Orangeblood's Grow Room-Yumbolt 47, White Widow, Air Pots, LED+HPS, SOG, & R2D2

You may be onto something there Boot!
The storm before the massive growth spurt did carry huge bolts of lightning for about 8 hours. Since then it's been steady rain. Nothing hard, no wind, just lots of rain.

It was pointed out to me by a farmer some time ago. If I've got something growing I hope for electrical storms. It works on everything. Green beans to,.. well you know! Happy growing with the glowing!

I made this pipe from the trunk of the big WW plant that was in my air pot test grow. It's about 3.5 inches long and works great. Definate keeper ;)

Thats pretty cool Orange. Did you have to let the stem dry out awhile before you could drill it?

Yeah Man, took about two weeks for it to dry out. Drilling the bowl was like drilling thru a ball of string. Had to go get a nice new sharp bit to do the job. That second pic is just about actual size.

Check out the new sexy! This piece was done by a local artist and the ashtray is a vintage Richard Nixon. I'll be hitting the glass shops in LV so hopefully i'll be coming back with something wicked.

Outdoor & organic WW & Yumbolt 47. The Yumbolts continue to stretch under the same conditions as WW which has nice and tight nodes. I've managed to keep some indoor Yumbolts nice and squatty so hopefully this charactoristic of the strain can be managed with a very short veg time. Indoor pics will come tonite.

The hurricane last week flushed these ladies real good. Now they are being fed large amounts of N + a general balance of nutes to try and stop the yellowing of the bottom leaves

Mr.OrangeBlood..

I am digg'n the Glass Collection Brother,, but I must say,, the Homemade Stem Pipe is BEASTY !! .. I had one of those from an Outdoor Soil Grow looong ago,, but unfortunately I burnt the damn thing up over time.. A buddy afterwards told me I should have coated the outside with Laquer,, or kept it in the Freezer,, and it would have lasted longer.. Guess we Live and Learn.. Or thats the HOPE at least.. lol.. ..

:)

Very nice collection you have there Bandit. I'll be right over to test them out! :)

Thanks fellas!
The WW pipe is very special to me. I think the best way for me to keep it around is to simply not use it very often. Maybe for only the very top piece of main colas or something like that. I need to find a way to petrify it.
The outdoor WW has an even bigger trunk so I'll either make another pipe or maybe a bowl for my bong.
I have some extra pieces of large stem that I saved to try to refine a good method of working with them as far as sandpaper grades and better drill bits for making bowls.
i was also thinking that I could eventually make a two piece pipe with a bowl that is threaded and screws into the stem like a corncob pipe. :blunt:

Don't ever coat the inside of your wood pipe with lacquer. The heat will soften it and you do not want to inhale those fumes. ;)

Most definitely, find a stem at least 3/8" of an inch bigger than the threads on the bowl, and use the appropriate size tap on the stem.

Are you getting much electrical activity with the storm? The release of all that elctro magnetic energy has a positive effect on plant growth.

You may be onto something there Boot!

Had an electrical rain storm here last night, today all the outdoor plants (non-MJ) grew almost an inch!

Mr.OrangeBlood..

Here's a Picture of the Pipe I mentioned.. I have used it in the past,, and shouldnt have.. :( .. I picked it up on an Indian Reservation on a Journey to the *Grand Canyon* many Years ago,, and thought it was a pretty kewl Piece.. ..

Mr.Green007..

That would be AWESOME advice,, NEVER coat the INSIDE of ANY Pipe with ANYTHING (other than Marijuana Resin.. LoL).. And I apologize,, I thought that was implied or common knowledge.. Which is why I said to coat the OUTSIDE of the Pipe with Lacquer.. .. :)

LOL! I just got off your thread wondering what you think so far. With the movers I run mine only an inch or two off the plants but without a mover I back it up to about 3-6 inches. The lights dont pack the strong uv punch that can burn so you should be able to use them close up on the girls.
I like to use mine so they basically paint the plant with their spectrum. I'm only looking for light to get to the surface of the colas and leaves to increase the trich production. I leave plant structure and development up to the hps.
They are super bright though right?! I cant look at mine for more than a secod or two before it hurts my eyes and head and makes me see spots!:Hookah:

I found ya,yea they are super bright.i'll start out at 6 inches,do you think i should supplement with cfl's(285w) on the top or side with the led on the opposite top or side make sense, hell i need another bowl.:tokin:
