That's all for now should be doing some topping soon. Have a great weekend!

Grow On Stay Medicated :rollit::yummy:
nice roots Smokey

Have you ever heard of an additive called Rapidstart? Its manufactured by Gen Hydro. and works really well at pushing out huge roots and speeds up the growth rate as a whole.

Botanicare recently came out with their our own version called Rhizoblast. I used it last season, but didn't see the benefit Rapidstart provides, but im gonna keep using it to make sure. House and Garden has a great product called Root Accelerator. It works very well, but it very expensive. If you DO decide to give the House and Garden product a try, be sure to buy the silver bottle, its designed for hydro. Ive used the gold bottle in water, but the silver is the goods.

This plant was raised on Rapidstart.

No I haven't tried it but I'm not going to try too much new all at the same time. I like to change things one at a time that way I can better judge the results. So for now I'm going to be adding silica when it shows up next week and be sticking to my plan from there I think. But in the future I may give it a try.

I have been using Armor Si Silica and it has made a difference with roots and limbs for sure. I can actually see the growth around limbs and stuff, it's amazing what just adding silica did to my plants!

build burnout is real. lol. eventually some projects get incorporated into household objects. hotrod sportster, old pic version 5.0. , '47 one ton dually Dodge "on hold for a while while i build the business..." 10 yrs later ;) :laugh:CAM00489.jpgCAM00309.jpg

Ah, I was waiting for "Corvette".
I think you should get something sportier. Something that will turn heads. You kick your life into overdrive with something like a 1953 Chevrolet custom panel! Your family would love a cruise down PCH in an old car with an obnoxious engine! Earthday be damned.
How obnoxious of an engine are you talking about?

I am a Harley guy to here is mine 2009 Fatboy.

My days of riding my Sportster are pretty much over. At 53 my back just can't take it anymore. Currently looking at a Road King but haven't decided if I will ride again with everything happening this year, who knows? nice bike by the way Smokey. Where in Canada are you located?

Hovering at around a 1000 at the rear wheels with 16psi of boost and 150 shot of wet nitrous...
I have friends with truly crazy cars, but they never drive them. I wanted a classic that I could drive everyday

I'm running silica too. Tried protekt, armor si, rhino skin, silica blast, and so on. I've settled down on Silica Gold from TPS. Seems to be stable enough for silica, doesn't hurt the wallet to much, and it works well. I run it at 1ml/gal.

I make water ahead of time for a water change. On Wednesday mornings, I take enough make up water out for the rest of the week, note how much water is left (if any), and turn on the RO. Couple hours later and the 55gal barrel is back to 50gal.

From there I take 50 and subtract the number of gallons remaining. Then I add 1ml/gal of silica, stir the crap out of it, and let it mix for an hour with a little recirc pump in the barrel. Then I come back an hour or so later and add 4ml/gal of Organic Calmag (from TPS, has ZERO nitrogen :cheesygrinsmiley:) and mix it in as well. (Drill paddle for a few minutes, then recirc pump.)

Recirc pump is on a timer, and runs every 8 hours for 30 minutes in addition to the time I run it manually.

Saturday morning I change my water.

Sounds weird, but I've been doing this for about 6 weeks and it has dramatically improved the stability of the final mix. I had been adjusting pH 4-5 times a week. Now it's once, sometimes not at all.

I didn't ride much this year and don't know how much I left in me. Carpal tunnel in both hands and wrists city riding is killer to much clutch and brake work highway is better. I am in Central Alberta.

I have heard several different ways of mixing it I haven't resl decided on how i will mix it. Going to try Cyco platinum series silica. I did like TPS products I have contacted them in the past and unfortunately they don't have any Canadian distributors they were willing to ship but that starts to get expensive.

There certainly are several ways.

I’ve also tried raising the ph to 10, let it sit a few, then back 6.5, then start the mix.

Didn’t work so hot.

Whichever, be sure it goes in first and gets beat with the drill paddle. ;)
