OMM's Social Network Part 3

Your plants are really looking good. The GLR is the only way that I grew and it seemed to work great and then in flower i went to the diminishing light schedule and that works good also for me. When you get to 15 off they are ready. Are you still just using OC+?

I know I love GLR for the reduced electric bill prolly more than for the plants....I really can't tell if it made anything grow faster or what not...

Hi My Queen !

I like the reduced bill too. Actually it would be hard for you to tell the growth rate without something to compare too.
I think the growth rate is actually higher using GLR.

Queen. You must be a great cook because after reading your post there and OMM's too I just have to get me some ribs!!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!

I don't know about a great cook, there are some things I can't cook. I just enjoy cooking and love eating. I don't eat out or order take out too much at all.

Oh I was just wondering because its been mentioned like it would be something obvious to see. My vision isn't what it use to be.

Hey OMM the plants are looking good. If you did some defoliation on them you may slow down some upward growth and encourage the branch growth a little.....now, back to the ribs discussion.:cheertwo:

Like the show Highlander, there can only be ONE!!! Just imagine if I had a twin!!! Some can barely handle just me!!! Wow a whole slab, that's a lot of ribs. I can see you and Jo now, faces smeared with bbq sauce, licking your fingers, hope you guys have a bib for all that sauce..lol..Ah, the wing dings were banging, just call me the "ghetto iron chef", I love to cook. The other day I made some great beef stew, got the recipe from Paula Deen, I love her as well as Mario Batali and Bobby Flay. Oh can't forget Rachel Ray!

"ghetto iron chef" ? Now that is cool! If I ever get up your way Queen Highlander I will be at your front door with my plate in hand.

The babies look fantastic OMM.
But they're not really babies anymore are they!
:welldone:
Think I'm going to switch my clones and seedlings back to GLR tonight.
Just wanted to give them a blast of 16/8 to help them root a bit better.
And root they have!

Thanks Vick074. Yep not really babies anymore. The way I germ-ed them this time, I knew they had good roots. I can't always say that, but this time yes and from now on too. That's why I love growing so much, we keep improving our methods.

If I grow again in the future, it will always start with GLR.

Hello My Friend G13 ! Thanks for the suggestion! It's a wonder Bassman59 hadn't pointed that out. Defoliation coming up. :yummy:

Hi there beemerbill. Thanks. Yep, love GLR too. The 3 indoor girls will be on the Diminishing Light Schedule too!. Thanks for reminding me. Yes, I am still using OC+. Wasn't going to, but my last grow was so good, I'm not changing a thing. The only thing that has really changed is much larger pots and the soil for this grow. :surf:

I'm sure I'll start my next grow using GLR in veg. DLR (DLS?) seems to working well for me now too.

Hi Buddy, I saw where you said you would like to make you're own soil. Really, really research the subject. It sounds easier than it actually is. Do a ton of digging around for info. I was just in the "How to grow section" and they didn't have a clue. I've tried a couple of times, with very mixed, mostly bad results. Sorry, I just don't want you to have a bad experience.:Namaste:

Ahh, Because that's a growers choice to use a specific method. I don't try to suggest an experienced grower should change methods when they are happy with what they do. I couldn't recall if you had been doing it before or was something you were into. So I kept my mouth shut. But ya baby, put them ladies on a stripper pole under LED's and make em dance to some good ole rock n roll!:cheertwo::bravo:

Well, actually I was doing allot of defoliation last time, by just reading what you do, so it's too late you have influenced me already. For the good, I say. I'm sure you remember some of my naked twigs from my last grow.
I also believe that's one of the reasons I had my best yield ever.

Got to find my stripper pole now.
:cheesygrinsmiley: You don't have it do you Queen ?

Na I'm a flake omm. I forget who did what. As I treat mom's Alzheimer's I'm sure I'll be a candidate too.

Hi OMM After some back-n-forth talks with that good 'ole guy Beemer I did the GLR & DLR and will always use it from now on! I did panic a little when I saw the flowers start in Veg. and put them into bloom room a bit earlier than I wanted. Smokz kind of pointed out that I could have let them get a little bigger before the flip. (I will next time) But the results were Great ! I grew the same strains before but this time they had Twice the Trichs with theGLR & DLR and bigger, thicker buds. Took a bit of advise from Bass too and did medium Defoling.
Lots of great People and advise in our little :420: Family

clayhead that's just great! You are proof of the good things you can pick up and use here on 420. Beemerbill knows what he's doing for sure. You used all the tools others have perfected and told us about. That's how we all just get better and better. yowsir. :thumb:

Hey OMM! I think you're referring to a post where I said I'm interested in staying as organic as possible. Honestly I wasn't even thinking about making my own soil, but I see how you could construe that from my comment. I was thinking more about all natural fertilizers and nutrients. That said, I do have a compost bin out back that turns out so nice stuff we've been using in the vegetable garden with good results.:scratchinghead: If I were to go with my own soil, I would only try it out with a clone as an experiment, something I wouldn't be upset about if it didn't work.

My last grow I used OC+ on your recommendation and I had a great one to me also. I had three plants and I got just over a 100 grams of cured bud per plant and with no worry of what the plant needs every day. So much fun
