I've never used Happy Frog.
whats good S1970!!!
what do you mean a little wet?? they dry out for 6 days and they still have moisture in the soil!!! im not to fond of this FFHF!!! it doesn't dry out for shit!!! it holds the moisture forever!!! every week when I do the feedings IS the waterings!!! Its pissing me off!!! and now before I go to flower, I have to flush!!! now how the hell am I going to give them their first week of flowering nutes if I do a flush!?!?!?
I've never used Happy Frog. I just switched over to my own mix using Promix Potting & Container as the base. I started with FFOF then different combinations of OF and LW. The problem I've always had in the Air-Pots I use is they dry out so fast.
I know its a combination of the containers allowing more air to dry the soil, and the crazy root system and large plants being thirsty. But hey, mmj likes to dry out a bit between waterings so I've been dealing, it just sucks to have to water every other day. I'm considering a drip system of I could leave my garden for a few days if I had to.
I switched to the Promix base to see if it would hold a little more moisture. I guess the grass is always greener! Don't worry, I'm sure you won't be going that long between waterings when they get a bit bigger!
Looking nice brother curious on the yellowish myself
You could give them a single feed of Miracle Grow (the blue stuff) to help darken that lime green in the new growth. I get that problem often with recently transplanted clones. The MG usually does the trick in about 3-5 days after that single feeding.
I notice a purple tint on all the stems, that means something, not sure what, but you, need , to, check, it, out,.
Where the hell is my grow bible?
purple stems like that are caused by P or K def most of the time
I'm curious as to why you would see any deficiencies at this early of stage?
I haven't been keeping up here, but yeah as Goose said if you just transplanted you can see funny things during the rebound period. In that case you usually supplement with B12 or you can use flowering nute during the transplant to strengthen the roots and reduce shock during the transplant. Also can use some of the Super Thrive growth hormone.. That seems to work for me. But I use these methods and don't seem to have any transplant deficiencies.
I'm sure they will turn around.. I bless all your plants
they will come around....they are building strong root systems at this stage right now. Don't make the mistake of over feeding them at this stage because that could stunt their growth. Be very patient. This is a really critical stage for your plants as they must have a well developed root system in order to flourish. They will snap out of it for sure if you take really good care of them and do not over feed or over water. They do look a little stressed for sure though. I would not give them any chemical fertilizers if it were me. I have made the mistake of over feeding on a number of occasions when I first got into growing years ago. I also always add a ton of perlite to my potting mix regardless of what brand it is. MJ roots need lots of oxygen to flourish.
Yeah, my (2) clones that are now a little over a foot tall were planted in 10 gallon containers.. I used a organic soil mix and added about 20 percent perilite.
It never goes dry either. The 2 inch finger test reveals a substantial moisture level after a week. So I have been watering those about every 7 days or so too.
I started with 1/4 dose of which amounted to 5-5-5 and then to 10-10-10. Now they started flowering and am now feeding a 10-30-20 1/2 dose so far, next dose will be full and will then start with my molasses every other feeding.
Plants are green as can be and are smiling (Knock on wood). But I do like the fact that I don't have to water as much..
ok and how much???
about a teaspoon per gallon
