Diamond is doing fine. She has made it. :) :thumb:

There are other options in regards to opening the plant up for light penetration, you can do some tucking of the leaves as well. Just tuck them under or out of the way here and there with a gentle bend, then you don't lose the leaf....you just open an area for light.

Just a thought. :)

Beautiful big plants mate and healthy well done.they will defo enjoy a trim and be good for better airflow around ur budsites.u dont want mold setting in.perfect job so far mate keep it up;)

Thank you brother tell me how do you feel about foliar feeding added to your regular feeds?

That's actually a good idea I've seen snid doing this with his "corkscrew" I'll try some of both defoling is so controversial I've heard excellent arguments for both pro and con so that makes it that much more difficult thanks. And canna how do you feel about adding foliar feeding to your regular feeding?

:thumb: They are looking good and yes rotating is a good idea if there is no more room for some side lights.

In 2 weeks I will be roommate free and have a 6'x8'x8' more than enough room I had planned on 2 red and 2blue cfl spots and I'm saving up now for another 600 mars11 to add to my 2 300 mars I'm running now. Lemme ask you your opinion on defoling and foliar feeding added to a regular feeding schedule

HI Ohio,

I've never done foliar feeds. I have some stuff here to do it, but have not tried it yet. Most I've done on foliar (besides killing critters) is light misting the leaves with rainwater a couple times a week, they seem to respond well to that.

:circle-of-love:

Why they like rainwater misting or why I haven't tried foliar feeds?

If it's the rainwater....dunno.....
When I first started growing I was subscribed to someone's journal (cannot recall who now) who did this and I tried it. The leaves just seemed to have a lusher look to them. Maybe the stomata (similar to "pores" under the leaves) drank it right up and said :thanks:.

Foliar feeding is done by many many growers here.

Hi all well the cold front has passed back into the mid 80's I was enjoying that cool weather. I've decided to stop the foliar feeding of the liquid karma for now until I do some more research there are not directions on the bottle other than the mixture ratios and it seems that everyone has something different t to say about it which is why I love this forum so I'm gonna venture into the wide world web and see what solid info I can come up with there going great as is this far so if it ain't broke don't fix it right? But breeder info said 8-9 weeks to harvest from germination well I'm in week 5&6 and I'm not even halfway there? At least I hope not lol. Let's take a look

my bottom branches that I lst'd away from the base of the plant are starting to catch up to the two mains from the topping that I've got tied down
420-magazine-mobile685530014.jpg
420-magazine-mobile846653285.jpg
its about 4" short of the mains. It would be nice for them to catch up and "table top" it's just seeing other autos there tall I'm almost 7 weeks in and she ain't broke 18" now in all fairness I e got the two mains tied down but still

im going to do some bottom carriage defoliation today clean her up a bit there's some big fans laying on the soil that are yellowing so I'm gone get this outta there

see there's a lot going on under all these fans. I feel like the canopy is just too much to thick but as I write this I'm thinking and that shouldn't matter to the "stretch" actually you would think it would encourage stretching maybe the lights too close its about 18" away maybe I should lift it another 6" maybe that would encourage more stretching. All I know is if these girls don't start to do some serious stretching I'm gonna be harvesting nothing but popcorn and that would be a HUGE disappointment I just don't know

Diamond @day11 (I just went back through my journal and it was the 15th when I broke Crystal so I've been giving the wrong days on Diamond until today sorry about that

I have to add also today 10-27 I watered one gallon each per plant of straight water ph @5.6-5.8 also I did some more defoliation

Star clippings and after shot

Needed to add that to today's journal but it wouldn't let me edit so I had to do it this way.

Note. This is the first drink of plain water that my sisters have EVER gotten. Next feeding/watering will the the 31st

Would u try these strainss again? Plants look great man

Well I can't really give you an answer yet this is my first run with these strains. Now i can tell you that the breeder I would definitely use again
And actually have several more strains from the same that I'm gonna do next green crack and gorilla glue there in the fridge now waiting there turn

Somehow my watering schedule got all messed up( I think I'm a stoner) I forgot that I was not stretching my roots anymore and was shortening my dry time it was 8 days I dropped it to 6 and the last water I spaced and realized I hadn't watered and it had been 10 days. Ya know the girls still didn't show signs of lack of water. I'm thinking that for autos I'm gonna use a different soil than this fox farms ocean forest don't get me wrong it's awesome soil and for photos it would be perfect but imho the dry out for autos needs to be faster so that more nutrients can be offered to the plants without fear of over watering since there life is so short. Seriously if I watered/feed every 7 days then the plant will only get watered 8-10 times then you divide that number in half and that's how many times I/you/we can feed with nutes. Then in half again for veg or flower specific nutes. In photos you do that much or more just in veg so I'm gonna look to double those numbers for my autos so I need to find a good medium/soil that "wicks" out every 3-4 days instead of 10-12 and honestly I've never let it go past 10 days because I don't have that time with these autos but I know 12 days wouldn't be a problem and the most liquid they have ever gotten is one gallon each and I'd bet a quarter of that gallon turns to run off so like I was saying I started at 8 days then I dropped to 6 now I'm doing 6 then 4 then 6 then 4 so on average every 5 days. The 6 day wait will be when I feed with nutes the 4 day wait will be just water (well just water and 10ml of liquid karma as it states to never water without )

Moving on:

i love the tight little curly pistils
420-magazine-mobile756157015.jpg

Also I've moved the lights up some 6' I'm hoping that it'll help with that good stretch. I know I'm close to the flip but I also know that to change my nutes to flower too early is a bad deal with these autos so I keep looking for the "stretch" into flower

she also has some pistils about a 1/4 of the "mother" plant Crystal but ya gotta figure in lost time from the break and re-rooting into a clone and the stress of all that so she's not really too far behind. Hell im happy she took root I'm curious to see what kinda flower she grows

Ok I'm outta here have a good day all.️

Came outside for a smoke thought I would snap a couple pics of my experiments lol so this is what happens when you have the ability (meaning it never gets cold never below 55f) to grow outside year around and start a photo after summer solstice

she had turned out to be an experiment of Mother Nature; what happens to a plant left entirely on her own (after I spent weeks training her and waiting on her seeds to come and spending literally at least $100 on organics to keep her alive. She's been on her own for about 3 weeks now. None of my outdoor girls have gotten any nutes only bug and mold stuff that's all organic mostly SnS as i was blessed by a fellow green thumb with there complete line

I'm thinking another veg nute feeding and then flip to flower nutes. So she would start getting flower nutes in about 11 days cause I feed tomorrow then 6 days then 4 days to feed again and that will be flower nutes. But I'm not confident as a newby on autos and a newby useing non-organic nutes so please feel free to tell me what you would do. Also I want to defol these more I'm not sure if that's in my head for some reason but I just feel like it's something that needs to be done so I could use some help over here please.

now she's 7 days behind Crystal can't forget that but I'm starting to really stress the lack of stretching in Star well honestly in them both but at least Crystal did do some stretching its just I see all these other journals with these autos 4-5 ft tall and the whole main is one big cola and they have the bottom section of the plant completely cleared out so there is zero foliage for the first 6-8 inches up from the soil. The only thing I can figure is I've not been feeding nutes often enough. I mean I've got 2 mars 300's so 600watts on two plants more than enough light so it's gotta be my feeding schedule or an environmental issue like too hot maybe? The breeder info said germ to harvest 6-8 weeks well Crystal is on week 6 today and hasn't even gone into full flower. Don't get me wrong I'm still way ahead in comparison to a photoperiod plant so I love that but the hype about the harvest time and yield was up to 1.3lbs per plant (ya right) more like 1.3 ounces if I'm lucky. If they don't stretch each cola is gonna be like enough for a good joint. I don't know I just feel like I'm doing something wrong and I hate that. They can't be root bound there in 5 gallon buckets, no spots or discoloration on ANY leaves there on 19/5 so what's keeping these girls from growing up.

Diamond is having some issue her top fans are turning colors
420-magazine-mobile319142914.jpg
and the tips of the bottom fans are curled under and yellowing. What should I do? I'm still getting new growth every day also so that just makes it that much more frustrating

Believe it or not I'm a glass half full kinda guy it's just so damn frustrating

Hope y'all are doing better than I stay green.
