OldMedman Goes Indoors

Hey OMM,
Here's a simple but effective way of flushing your plants, think I remember you asking this in an earlier post:
Set your potted plant into 5 gal bucket on TOP of another pot turned upside down:

Flush your plants as normal, allowing waste to drain into the 5 gal bucket:

Dump your 5 gal bucket outside in garden or somewhere where it will be of use, or you could rig up a bilge pump to the system to dispose of the waste, you could even set all plants up this way from the beginning, and rig up a resevoir with your straight H20 and flushing agent, set on a sprinkler control box, or something similar, which will automatically flush for you, and then dispose. I have set up this system personally for a friend's operation, who is disabled, so I set up a system that handles almost every aspect of the hard work, except trimming..

Thanks GT! That's a good way to do it alright. If I can get over the Hydro store in the next few days, I'm going to get some flood table trays. They are 4'x4' and 2 of them would do it. I have a wet vac, so it may be easier for me.
Just suck up the leftovers. :) That's the plan, but you know how plans go! :yikes::yikes:

Hey oldmed,

This is actually zzoomm100. I changed my username.

I'm sorry to hear about your lady, I never know what to say about these things so I'm just gonna send my positive wishes her way.

So where the heck did everyone go? ------- etc.. I think the worst part is that there was no explanation. Just gone. Seems like we lost a lot of conviviality around here.

Thanks for that flushing technique GodsTrichome. I always have standing water under my plants after I water and it's a pain in the ass to drain. I'm gonna use that method for watering.

Hi greatlakes. :)
Glad you told me your old name, I was going to do the welcome to 420 routine
for you.;)
Yea, I don't know what to say either some times. Thanks though! All we can do is miss those that are gone. :peace:

Awesome! That's a really great thing to hear. :high-five: She must be tough to go through that.

She's right - Saturdays suck for TV. I have an electrical storm too caused by my silver surfer. Whooooaaa 'Nelly! ;)

High xlr8. :ganjamon:

Been thinking about your silver surfer since I blew my vape up. I gotta quit trying to get higher than ever!:rasta: We had a real hell of a storm just passing through. 4" of rain in an hour the news said. Not used to the lights yet......when I realized the electricity came back on....I ran over and pulled the plug and let it sit for 30 minutes before turning it back on. New fangled things! :) Jo is tough...she's been trough this kinda thing for years, poor thing.

Had a scare with AC, sucker wouldn't come back on. I finally realized it had a circuit breaker on the plug too. Breath of relief! :high-five:

Well, it wasn't allot of pictures, but they are still bumping along.
:bravo:

That's the way to use CFLs oldmed. Dangle them down to provide supplementary light to the lower sections. I used to surround my plants with them and let the plants grow naturally, as tall as they wanted. That's the beauty of CFLs, their versatility. Plants look healthy.

Hi Buddy. :)

I love CFLs. Been vegging with them for years. At the end of my last grow, I had to go inside and finish them CFLs. Worked great! In fact one the best plants I ever grew was in that bunch, a Lucy. Still smoking her.:high-five:

look n good omm...nice & green...high on kk now ...he he ...glad to hear jo s doing better....

Hi SS. :ganjamon:

My last KK is long gone.:icon_roll:icon_roll I hate to say it.:smokin2:

Jo is better, still a bit of pain. The worse part is waiting for the test result. We were taking about that tonight. We once "worse cased my test results" and it was the worst case: cancer.

So we are not doing that again. Not that we are superstitious. :yahoo:

Hey OMM, plants are looking good! You and CFL's are definitely do a good job. Glad to hear Jo is doing better. My best to the two of you.

Hey Who. I like saying that! :ganjamon: Good name you have, I love CFLs, all there is to it. They work.

Thanks Buddy, yep she is feeling better. Me too! :high-five:

Ganja Who......just noticed.....Welcome to 420 and my Journal....a pleasure to see you here.

Great to hear that she is doing a little bit better :)

That cozy warm tent looks great with all the girls in there, I'd love to take a nap in there...

Got to go now, the kids are ready to go to the park. I'll send you pics later!

Hey Sisco ! :rasta:

You would love the smell in there too. :)

I'll be looking for the pictures. Thanks! :Namaste:

Thanks Buddy! :Namaste:

Old 82nd Huh? Good on ya bud. Army man myself..also 100% disabled. I was hoping for one more trip to Europe, but cancer got me. After all these years I still miss it. Man, you live in a beautiful place. :high-five: Take care! :peace:

Thanks for your service OMM, yeah paratroopin was a joy for me, unfortunatly it's that sudden stop at the end that got me :)

Good luck with the grow! :Namaste:

Hello OMM,

I've lurked your grows and part of the reason I'm doing a different method of growing is because of your experiences with Air Pots :Namaste:

I hope today brings peace and health to you and Jo.

Count me in in this grow, even as late as I am!

:peace:

:yahoo:
Don't tell me! It's your fault!:yahoo:

I blame the cookies:oops::):):blunt:

But on a serious note, I'm so glad to hear that Jo is doing much better. I'm sure the pain is still there, she's probably getting aclimated to it to a degree, and some of it subsided, making for a happy medium of some comfort....I hope it'll just go away all together.
I cant wait to see what that blueberry is going to do indoors!!

Eveything is looking sooooo good my friend, and I'm so glad to hear about Mrs. Joe. I added you two to our prayer list at church today, along with some other great friends I have met here. Hope to hear better news soon, well I gots to go, fishing time!!!!

My hydro store has those trays way overpriced. I did consider, and see something similar at Home Depot though for $22 they are used to put your washing machine on.
