Nobody's COB Perpetual: Various Strains & Some Edible Fun At Times In A Tiny Tent

AK47 (A?wtf) - Day 69, Bloom 6
White Widow (PFem) - Day 32
HSO Raspberry Diesel(PFem) - Day 13
Dutch Passion Colorado Cookies (A) - Day 4
Cali Connection Green Crack (PFem) - in soil

Well, today a little action.

Got up this morning and gave the RD and CC a little touch of Big Bloom and seaplex @ 6.5, few ml each.

The WW got passed, still damp.

The AK got 1.5l with 4ml of Botanicare bloom, 6ml of Big Bloom and a .5ml of Ca/Mg and seaplex, it went into droop mode. This nute mix was at about 850ppm and is probably on the high side for the plant. I need to watch tips going forward.

The Green Crack seedling has a nice long tap root, it went into a 1 gal container with about 2" of supersoil at the bottom, Light Warrior in the top, bunch of mycos in the seed hole. Moistened the Light Warrior with some 6.5 water with a touch of seaplex and big bloom.

The WW and RD are looking really slow. The CC looks about the size of the RD already....I used mykos on it but not the others...maybe that, or the auto is more peppy from the get go.

PSA-the blue lab pen I am liking more than the previous two el cheapo amazon ones I bought. I have also NOT found a pH digital tester than holds calibration overnight within about 2%. Even with the 7pH check solution (new packet), it was reading 7.6 today. It goes without saying if your using a pen, it needs to be calibrated prior to each use. If you don't think yours does, you need to break it apart and get a patient on the tech.

Most of my issues with previous grows were pH issues. Drops are cheaper than pens and more accurate IMO.

Couple of the AK after it perked back up post feeding. I went ahead and cranked the lights up to 210w, that is as high as the cits go, when I go a couple hours with the osrams starting around 8, it will get 260w.

I look at this plant and it baffles me how many leaves I have yanked from it, and the two side nodes for an attempt at clones, and I have barely gave it any N.

I also feel like it's trying it's best to stretch. I will remeasure the distance off the lights in a couple days.

One day I will have to spring for a 3x3 tent.

Looking good Nobody. I've got an AK47 going from Nirvana right now. Yesterday was her first day of 12/12. When she starts to flower i'll shoot a couple of pics and maybe post them for you. Keep em green.
:goodjob:
Yeah, or just post em here, or a link to the grow if you have one. Just don't show me up with some outdoor 10' wonder!

Shed-it's not really a stretch, more like a yoga reach.

AK47 (A?wtf) - Day 71, Bloom 8
White Widow (PFem) - Day 34
HSO Raspberry Diesel(PFem) - Day 15
Dutch Passion Colorado Cookies (A) - Day 6
Cali Connection Green Crack (PFem) - Day 1

Howdy everyone, I know there are thousands of readers out there wondering, "how's that CC Green Crack doing?"

My new pH pen seems to have drifted from 7.0 to 7.4 in two days. After fixing that I got to mixing 1.5l w 6ml Big Bloom, 1ml Ca/Mg, 2ml Botanicare Bloom, 1.5ml Seaplex and 2.5ml of Botaincare Liquid Karma. pH the whole thing to 6.5 and dumped it on the AK. This was basically a 'half-feeding', ppm was around 600.

I have three co2 monitors in the house, when I am home I pump up the tent to about 2250-2500ppm, it takes it about 2.5 to 3 hours to get back under 1000ppm. Monitor outside closet never breaks 600, this is in our master and it's the highest in the morning after we have been sleeping and the co2 has been off for 12 hours (800). Highs in the closet with the door shut are around 11000ppm, good for vegging. I am just running one small fan over the ak and one over the veg plants, no vac fan.

Over in the veg area the Green Crack has sprouted, I took a liter of water, added 3ml big bloom, .5ml seaplex, 1ml of karma, and maybe .5 ml Ca/mg and pH'ed to 6.5 and gave the Raspberry diesel, colorado cookies and green crack maybe a total of 200ml between the three, these are all pretty mild 'natural' nutes and I am dosing em at half strength. I went ahead and gave 500ml to the white widow, then I added maybe 2 ml of Roots Organic Budda Grow, another 'natural' nute...I added water up to 750ml, and re-pH'ed...get this, with the addition of the Budda Grow, the pH dropped to about 4. This stuff is super concentrated, I was using it on my previous grows and with drops was not able to accurately get the titration color correct, hence the pen, anyway, that was prob the late flower issues I was having with this nute.....few drops of pH up later and we are at 6.5, and the White Widow gets all of it.

Clockwise from top: Auto Colorado Cookies (clear pot), Green Crack (sword), Raspberry Diesel, White Widow (in the fabric larger pot)

Going forward I will probably crack another auto around the end of the month. I need to be hitting the WW with more nutes it looks lighter than it should be, hopefully the N will get it going some. If not I may explore throwing a synthetic at it like Grow Big. Would rather not use a synthetic till bloom if necessary. Never grown this WW before, but it's a small portly plant....thoughts?

Got some Radiohead playing....their on tour now.

Funny you mention that Bilbo! During flowering I was wondering whether that plant could support 59 tops in a discussion in Derby's thread. I decided that I'm going to leave the AK clone mostly untrained with just 8 or 10 main branches to see what happens.
Sounds like a plan!. I think its a definite possibility. I didnt get as much stretch as i expected, not even from the full on sativa and i suspect thats the reason cos i had so many tops and also they were pretty big already before i put em to flower. Also ive made sure i kept the light as close as humanly possible withput causing damage the whole time so i was moving the light with the stretch

got a Gerry Mulligan/Ben Webster playing...

Thanks Bilbo, shed-didn't your ak look more sativa ish than this one I am growing?

This AK has to be the 'stiffest' plant i've grown. I think if I tried to bend any branch other than the tips it would snap. Wonder if this is a result of the pro-tekt spray I used early on.

This morning I mixed a liter of very mild shit, 5ml Big Bloom, .7ml seaplex, 1ml of pure blend tea (another botanicare). pH to 6.5. The small veg pots were already dry, gave about 100ml among the three small ones, and maybe 400ml to the White Widow and the rest of the half liter to the AK.

Just got in from the barn and turned the vent off and CO2 on. My RH gets high, as expected with the vent off, I go run it for like 10 minutes and it takes it back down to the low 40s. Temps in the tent are getting up to 92 when I am running co2 and the vent is off....really liking this setup, and I still have 800# co2 in my tank.

Seedlings looking a little on the dry side today, and I am liking the color change since the last N feeding, so I mixed up half liter with about 1.5ml of Roots Organic Buddha Grow and .25ml seaplex.

The small three got about +/- 100ml and the WW got the remaining 200ml.

I think the N is helping the WW.

AK looks a little poo-poo today, think it's wet feet. Hopefully no fluids today and tomorrow cure it. It ALWAYS seems to me about a day and a half to overdry....at 6pm after a watering it always looks like it's hurting for more.

Got some Zep on the TT, just burnt a large one while working in the yard.

AK47 (A?wtf) - Day 74, Bloom 11
White Widow (PFem) - Day 37
HSO Raspberry Diesel(PFem) - Day 18
Dutch Passion Colorado Cookies (A) - Day 9
Cali Connection Green Crack (PFem) - Day 4

Veg gals got nothing today, going to try to get through the day until tomorrow.

AK was a little droopy and dry this morning, gave it a liter ph to 6.5, with 5ml of the botanicare Bloom (full dose), 1ml of the botanicare tea, 1ml of Ca/Mg. PPM was around 1300.

Will follow up with just water pH'ed with CaMg and Seaplex in a day or so, prob 2 liters.

We have a lotta bud sites, the uppers look good and there is formation a few inches down, lot of little larf stuff on the lowers popping up. At this point I am just letting the plant do it's own thing, not going to be removing larf sites or any fan leaves unless their going south.

Radiohead - Kid A (the 10"ers)

Yeah, after that liter and some warmer temps with a dose or two of CO2, it perked right up.

This is what I like about photos-this plant looks healthy and responds well, it also has a pretty serious branch stiffness/weight...maybe she is anticipating some weight! Autos are just a little more indecisive and wimpy.

I do see a little clawing, it's not any worse than what I see when I feed it half strength nutes. Regardless, it will get a water Ca/Mg day....and we will keep stuff under 1000ppm.

I see a total of 11 top buds that will form colas. I so want to pull a couple fan leaves...ok, maybe just a snip or two and leave most of the leaf on?

If that 1000 is TDS then I think you're okay dropping down this early in flower, maybe even down to 800 for now. It gives you more headroom for full flower. Backing off the N will lower that number and solve two issues at the same time.

At this stage I would tuck, or take only what's blocking light or airflow. If you want to take pieces of leaves (which personally I don't think is a good idea), you might try taking the entire leaf section rather than cutting them in half like folks do for clones.
