NuttyProfessor And His Herd Of Indigenous Microorganisms

Ok so another question. My dad has a leaf pile that is seriously almost 40 years old, roughly 20ft tall and about 150ft long, no joke. I’ll post a pic of it when I make it out there. If you dig down a foot or so you get this amazing black dirt complete with grubs, centipedes, etc. it’s mostly maple leaves and pin oak leaves. I’m not joking about the age either, it’s a closed community that has been putting there leaves there since 1962. The crazy part is I never thought about it until last night. Now I know this soil is probably jam packed with nutrients and beneficial bacteria and fungi but can I use it as is? If not, what would I have to do to make it work for me? If I can use this soil then it’s literally changing the game for my plants entirely. I’m very confident that Nutty Professor has the answer I need!

if the soil and leaves smell healthy and earthy then use :) the black soil is what you want , this will be full of IMO, humic, fungi etc :ganjamon:

Some pics , forgot to say i chopped the other auto from the Harely run , the smell is out of this world , beautiful body couch lock also from a tester bud :ganjamon:
i was really wanting it to rain so i could catch rain water to top water this next around , but ill have to do with circulated tap water for the microbe drench once i let them dry a little ill top water to run off , then its bottom and top to harvest ,

A little Nutty experimental fun :nerd-with-glasses: this is also teaching me some stuff :snowboating: Its the sort of thing i enjoy doing

so lets see ROOTS :cheesygrinsmiley: , do they grow into dry soil ?:hmmmm: , do they really look for water ?.:hmmmm: or do the like damp moist at all time soil
i have dried the exact soil mix for this test
using a widow box for this to make it easy , the soil is dry but ill let the soil around the plant dry more that i have planted , its a test plant no MJ but for this experiment its the same difference
the box is sat in an angle so i keep one side moist one dry , the water cant flow the other direction , might get a little damp but lets see how it goes , its given me some ideas on doing 7 gallons half and half watering , so its harder to over do when you do the whole pot at once .
it makes sense to me lol

i will give this a month as its end of month now :)

A little evening photo shoot :)

i noticed the white widow a little pale , i looked up some grow dairies and seen it can happen , the WW is meant to be a nutrient hog but ive hardly fed her , just water and some ferment at a low dose because its my first and do not know the strength and i do not want to screw this journal up etc , this tells me that top watering runs your nutes down the sink ,a big fat waste of cash This also tells me if i run a ten gallon pot i can go from start to finish water only and top up with microbe teas to harvest .
Remember friends this is a first for me i am going by what makes sense and what does not, too much information is our enemy :thumb:

So my white widow is pulling some nutes from lower leaves , TBH its pretty normal for the leaves that get no light to become paler and paler, my microbe tea will be ready later today , so if the pot has dried 60/70% im going in from the top this time , this will set me up for flower . 4 weeks i need to get this plant built up to the max , id have a deficiency over a lock out any day :)
You can see the def leaves in the last pic :thumb:

Morning Professor. That WW being in mid flower, I think it would be normal to see some of the larger and older fan leaves start to yellow up. She is pulling everything she can to fatten up those flowers. :Rasta:
thanks mate , i have been cultivated two sets of microbes , i have made a nice soup , using the ferments and the scallops lol
This will be topped watered to run off , a little restart , reboot, clean slate :ganjamon: the ph worked out about 6.4 that i am happy with , I do not ph the water i have been putting in but with the extras i like to see where it stands

Its the first real feed she got the white widow , shes asking to be fed now i think , so you know what hungry women can be like , they get awkward lol.. so good feed should sort her out hopefully :ganjamon:I really upped the food , to one small ladle of the three ferments and the scallop molasses ferment, i wanted the little bit more acidic so the molasses brings it down
