I've always used atleast a 5 gallon for my finish pot's, unless I want a tree, but if you have a good fertilizer you can grow nice plants in a smaller pot. Like 2-3 gallon. Man them big pots get full of water and they'll wear ya out. So nice to be able to pic up your plants and turn them without straining your back.

Hey Sprout! Good to see you. Man, I forgot the hip replacement. Glad you learned not to fall down. A real good idea that! I have to learn that too, like you said I might break something I need! Let me know what you think of Moby Dick.....THsea and I like her allot. Be warned that first hit of PE is really confusing. Then it gets better. I hear you on the big pots, but I have been watching you for years and thought I would try them. Got to clear everything out anyway. No left overs. So far I'm the only one growing lots of the Bomb seeds. Needless to say I like them and they are usually very hearty growers. Well younger man, take care!. Hey to Miss J. :high-five:

Thanks, my friend, No body has noticed, but I spaced out their finishing times, so I hopefully wont be trimming them all at the same time at the end. Famous last words. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I totally get this one - those things are a lot of work to pack the insides of those recesses correctly. I have to admit, I find myself really dreading the work involved. Sounds silly to say - until you do several of them and try to use your fingers afterwards. Cursing all the while... They sure work great, though. You were the one who introduced them to me - one of many useful things I've learned from you my friend!

OMM, so you like Bomb Seeds? Which have you grown besides the THC Bomb?

I bought THC Bomb and Cheese Bomb (10 each). I popped 3 each. All 3 THC Bombs were males. One of the Cheese Bombs never made it out of the rockwool, and the other 2 were not my most vigorous strains. One was a total runt, but it turned out to be they are very sensitive to hardwater. Fast forward to last night and I discovered that BOTH of my Cheese Bombs hermied on me.

I plan to give them another shot in the future, but right now, I'm not a fan of Bomb Seeds. If you like them, that will make me a little more enthusiastic about giving them another try.
 
I bought two of seven total, bombs. THC was the first to fry, a canary in the coal mine. Changed location, traded up to T5 from T8, put a fan on them and actually watched the temp & humid. They all got busy with life including the Medi Bomb which has tripled vigorously. I topped her with two others and soon I hope her cuttings single, with the other two. From three nodes looks like nine hopefuls :)

Sounds like all their strains are a little sensitive. I'll try again, but not for awhile. Thanks. Later Gator! :rofl:

What in the world Hiker? Damn! I have never had one Not pop right up. I use RO water maybe that is the difference. I put them in Rapid Rotter plugs that have been soaked in RO water a few hours, put the seeds in and put them under lights and within 4 days they are all up. In fact there is a picture story right at the end of the journal I just closed showing the whole process.
I only buy female seeds so that might be it too? :high-five:

I usually defoliate at day 21 and day 45 of flower, give or take a day or two.

Why defoliate? To let the bud sites below receive some light. Bigger yields. In all truth if I see a bud site covered up almost anytime I uncover it. The second defoliation is the serious one for me. Let there be light.


Questions welcome. By the way some grower defoliate almost constantly.

hey OMM so shit im still kinda sick went to the doc today actually for a lump on my wrist and talked about me bieng sick also
he tells me i shoulda told him about being sick first because of some minor breathing issues, anywho so the bump on the wrist i have to see some orthopedic guy supposedly a cyst but not a cancerous on its some kinda liquid cyst that occurs in the wrist area, he mentioned that people who work alot with thier hands is the people this usually happens too. so im off to see that guy tomorrow morning.
other than that i hope your feeling better sorry im still down dont really want to chance making you sick, im thinking it mighta been the flu but symptoms werent severe cause i had the flu shot, so mainly cold like symptoms with congestion had body aches when it first occured but that passed. well maybe not totally not yet anywho.
as far as a heavy defol outside i wouldnt think that heavy of a defol would be necessary as much as indoors as the sun can be intense and the sun moves so the light does shift on the plant, just a thought.

Hi My Buddy. Sorry you are still feeling bad. Just keep taking care of yourself. Good thing they found the cyst.
They can turn crazy sometime. I finally got a Dr. appointment next month with dermatology to see why I bleed every time I bump something. Everything is out side now, so watering is the only real task I have to do. I'll be thinking of you down at Safeway. I will probably go watch the Swimming Chickens again.:rofl:

Had to return a duck to duck road the other day. I think they like me. Fire bird says Hi! Get well Brother.:thumb:
