Noreastfog, 12 Pot Ebb & Grow, First Ever Grow

Hmmm...Sage advice. I never thought far enough ahead to inquire about the full spectrum of veg to flower switch.

A couple of questions to see how this should work.

DNF recommends using veg nutes for the first week or two of bloom, I was planning one week. Should I do this? Does the fresh water flush have to coordinate with the "lights out"?

Or should I as you (Pit) say use up the fresh nutes for a couple of days and flush and flip then?

My big girls are now about 14" They and I are ready :yummy:

OMG something I have forgotten to include in my updates Is the Wall of aroma that smacks you in the face when entering the "room". Scrubber is working to perfection. It vents into my basement and there isn't a trace of smell, unless I'm working with the door open and then it reeks (in a fabulous way).

if DNF recomends that then run with it..I thing they are just trying get some more veg for whatever reason.
My advice on the dark and flushing is just that...advice. Its always worked for me but Im not saying there isnt a better way
that being said...
The flush is in the dark is to lighten the stress and rest them as much as possible.
there is no wrong way

I'm going to continue with what I'm doing, for this time. Next grow definitely going to follow your procedure. I'm here to learn the best practices from the best growers. This fits the bill.

Good, better, best...Keep it coming Pit

Looks and sounds like you've built yourself a great grow room. I'd have to say it's the best I've seen for a first timer, great job, looks like you have been growing for years!!

Thanks Pharmer. I can't even imagine what it would look like if I hadn't spent countless hours pouring through journals here. Being a member here and having a journal of your own is like going to "weed school" online. Master growers who teach, support and encourage. 3 month final exam (that's fun). No failing grades. In the end everybody gets high :smokin2:

I hear you, I read tons of books, and every mag on the subject for years, but I learn the most right here and by actually growing and learning from my mistakes. I still havn't done a journal yet, but I may have to get one going soon. Cant wait to watch those girls of yours flower. Did you take any clones from them for your next round? Not sure if you have the room, but you may want to keep a small veg/mother room so you can keep the strain alive. It looks like you got some quality genetics in those blueberries, it would be a shame to lose them.

That's a no on the clones. I'm not set-up for anything like that right now. Although that is part of the plan.

I want to partition a room right outside my current room. It will be 11' X 9' That will become my Bloom Room. My current room 5' 9" X 9' will become my Mother and Veg room.

Rome wasn't built in a day

Good news is, I will be able to get Blueberry again, and I will keep a mother.

That sounds perfect for a nice perpetual set up. Then you could keep a few mothers of your favorite strains and have a little variety in your stash!

I have the lights back on!!! They have grown, not just up but around, thought it was tight before.

Bud sights galore, They were definitely ready.

The only thing that concerns me is that a lot of the new growth at the tops are a very light green. Perhaps I should change out to Bloom nutes before my usual Fri res change.

I may get to post (lights on) pics tonight.

The new growth is ussually bright green, and will then blend in with the rest. I wouldn' worry about it. Can't wait to see some more picks. It's BUD TIME, you must be getting excited Nor!!! I know I was all giddy throught my first flowering time. Fun stuff!

Blueberry Day 31, Day 2 Bloom

Everything is running pretty smoothly. Res temp 66 F, PH - 5.6, Nutes - 1200 PPM. Lights 12 / 12. LIghts off temp - 60 F, Lights on temp - 81 F

Tallest now over 16". Room is looking smaller.

My light schedule leaves much less time to visit. The smell is simply amazing :yummy:

It's hard to believe that one third of the journey is behind me.

Enough rambling time for pics!!!

I am going to start blooming some plants in about four days. 3 days ago i changed the res in my big system and added full strength grow nutes, bloom nutes, cal-mag, and liquid Karma. PPM is sitting just above 3 grand. Not going to flush at all when i switch the lights. Going to continue the grow nutes until 3rd week of flowering or when they stop stretching. For my 4 soil plants i am doing pretty much the same thing. This was all recommended to me by someone local who i trust. He has grown dank weed for as long as i can remember. He says it is akin to an athlete carbo loading before a game or a long run. He swears it cuts at least a couple weeks off of flowering times. My hydro plants really took off in past few days so who knows. Prolly kind of stupid of me to be experimenting on my first grow but nothing ventured nothing gained i suppose.

ive run for weeks at 2800 ppm. beyond a certain number the plants wont take in such high levels...they go into survival mode. if you ph is ok. I find that anything over 2000 ppm is just spending money and stalling the plants
