Interested to awe this jock horor. Did u mention if it was an auto? I grew jock horor auto under a t5 and got about 4 ounces.

Thank you for asking. I seem to have forgotten to mention these are the feminized, photoperiod variety.

By the way, how did you like the auto? This is my first try with both of these plants.

I used a forum sponsor so I believe I am allowed to say it was Herbies Head Shop Seed Bank. Found in the sponsors tab.

I'm pretty sure if you use the banner link found here on 420mag they (Herbies) get to know where their advertising is worth while and hopefully continue their generous sponsorship and participation here :)

Day Five

Jock
Jack

Nute splash on Jock's lower leaves. Jack continues to grow in a bit of a twisted manner. pH 5.7. I may try 5.5 next...

I followed the smell of Tead's delicious baked beans and ended up over here! You are definitely gonna have a chance to use your Jedi mind tricks on those two girls. Beautiful clean grow space too.

Gonna set up shop here in the second row. Is there anywhere to plug a vape in somewhere?

Bob ;)

baked beans

Baked?!?! Oh I think not. "Beans and rice" baby.
See... you need to cook this up once... you'd never make that faux-pas again.
Thanks for the little side love there... sorry to rough you up for it.

Are you using the MG perlite? It it possible there was some "heat" in the mix? I know they put a small amount of nutes in with the perl. Perhaps yours had a touch more than usual. I always give my perl a good flush before use. Got a big galvanized steel tub that works great for cleaning perl both pre and post grow.

Oh, Tead my friend. Thank you.

I didn't see it. I didn't bother to look. That's how complacent I was with the mix. Disappointing. You are correct, this Perlite mix is enriched.

It's fixable and I'm glad to know now.

I lowered the light today to its final canopy distance of 18 inches. I also turned on the second fan inside the box. Currently the fans are on low on opposite sides of the box pointing up at the light and slightly towards each other. This creates a gentle bit of turbulent air without blowing directly on the plants.

Not too much more to report. I'm going to go browse some seeds strains.

When I look at the Jock Horror plant I can't help thinking, yep, that's a Nirvana plant. I see their Northern Light lineage in the leaf structure. Whereas the BC plant with similar strain crosses looks much different.

I have a soft spot for Nirvana. I got my very first beans from them and am now growing out a third strain of their's. All grows have produced well so far and they seem to have a decent variety to choose from.

However, it seems these days breeders are doing some great work stabilizing strains with unique and specific cannabinoid profiles that art really intriguing. I'd like to do more grows like this one where I have one goto Nirvana control plant and one new (to me) breeder's plant for fun.

I gotta get this current grow into high gear, first. I've just completely run out of meds. That's not a bad thing really. I like to give my body a break now and then. Increase my water intake, cleans my system, and reassess my needs. Though, a five month break is going to be long.

Whoa, 5 months. That would be rough for me I will admit, I do 1 month all the time, 5 months total last year if you add up all the time away, but 5 straight? Our thoughts are with you Obi!

I have never run Nirvana genetics and would like to do so sometime. Watching your grow will help! I am making the leap this next seed purchase and nothing will be from who I have run before. But good ole :420: lets me see everyone else's grow and yield before I buy. This time will be HSO, Dutch Passion and Sweet, never run any of them but I am excited.

:Namaste:

I gave the girls a good drink last night. I raised the nute level to 50% with a ppm of 420, lol. I had to smile when I recorded that :)

Jock absolutely loved the feeding. Her branches are nicely outstretched and slightly reaching for the light. Looking good.

Jack I haven't quite figured out yet. She seems a little more sensitive. Growth is reluctantly chugging along. Remember, she is about a week and a node behind Jock from the start. The I raised the pH of the feeding to 5.8. I'm beginning to suspect Jack might like a little lower pH. I'm going to try gradually bringing her pH down to 5.6 and see what happens.

The difficult part about growing two different plants is managing their individual needs. It looks like I may need to fork the feeding regimen soon to get the most out of Jack. We'll see. It's fun figuring it out.

I will post some pics later today. The light has only been on for about 90 minutes and they are still waking up. I can see the temps in the cabinet are still climbing to normal levels. I will try to grab a shot during their mid day since I have the day off today.

Cheers!
