Oh my... Sorry Canna....
How To Use Progressive Web App aka PWA On 420 Magazine Forum
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
I water them every 10-14 days canna it's just the compost is so rich I've stayed away from the forum for two reasons one I can't get in to take pics cause she's here till tomorrow and B. Because I messed up. I sprayed them and I mean sprayed them with neem oil at the correct 10:1 ratio but I did it 3 days in a row and I did it in the am so I burnt them all up bad everything under the canopy is jaundice and the canopy well the flowers all the pistils got burnt leaves curled and crispy more than half of total foliage is gone just falling off from movement. But I can't just give em upI was just looking back at a bunch of pics leading up to the eventual current challenges. I do notice that your soil seems to always be wet. It could be that you are over watering?? This will cause the plants to loose vigor/energy required to fight off disease and insects.
I try and err on the side of letting my plants get too dry. This is specially true if I grow in buckets without any holes (lets the roots dry out) .... here's a way to tell if you over water. When you cull or harvest - pull the plant out by the roots and smell the root ball. It should smell like loamy soil, and not like something that is decaying ... you will know the difference straight away.
That said another issue I saw was your compost tea. You should brew for 24-36 hrs TOPS.. Once you go over 36 hrs you risk anaerobic bacteria growth and/or turning the brew into well a brew with alcohol. That's a definite NO NO / no grow for plant health. If you want to brew a compost tea longer that 36 hrs that's OK just don't add in sugar.
Sugar will eventually ferment and grow the nasties in soil instead of the good bacteria. That can get outright be un-healthy for you and your family. Be careful and be sure and wash hands and anything you spill the tea on. Cleanliness next to Godliness... it's not a cliche.
With compost teas I've got to the point that I don't add sugar/BSM. There's lots of carbohydrates already in the soil/compost, all we need are the micro-organisms and they will grow with lots of oxygen and a short bit of time. The BSM is good but a little goes a long way.. and there's better sources of carbs for the mycos... fresh coconut water is one.
Thanks for the invite Ohio from the island . I have zero experience with tropical grows and you have collected many names here more suited than i to help. The tropical grows i have seen use tunnels like carports but with 10 mil poly and they are aligned with predominant winds This would help prevent mold and finishing out your grow though not sure about fungus?
That said I would sacrifice this grow to find all your issues and work up preventative measures for the next grow as I read this happend to you before.
Find a deterrent for your lace bug ( Bacillus thuringiensis mixed with vaseline smeared around the stock and let nothing else touch the ground or other vegetation???)
then find the predator to eat them.
once you know what these are you can wage war! you know the symptoms so you can attack early if not prevented.
I prefer using predators like spiders ladybugs and dragonflies to help with my gardens in general as opposed to pesticides. I can't say enough for Neem oil and Diatomaceous Earth an oz of prevention they say. ladybugs love my dill and geraniums its the pollen i think , dragon flies love my small water feature that gets midday sun and has a few small plants for the nymphs .
where i live in canada humidity is way lower and i would fight to grow an equatorial sativa here! You need some local strains or crosses to start with, or at least something known to thrive in tropical climates not afghans. My gf says her friends on O'ahu grow diesels with success but outdoors you need sativas imho...
I lust after the ability to finish out a massive haze in a 500 gallon smart pot lmao a gorrilla i would grow !
wish i knew more to help Broheim
I hear ya it's hard to sacrifice but triage works the best if you're not attached .So did you look at the roots and clean to see ? is it all through the plant or stem only? any more bugs? when I used to grow using light deprivation in the 90s we used 5 gallon pails like you but drilled 12 3/4 holes around the bottom like a clock . line the bottom with newspaper and put an inch-ish of perlite in the bottom then your soil drains very well allows the roots to breath and grow real healthy! bonus is all your dirt stays put. We never saw any root issues, we used white pails to prevent cooking the precious roots in the summer sun . I use the big wallmart bags now ( 6gal volume) Reduce reuse recycle lol.
Rooting for ya over here
so how that work you paid rent and damage deposit and get evicted or just your plants?
Hey Ohio, did you post somewhere that you have a hermie?
I was just at Hidan420's journal and thought I read that there.
And good luck on your plan!
