Oldsmokey Goes Hydro

Nice Road King! They have always been one of my favourites! It's a classy comfy ride just my syle.
I want another but mama wants to get a travel trailer and stay on vacation. Forgot how short lunch is on a job ,got to go back later.

Ideally would be a toy hauler best of both worlds. Then you need a good truck to pull everything.
We had a toy hauler. It had a sand car in it which was fun.... just a mid engine, mid travel VW, but it would do 100 in sand. The trailer was really clean, but i couldn't care less all i wanted to do was drive the car. It didnt last more than a few seasons. Wifey rolled it up on a covered rut on a dry lake bed

We JUST had a pretty good size Earthquake. About 15 seconds long where im at. Just a shaker, felt deep, not too close

Anyway. Wifey could have died. She was pretty well rattled. The passenger's shoulder was cover in dirt, she hit the ground, which is no good with a roll bar. She kicked the dash bar so hard it made a hole in her denin pants.... buuuut everyone made it with nothing more than bruises. Wifey went back to her 660 Raptor... crazy bitch.

The best thing to do was take the trailer to the beach put the backdoor down at the sand to make the best patio you could imagine. I liked that so much more than the desert.

That sounds like a lot of fun in the dessert if I was younger glad your wife is ok. The beach sounds more like my style .
Earthquake was a 4.8 outta Long Beach... just showed up
Damm that one thing I have not experienced is a earthquake. 4.8 that's not small is it?

Funny, the desert is my wifes thing. She and her mother still take her Moms trailer out there to ride quads. I would much rather kick it at the beach, smoke a turkey, and watch the Sunset.

The first time we took the trailer out to the water, we went to Dockwhiler Beach (spelling?) We got there and found they put up a 20 foot berm between the parking lot and the water so you could barely hear the water let alone see it, that sucked. We settle in and make some drinks, we are about 50 feet from PCH, the main coastal road in the continental US, so its loud. Theres a distrinct smell of sewage. This place is down wind from the largest water treatment plant in LA county... the negatives are adding up. So now its time for bed. We noticed but didn't really discuss the constant flow of planes flying over all day. This place is right at the end of one of LAX's runways. It didnt go well. We never went back.

Take care of you and your family!!
Aw its ok man, thanks. This happens pretty often. At 4.8 this one wasnt that big... the Richter scale is base 10 logarithm like our pH. If you compare a 4.0 and a 5.0 the 5 is 10 times stronger than the 4, but a 6 is 100 times stronger, 7 is 1000x, 8 is 10000x. So the whole numbers really mean something. I basically live on the San Andreas fault, the division between the plate the makes up the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and North America. Not a very old idea, but if im lucky the big one will hit and ill end up with beachfront property.

There WILL be an earthquake in California that will change the way people think of earthquakes, i just hope im haunting my house instead of living in it when that happens.

The only earthquake I’ve felt was in a hotel in Vegas. It was a little one 3 something I think it ended up being. We thought the people in the next room were just going at it and rattled the pictures on the wall a bit. Woke up in the morning to the news. Lol.
