That one hurt oldsmokey ,you are what you ride . That old APC Spirit in my avatar would loosen every bolt in 100 mile ride had to have mama on her sportster saddle bags so we could get home . I sold my 2000 road king to buy it in 04 wourst investment ever .
No way I had it with it . I got tired of working on it while everyone else got to party . I’d cuss it kick it and lose sleep over the nightmare for five years. It only had 13,000 miles on it in that time the road king had 62,000 in four years . Was an everyday rider till I got that bike .The comment was directed at myself. Do you still have the bike?
My son has a 500 CBR I’m glad you mentioned it I need to pull it out of mothballs. Took it to Ennis and ran three run at 8.9 seconds every run unbelievable.... Lotta bike riders. Not one of them brags about there CBR
I’d saw it in your last thread color reminded me of my 73 sportster , loved that right foot shift !Couple pics of my bike here
It changed in 75 to left foot shift , I’m old school . I only got 122 miles on that one lady pulled out in front of me then I bought the 74 and seized the front cylinder riding wheelies. That’s when I moved up to Heritage Softtail .That's different right foot shift.
Looks was deceiving, motor was mounted solid to the frame was a great massage riding it till ever but and bolt loosing. That's a sweet looking bike. At my age I need comfort and reliability I even put air ride suspension on the rear of mine.
