4'. Thats another variable to add to the mix......

Clones are acouple days old. I added a big glass of icecubes to it to top it off.. But they look great. No wilt what so ever,, yet..... 8 BB, 8 R desiels, 7 Purple Urkles, and 1 Puppy.............. Times like this,, I wish I'd have gotten the next size up. Miller's going to need afew he said.. He's doing well with what he's got. Doing the black out thing in his greenhouse. 7 to 7 lights. To much work for me. Guess I could get a windsheild washer motor and rig a power unit? Naw.. way to much work.........

It's way early to even say anything. If any difference,,,, 5% max.... And it might just be the color of the plants. And these eyes are old and tired.... Blind in one eye,,, and can't see out the other... They sure look a darker green under the LED lights? And I just repeeked,, if any difference..... I can tell,, but they all look extremely happy. All doing as should.

You know if a person had acouple 3X6' flood tables in the spare room with say 2 of these LEDs over each one, I can see it could make a sweet setup for short stocky ass plants. If you don't mind sinking afew bucks in them. I can feel a sizable chunk of radiant heat reduction. That is just with the 2 hoods plain jane. I have no doubt tho,, IF I did use the air cooling option with these hoods,,, I'd lose at least 50% of that. Last time I ran the air cooling aspect,, I was running the 2, 1500 watters in there in the summer. I didn't have any issues with temps that I recall. But then I wood still lose acouple degrees running both as LEDs.

It's kind of funny,,, about 10-12 years back,, LEDs were really starting to hit the market hard. And they was costy as hell. But I was tweaking on the net,, not literally but, I hooked up with this Dude, I still get mail from him, and he was brokering the same lights that Stateside cost 15xs the price. This was 10 years back and even my peckerwood ass knows LED lights have come along ways. But back then I almost bought a pallet or two to try my hand at marketing them. Could've been a hella thing,,, or could have gotten from what hype told me,, buy from home. Now almost all come from overseas. And after 12 years,, I'm trying one..........

The main reason I’m running QB’s Is the heat reduction. I still have my original hps. Once I get moved I’ll probably have to fire it up. I have a 10,000btu portable AC I’ll use in the grow space.

I'm still talking out my neck about LEDs. But you've done well with them. It's working. And I know if that was a necessity, I could've gone that route. I'm just a 'Old Dog' and haven't had to switich up, yet. But lately,, I've found sometimes larger ain't always better. I'm not trying to market any right now,, cept afew that I been carrying for years. 10-12 nice 4 Oz plants,, should, last 2 months? I smoke 1-2 grams a night? Damn Miss J.. JK of course.......

You know I bought one of them portable A/C united with the duct and all that during a heat wave that hit abit back. Temps went down the next day and I never hooked it up. I tried stuffing the exhaust hose down thru the floor vent and it did acouple degrees. Now she's getting dusty. I still got the same panda plastic over the window I put up 12 years back. I bet we got spiders big enough to eat a man in there... Naw. still looks the same. But temps been pretty good seeing whats outdoors. I might' have hit 87 on the hottest one. And then I dialed down the HID a notch. But I do know they work well. I'm hoping I won't need it. I'm trying to hold out for the new box and another 220 line for a split air.. Might be awhile,,, hell,, been awhile?

That's more babbling than I done for years... Keepem Green

Yeah living in a hot place is what made me invest in the LEDS rather, still need to run the AC in summer but can only imagine the power bill if I had to cool HPS all summer long

GL Penny. Knock on Wood. If it's meant to be,, it will. But I'm rutting for ya.

I got acouple fast pics to put up. They are all labeled. My new setup for out back. Complete with all the lights, bells and sirens. And smile for the camera. I can even yell at the fool;

Ok here's the Black Dog after her last treatment. She's been thoroughly molested and show alittle.. Not to bad for 3 sprays with Green Cleaner,, and one neem thrown in the middle. The damaged leaves that have that curl won't come back. Miss J will find them and snatch em.
Here's acouple autos I have jumping off;

Then back to some of the Fast Ones I have out there;

and here's the Green Poison Fast. I have two,, well one for my neighbor kid, but both are flowering;
Thats all folks

Wow. Getting those cameras set up, eh? Spotlights and everything. Does it run to a screen so you can see whats going on?

Cool either way.

I believe those Ring units you can actually monitor on your cell phone with an app! :thumb:
