Night's Indoor Breeding - Ft SSS Genetics & More!

They look good mate, nice big chunky indica leaves :) With the cloning/cleaning up it all depends on what your plans are with these plants, are they staying in this tent as parent plants and taking clones to flower? or are you taking clones for parents and flowering these plants? If planning on keeping them in there for parents to take clones you might be best cutting them right back and following a strict defol and topping schedule like i do with my parent plants to keep them small, any time you want clones you simply stop defol and topping till you get branches long enough to clone ;) other idea if wanting to keep things minimal in parent rooms you can take a clone and use that as a new parent which takes up less space, then move the old parent to the flower tent to flower out :thumb:

Cheers mate, yep the yorker/RC are both indica dom plants :) Well I want to have parent plants that I can clone from and flower/pollinate with (if I end up with males). I was expecting to move but because me and my partner are being screwed around with that it has limited my growing possibilities greatly. At max I have 2 tents at my disposal as growing space which also limits the size of plants and how many plants I can have at one point. I was hoping to grow small-medium sized plants but it looks like I'll have to settle for small plants until I move out. Thanks for the suggestions mate, it gives me a few more options to play with :thumb:

If you are going to try keeping any plants while you flower some off you are going to need at least 2 areas mate, otherwise its a real hassle revegging everything after each round, will take longer than it does to flower another plant in reality ;) best bet is try keep them small, take the first top from the plant as a clone, move the plant to the flower tent and keep the clone in veg, otherwise they will quickly take over in flower and you will run out of room fast :thumb: by the time the plant is big enough to take a clone it should be mature enough to flower ;)

Yeah I know I was just hoping for more space by now. Nah nah I was never planning on flowering then re-vegging, that would take way too long  Sounds like a solid plan and I don't want space issues in an already small space, makes things harder than need be :thumb:
Do you reckon that the yorkers are ready for cloning or give them like another week or 2? I know the others aren't quite ready but yeah the yorkers are obviously the biggest so would be the best candidates for cloning....if they are ready.

They look like they are big enough to me mate, with topping i usually leave them go till i see my first set of 5 pointed leaves and then top them, same goes if i want to take a clone i leave them a bit longer and take them at the same place, roughly about the 4th or 5th set of true leaves ;) should leave a perfect couple of nodes at the top to explode into some new branches :) lower branches will probably take off too but you will end up removing a lot of that crap later in flower ;) when taking clones i always try to keep the mother in the veg tent till i have roots on the clone, this way I'm certain i have a backup and it has also given the mother plant a little time to recover from the topping :thumb:

Sweeet! Thanks man :) I got some jiffy pellets from bunnings, I'm thinking of using them for cloning since you can just put it straight in the soil or whatever. Do you know if they're good or not? I'll find out soon enough but thought I'd ask. I'll try what you said later on today, put them back to 16/8 so they can have some rest :thumb: I'll be doing that for sure bro, not going to risk having the mother/father in flower then the clone dies, that shit will set me off like no tomorrow haha. Cheers for helping mate :thumb:

No worries mate :thumb: Jiffy pellets should do the job, basically just like a coco block, add water and it grows  at least that way its small, easy to manage and can notice roots forming a lot quicker. Nothing worse than putting one into a pot and thinking, hmm has it got roots yet? wait another week, constantly checking the drain holes in the pots for roots

Never tried them myself, but some people recommend them. So it should be just fine.

I wouldn't like that happening either! You could still take more clones from the flowering plant, but I know what you mean.

Sweet as, I've had issues with coco before that's why I asked. That's my line of thinking too, I can't be bothered checking the drain holes for roots everyday  Lazy and efficient is my way of gardening :thumb: Also sometimes you can't get the soil right up against the cutting so the jiffys should make that a little easier too :thumb:

Cheers mate, any input is good too me :) I don't think anyone would want that happen to them honestly. Re-vegging takes too long

Yep then you end up with a plant like my White Jack reveg that's taking forever

God is that thing taking forever to grow  Slow and steady you should re-name it

Or like my NYC Diesel that's 3 inches high at day 53... :laughtwo:
The six other clones I took from flowering plants grow way faster though. I already took the next generation of cuttings from some of them. So basically, the second generation clones will soon be taller than some of the first generation clones! Go figure... :)

This plant is always fucking with us, it's just part of the fun of being a grower :high-five:

A little update of soughts.

So I took 3 clones, 1 of each of the Yorkers. A/C look like they will root but I don't know about B :bitingnails: It might be too small of a cutting to root but we'll see. Still have the mother/father plant anyway so it won't matter if it doesn't :thumb:

While cloning I noticed that I have 3 phenos; :high-five:
A- Tallest plant with long/big internode spacing
B- Shortest plant with short/tight internode spacing
C- Second tallest plant with short/tight internode spacing

Also while cloning I gave the leaves (that I chopped off the cuts) a quick smell and boy are there some differences;
A- Very weak aroma, normal veg peppery/spicy smell
B- Medium/strong aroma, normal veg peppery/spicy smell
C- Very strong aroma, normal veg peppery/spicy smell but also with a sweetness to it that I can't put my finger on but this plant smells gooooood :thumb:

Alright that's it for now. I'm going to let the mothers/fathers recover and pray that these clones root  I'll take some photos in a fewish days....maybe/if/when these clones root. Cheers :)

UPDATE

Update time :) Everything is looking good so far which I'm happy about after the rocky start I had to this grow germinating. I have set up my other tent for more space and to have a more perpetual grow like style (cheers feral for the help :thumb:). On to the photos;

First up Is the 3 Yorkers that have been topped and transferred into their final pot that they will flower in :thumb:

Next in line are the 3 Yorker clones taken 2 days ago. I'm so surprised on how healthy and vigorous these clones look as I feel my experience in cloning isn't great so I'm stoked to see this kind of health :high-five:

In the other tent all the plants are looking great too. Loving the look of these Rhino Cookies, very nice structure to them :)
The one in the middle of this photo is the mystery plant I found outside in one of my non-cannabis plant pots, damn is thing growing fast or what? ;)

The 3 Bubblefuck and 3 Super Deluxe are coming along nicely, still small but they have plenty of time to grow. Nothing too special at the moment report other than seeing slight differences (pheno hunting).

Also (this is funny as) I found another seedling outside in one of the fruit pots outside    I'm just getting freebies popping up outside :thumb: check out this little baby.

Okay that's it for now, I'll update again in a few days or so with photos but if something exciting happens I'll be sure to let you all know.

UPDATE

Lets get straight into it ;)

First up is the clones. I have used someones idea of making a fridge into a grow space since there was one lying around not being used anyway. I took out everything I couldn't use, gave it a wash, put in a light and bam! New clone space :thumb:

Now the clones themselves are going along nice, looking perky and healthy. The yorkers are currently at day 10 since cloning, hoping to see some roots soon enough ;)

Next up is the veg tent. Everything in here is chugging along, a little (what seems to be nute burn) on the ends on some of the first true leaves but nothing to be concerned about. I also found another, yes another 2 fucking seedlings outside! These things are just popping like daisies  I have also changed the lighting to 3 CFLs in this tent, 2 white and 1 yellow.

Last is the flower tent. The yorkers are recovering really nicely, almost too nicely as Yorker A is freaking growing like crazy. B and C are nice too but their growth just doesn't seem as rapid. I've moved the rhino cookies into here as well (they were transplanted on the 14th). The RCs were topped and cloned tonight so they will have a week or a few to recover :) Lastly I will document on here what smell profiles the RCs had when I cloned them.

RC A- Strong smell, normal veg peppery smell.
RC B- Medium smell, normal veg peppery but with a hint of sweetness to it. Interested to see what this one turns out to be.

I also changed the lighting in here to 4 CFLs, 2 white and 2 yellow :)

Thanks for stopping by :)

Cheers bro :high-five: I can't remember for the life of me who it was, I think it was someone on Grizz's thread that posted it. Either way it's a really good way of using old fridges/freezers instead of having them just sit outside in the yard  But yeah it's a really cool/smart idea. I like it :thumb: Quick get down to the tip before they destroy them!
