OldMedMan's Aloha Journal Part 2

Hi there Buckshot. :high-five:

Took Jo down for her anesthesiologist appointment today. Man they cover everything now, totally different from when I had my Colonoscopy. My surgery was like the dark ages compared today. The covered every little detail.
We got there at 10 AM and stayed until almost 5 pm. I used up two bottles of O2. Overall Jo is in much better shape than me. They told her that too!

For the next few days she will be washing herself with baths and rubbing different oils and lotions all over herself. I was told to stay away from her. Guess, I'm part of the great unwashed!

I'll take her over the 21st at 10 AM and leave her there. The surgery will not take place until 6 PM that night and I will come back the next morning to see her. She will be out all night. She is fine with that.

Great place, everyone is so positive that it is contagious.

We are are rooting for her and for you... some peace of mind is in order, got any lucy? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks Buckshot. I have Lucy, however Moby Dick is taking care of things quite nicely. :loopy::angel:

Hello Everyone..........Thanks so much for your support and well wishes. It sure helps. :high-five::bravo:

I'm starting to realize the saying "When it rains, it pours" is true. A light came on in my Mazda and Jo and I looked it up. The book said don't drive it and get it to a Mazda Dealer. Called all the dealers around and no openings for a month. Found one over by the Airport on the other side of the island and they said get it towed. No thanks. We put it on the list for one of the local Mazda Dealers. It will take about a month.

So.....we went down and rented a car for a week.......You got it!....it's a new Mazda. Luck of the draw. It cost us much less than we thought it would. Beautiful car. Jo has a car, it's 20 years old and not real trustworthy.

It takes me a while to realize things sometimes. Jo is scared to death of this surgery! She is so tough, it had not entered my mind. We talked about it for hours today. I think it helped her.

When ever I have had major surgery, I just looked at it as two possible out comes....I would make it or not. If I woke up cool, if I didn't, I would never know. Believe me Jo does not think that way!

Of all people, her son called and asked the magic question "How are you feeling?". That was what she wanted someone to ask. Not how are you?

Tell you one thing, Jo is clean! Three showers today. What a trip this has been. OK, we are up to date. :high-five:

OMM & Jo,
Sativaday morning, the weedend is upon us. Be strong, my friend, Jo needs you to be. Never easy watching your better half suffer. Went through several with mine. Let`s hope this surgery makes Jo a changed woman. All she`s going through right now has to affect her every day life. Pain is hell to live with. Know I`ve had my share of it. Some time I`ll elaborate, but now is not the right time. May good vibes and good karma come your way on a gentle ocean breeze. Give Jo a hug and a kiss from me. Hang in there my ol` friend, Jo really needs you to be strong right now.

Hope she is feeling ok as best as she can for whats going on

Good weed OMM. I hope you and Jo are doing better. I had a mazda one of the small ones. Blew the engine up after I spent 300 bucks fixing the front axels.

Hi My Good friend. I am with her Buddy. We had a good day together. I cooked her one of her favorites tonight, Pork Chops and BBQ baked beans, She loved it. At midnight she goes on a liquid diet. You know, Jello, and soft stuff. That is all she will get until a while after her surgery. I got her 2 bags of ice pops, which she loves, that should help. I also got her a really soft pillow for after the surgery. When she coughs it's going to hurt like hell.

You sound like you know about pillows and pain, I sure loved my soft pillow after surgery. :Namaste:

Thanks for the vibes....every little bit helps. Peace and Thanks yooper.

Hi My Good Buddy Cronic! She is actually feeling good most of the time. She has shooting pains, but thank goodness not too many. Tomorrow will be hard for her...Jo likes to eat. Just Jello and shave ice and stuff, is not what she likes. I do believe she will be grumpy by surgery time.

Hope your stomach is better..nasty stuff.

Thanks, it's great to know you will be there if we need you. You are good friend man.

Believe it or not, she just told me I could grow 4 plants if I wanted to.

I'm going to wait until she is recovering before I start them. That made my day. Think I will start them in my tent, then put em outside.
Got work on my lights.

Happy Skunkday Buddy :thumb:

Same to you Buddy. Thanks.

Jo's Doctor told her to drink some milk magnesia that it wasn't the kind that would hurt her. After she drank it she started having awful pains, He lied. It was the wrong kind. He will catch hell tomorrow from her. What an a hole. She is in needless pain. She will be cleaned out for sure.

Tomorrow is the big day. Wish her luck.
:high-five::popcorn:

My Prayers are with you guys today my friend.

Hi All. I dropped Jo off today at 2 PM for her surgery. They are prepping her now. Her surgery will be at 6 pm, at least that's the plan. I will not see her until 10-11 AM tomorrow. Thanks for all the good wishes, OMM :high-five:
