Original Jack Herer, Blueberry, Tangerine Dream

Beautiful plants.. they have a nice structure.. How long have these been in flower?

Just tried to focus by moving in and out. I wobble to much
I will get there eventually..
Easier to click whilst wobbling than trying to stay completely still
Probably into about 6/7 weeks in flower
This is still in LiteMix/BioBizz and sucking up a litre or more a day
It is also two seeds in one 5L pot, only keeping the three main colas per plant, but don't tell anyone

Nothing wrong with that.. it's amazing how no two grows are the same
.
Anyway, Gona have to go.. I'm too high, not good. Can't even type properly..
Be back later when I come down...

Strawberry Gum is an amazing grow
It grows like an Indica but flowers like a Sativa (and takes as long lol)
Very robust and has a subtle sweet fruity/skunky smell
Don't want to open the flushing can of worms, but this time I'm going to try Flawless Finish because something went wrong with the last cure and it's good, but could be better I think - completely forgot about sweating it
I've used Final Phase before and thought it was a noticeably smooth smoke but it was JH so who knows!
You're all gonna tell me I've wasted my money on snake oil, right? Anyone tried this stuff?

Oooh!!! Shields up mate. You are going to get washed away by the anti-flush brigade

I know, bring it on...
I know you can't flush nutes out of plant tissue, but you can make the remaining sap free of shit, right?

Im just going to read up on that particular brand. Be back in ten mins.

But personally, I can't see how flushing can benifit the end product. It can benifit the plant, by getting rid of the toxins and build ups in the soil, allowing the plant to feed more freely; but cleaning the buds of unwanted minerals is not something I can envisage happening..
be back in a mo though.. I could be entirely wrong, as I have not read up about it.

Oh! If your into buying snake oil. I'm have 2 litres of dihydrogen monoxide for sale. Only £20 a litre. It's nasty stuff though. It makes metal go rusty:laugh:

Be back soon mate. I want to see what the product actually is before I cast judgement.

I'll swap a litre for a teaspoon of The Dust Of The Grand Wazoo if you like
I'm not aiming to clean the buds per se, they have already converted the minerals into carbs/food
Logic is, when I dry/cure, I'd rather have water in there than BioBloom

I'm back..
Heres a quote from their site

When you use Flawless Finish, your plants reap multiple game-changing benefits.

A fantastic chelator binds to heavy metals and removes them from your plants

I can understand that it will bind to the heavy metals in the soil and allow the "flush" to get rid of them in the run off.
But how can it get rid of the metals in the plant itself? If it did bind to the elements in the plant, then where do they go to now?
It can't excrete them out of the plant by the roots, so the only other way is by transpiration. But how can heavy metals evaporate out of the leaves without perfect conditions.. I'm not the brightest star in the sky when it come to sciencey stuff. I'm more of a "hit it with a hammer until it works" kind a guy:laugh:

So;
My conclusion is as follows:
It's fookin snake oil mate.

Then would a plain water feed for the last two weeks not achieve that?
As that flush fluid actually contains metals and minerals, so your putting more additives into the plant with it..

Are we talking about removing the crap from the medium? excuse me. My brains melted..
If we are, then yes, I would say it's viable and will help. But, they advertise their product as a solution to remove the crap from the plant.. how does it get it out of the plant? That's what I can't wrap my head around:hmmmm:

Chelates bind the heavy metals the plant has used and wash out, just like they washed in

My brain hurts! How do things wash out of a plant? They got absorbed in through the roots, that process doesn't work in reverse; or does it?

They dilute until untraceable - and yes chelates work (Greek - claw)

So then!!! The debate continues! (If you want it to that is)
Hi mate..
If it doesnt remove stuff from the actual buds, what's the point?. Unless your eating the roots and the stems  and does it not take away the nutrients the plant actually needs to finish? Im still struggling to figure it out..:hmmmm:

You forgot the flash on your nug pic

Doh!!!!! I had been fiddling about with it. How can you tell?
Because the flash adds contrast, highlights and sharpens the image - all missing my friend
Anyway, back to the foray...
When we dry bud, we only evaporate pure water which is not what the plant tissue contains, therefore there must be residue. In fact, I can buy stuff to make it taste of grapefruit, because of residual content - that's proof
So a chelate, which takes out elements in the same way that it got them in there can only reduce residue and therefore by my logic, the end product contains fewer additives/chems
It basically makes them water soluble again and therefore mobile - bye-bye nutes, don't need you any more

So then.. similar to a semi clogged waste pipe on the sink. The drain cleaner loosens the blockage and let's the water flush it away, clearing the pipes!
Not a very good an anology. It was either that a blocked arteries
