I got mine when they first came out and give $349 for the 260w QB kit. 2 boards 1 driver.

Is that the equivalent to 1k HPS?
No but it would give a 600w HPS a run for its money in intensity but would give the coverage. Honestly I was running 3 in a 4x4 tent. Here's what they produced.

I think I'm getting around a 5x5 area of coverage with each XXL hood and good yeild. Mine are dimmable digital ballasts. I'm going run them at least in winter's. Can't justify the cost to cover the 10x10 area buying new lights when my old ones do the job

You can buy the boards and drivers and set them up cheaper than buying kits.

Thats alot of duckets on them lights Penny. I think if I was going to put that much out on lighting,, I'd go the coolest way. Them water cooled lights with a 1/4 hp chiller in a bucket. You can touch and run your 1000 watt hid bulbs in a ,4X4, Well damn near touch, because there's a 3'' standoff from glass to bulb filled with cool water. I seen them work before and they work great. Almost 0 heat from a 1000 watt...

That's pretty cool...would keep my 300-gallon fish tank in the GH warm all winter...any idea on the output temp of the water? Was that the company name on the banner behind it....Best Coast Growers? ("Best coast"...sounds like they must be in Maine!)

Fresca del sol or something like that. Just enter water cooled HID Lighting. Cost is lower than what you paid for all them lights PW. The chiller works for all your water needs. Nutrients for hydroponics, even for your cloner on hot days, and even a chiller for aquaponics, hence the fish tank. Alot of growers that are way deep into organics do the aquaponic grows. Fish for food, and weed to smoke...You can put valves and hoses to customize the flow. I was looking into them before I bought these XXL hoods.
I'll look into them after work today.
