Went ahead and did the deed, tossed a fence on top of them.
Always look like shit the first few days under the SCROG.

Thanks StoneOtter
Yep just 5 days and she was about as full as I was going to get her.
There were some spots open but trying to fill it would have been difficult so just went phuck it, I think I got between 58 to 60 colas possibly.
About 15 shy of what I was hoping for so I failed there.
Should easily get my usual 17+oz.
Was hoping for over 20oz but that would take a bunch of really beefy buds.
Just flipped to flower today.
Was only 6 1/2 weeks veg, everything grew quick.
The Super Critical Bud decapitating itself might have cost me a few buds.

thats my excuse and I am sticking to it.

Flying right along, growing pretty quick, no deficiency nor toxicity as you would expect with LOS.
Bit miffed I didn't get it filled up 100%

Keeping temp at 78 day and 71 night and humidity still keeping at 65-68% until she actually starts to bud.
Watering about 6x a week.
Start of flip I added Biophos and Elixir and a regular dose of Buildabloom to water.
Small top dress of Craftblend and a few pinches of Bokashi.
Chopped a little cover crop to shove under the mulch to feed worms.

Then I listened to some blues.

That's not a meal it's an experience Nunya! Way to go! Peach wood for the smoke mix! I haven't tried sourcing it but sounds like I'd like it. So how was the weed mix after the long sit? Well done brother!
Hmm, why are several of my pictures and post missing?
Is cooked pork and turkey against the rules here now?
My Thanksgiving dinner and my Pork belly sandwich are all missing.
Also ALL of my mushroom pictures and post are all gone.

WTF is that about?

It might be because it is non weed related? Even tho they look very tasty, especially the pork!

Here is a cut n paste of one of @InTheShed's recents post on this topic;

Any time you want to post a non-weed-related video, post it to an off-topic thread like this one:
https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/random-photo-dumps.459695/

and then post a link here to that post! Then it's all legit.

Thats a bit weird though, I like a journal to be a journal.

Yay @Squiggle been following along as you've browsed through my journal.

No buds yet but they look close.
Growing nicely, almost forget I am growing cannabis once it gets to this stage because there's literally nothing to do but a daily watering and snip the occasional leaf.

Trying to catch up mate. Nearly there. Another 10 pages to go. Loving the home made light you made the other year. I will stop smashing that like button as you will end up with a thousand notifications. Unless you don't mind the bell ringing every 2 seconds

The off-topic stuff isn’t allowed in the on- topic areas. Thankfully they usually tolerate it or let it slide in the journals a bit, like music links and stuff, which is great.

Yeah, what others are saying I've heard. It's a pita but keeps the weed growing pure. And the storage cost down I'd think. Do you know how to work the insert link button? Fit for a king your meals are!

So, I figured that I would post my view on watering which I am sure many will not agree with but I see it as pretty factual.

There is basically no such thing as "overwatering"
What you have is a "lack of oxygen" to the roots, your problem is your grow medium is not aerated enough, if its actual soil you need at least 30% of it to be aeration in the form of Pumice, Rice Hulls and Pre-charged Biochar or similar.

If you're growing in soil there is really zero reason for you to be using bottled nutrients, you should be in large fabric pots filled with a quality Clackamas Coots soil recipe and have cover crop, worms etc.
The old roots, the cover crop roots, the worm holes and castings, the copious amounts of aeration in the soil all create a proper soil tilth where the roots always have good oxygen levels regardless how much you water unless you're just being ridiculous and leaving a hose running.
But in general reality I don't think that I can overwater my plants.
I have all the above plus I always super oxygenate my water so everytime I water i am charging my soil with dissolved oxygen.
If you wish to use synthetic nutrients then you should be using a medium like coco with some pumice and biochar mixed in.
And again you water everyday or even continuously with coco and guess what you aren't overwatering because the roots get plenty of oxygen because of the aeration of the medium.
Hell in DWC you literally grow in water, hard to overwater water, the reason there's no problem is you oxygenate the water.

So while everyone is unfortunately wrapped and tied with this notion that you must allow your plants roots to "dry out Sahara dry" in between waterings it just makes me cringe everytime I see it which sadly is everyday.
I've seen numerous people that are scared shitless to water their plants now because its been drummed into them that the biggest killer of newbie weed is overwatering.
Meanwhile their root tips and root hairs are drying out and dying which is going to stunt growth, in some cases could even kill the plant by shocking the roots and leaving pockets of concentrated dried nutrient salts in the soil.
And all of is totally unnecessary if they simply start out with a proper medium for how they've chosen to grow.

In soil, use a Living Organic Soil properly aerated and add worms and cover crop to create the proper tilth, oxygenate your water and then you just water as the SOIL needs it which is usually at least a little bit everyday and in flower a gallon or two everyday.

With bottled nutrients you chose coco with added aeration and again you water daily.

If you're only able to water once a week then basically you're hamstringing yourself for no reason because your soil isn't right.
Its like trying to build a house on sand with no foundation.

You've phucked yourself from day one and you're going to fight tooth and nail to keep that house from collapsing.

Your soil or grow medium is the very foundation of your grow.
Start with the right one and its pretty smooth sailing.

Toss dirt in a plastic bucket and you're stuck with an endless fight.

In a proper medium you do not ever want your roots in dry soil.
The only people that will need to do this wet/dry manure and 2,3,4 up pots etc are those that decided to build their house on sand.

I will always suggest that you start with a proper foundation instead.

You sum up my experience there Nunyabiz! I couldn't grasp the concept of letting my pots dry out as is often recommended, it seemed to me, that in nature, living soil doesn't dry out like the Sahara every day. When I would let my pots dry to 2 inches deep, those top 2 inches were barren, they dried out too much and that soil appeared lifeless and wasted. But when I added a mulched layer and watered each day, that top layer had thousands of little roots accessing the nutrients and worms living in it. Plus my pots are heavily drilled out so they dry out quickly enough on their own without me holding back water from them. Sometimes in the heat my plants need watering twice a day, I can tell because they wilt! With my style of LOS growing I completely agree with your watering views and I feel my plants are doing well and better when 'breaking' these commonly held rules. So your points are a definite thumbs up from me!:thumb:

Little update, week one of flower, growing nicely.
But can see a definite difference between the 20 gallon pot (center) vs the 7 gallon pot (left side) with the same cultivar which is Cream & Cheese CBD.
I marked out the 3 plants in this pic.
The Cream & Cheese in the center is about twice the size as the 7 gallon pot.
And I am giving the 7 gal more amendments than the other two, the difference is in the roots.
The 20 gal pot everything is bigger, leaves are larger, the stems are thicker, the whole plant is just bigger and more robust.
The light intensity is just about identical, I have very even coverage.
