Have you grown a Blue Gelato before?
Mine seems to be growing more Sativa-ish than any I've ever seen in pictures.
I think I've seen one that looks similar to this but most of the rest looked like growing a White Widow.
Not sure what these buds are going to do.
They are in week 4 of flower so hopefully the Gelato has at least 5 weeks left, preferably 6.
They could be kinda big airy buds or end up big fat 2 liter bottle dense buds.

I never grow Sativa or Sativa dominate strains so this type of bud structure I don't have much experience with.

Yeah, kinda glad that I didn't get my usual 30-35 colas per plant on this run.
Everything got a bit phucked up because of a Autoflower I tried to squeeze in that grew 2 weeks longer and a foot taller than claimed.
So I had to monkey around and juggle lights and train the Hiydrow oddly to make it work which screwed my usual LST.
The Gelato just took off in stretch and went wild.
I've only got about 24 colas per plant give or take a couple.
But the Gelato filled out like crazy.

Gelato was a fast grower for me and all nugs. Looks like your's are colas. Thats not a bad thing. You're gonna have a nice haul there.
Gelato is girl scout cookies and Sherbet cross. Look mainly like nugs on the vine most every one I've seen.

The blue in Blue Gelato is actually Blueberry.
If they fill out for the next week and then fatten up for 3 weeks they might end up being pretty good.

Well it looks like that's what it's going to do.
I've never grown a strain that looked anything like this at all so totally new to me.
The biggest leaf on the Gelato is about the size of the palm of my hand.
And the colas have just a few small leaves.
They should have at least a month left maybe longer so plenty of time to fatten.
I'll know in about 2 weeks, if they're going to fatten up to 2 liter soda bottle size, it should start by then.
The Hiydrow just started that fattening stage today with the calyxes blooming out, so shes got about 3 weeks, maybe little longer.

Hiydrow looks like maybe slightly smaller than usual, probably get between 7 to 8 oz. I blame that on that autoflower.
The Gelato I got no clue.
Could be 6 oz if it doesn't fatten, could be 12+oz if it does.
They are all about 22" long colas and there isn't any room to train anything anywhere.
They are stacked in there like french fries.

Yeah I got most everything all yoyo'd up and also use pipe cleaners this time.
I take a cola close to wall and attach to wall with tape and pipe cleaner, then next cola I pull up to where I want it and connect that cola to the one attached to wall and do the same with all the buds connecting one to the other and they hold each other up right where you want them by just adjusting the length of the pipe cleaners.
So I am trying to get a little space between them so they can fatten.
They're already starting to lean pretty far over, especially the Hiydrow, those buds are very heavy with oil.

Tomorrow is week 6.
So could have a month left on the Gelato and probably 3 weeks on the Hiydrow because its showing no signs of senescence, not a single yellow leaf on the plant, and its uncharacteristically not turning purple yet either, so iam sure it's got more than 2 weeks, so probably 3.
I am seeing some areas of the Gelato that are popping out, you know when you see like 2 to 3 calyxes with the white hairs all balled up just about to explode out looks like a little popcorn kernel.
So it just now fattening up.
I have hopes of about 20, 2 liter bottle size colas stacked in there but we'll see.

Iam pretty definitely going to get my average of 16 to 17oz but might get lucky if they really fatten the final 2 weeks and get a bit more.

Fortunately should be 7 to 10 days apart for harvest, makes it a little easier.
Hard to say what the Gelato is going to do but the past two days she has started to pop out a shit ton of white hairs and calyxes so looks like shes starting to fatten and has at least 3 + weeks to go.

I had to start watering every single day now, they're drinking like drunken sailors.
That's a good sign for solid growth so all signs pointing to fattening right on up.

Hiydrow is just dripping in oil.
Gelato should have just about 3 weeks left and Hiydrow about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks.

Not a yellow leaf to be found anywhere which normally means at least 2 weeks even on the Hiydrow.

Guzzling 3 gallons of water everyday now, nothing in the water but a teaspoon of Yucca.
I might add just a splash of coconut water once in awhile but that's it for the whole last 4 weeks.
The unicorn poop is cranking out plenty of goodness.

The Gelato looks like it should be easy to trim at harvest, it's pretty much just all bud.
Brix is still around 11 to 12 which I guess is fairly decent for a standard LOS no-till grow.

The soil food web has been working pretty well for at least 400 million years now so no reason to phuck with mother nature, she knows best.

Looks like the Hiydrow is getting close, it's at that point where when you look at the whole bud or whole plant really, it goes from that bright white sparkly look to one that kinda looks like you just sprayed the whole bud with a coconut oil spray, everything kinda darkens and looks really oily, I get this look right before I start seeing amber trichomes.
So I suspect I got maybe a week left on the Hiydrow.

Gelato, I dunno, those things are crazy.
I am hoping they got about another 2 1/2 weeks, all trichomes are fat and clear and never seen so many damn white hairs, they are exploding out like popcorn.
These two buds, actually more like spears are 24" and 26" and just in the last couple days starting to fatten.

The Blueberry I ran when I first started growing threw out new pistols up to and even after chop. I have a some Haze I'm running now doing the same thing.

Hard to go by the pistols if there is Sativa in the genetics.

Have to take a close look at the trichomes I suppose.
