Are they sourced by yourself? Sounds cool man. How old are they and would you know what strains they would have come from? I'm always down for a chat about older seeds/genetics :)

I started smoking in 1998 and I started collecting bagseeds around 2001 until 2011, so most of them are between 6 and 16 years old I guess. Some are unidentified, some are poorly identified (e.g. simply labelled as "Hawaiian"), and some I'm pretty sure of the strains they come from (mainly Super Silver Haze, Flo, and a few Jack Flash).

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of space, so it's gonna be tough to pop a lot of seeds for selection. I'm gonna have to convince my wife to move in a bigger place and buy bigger tents. :) In the meantime, I'll be following your project with a lot of interest and I'll try and learn as much as I can from it!

You could have something special among those seeds for sure, just need to grow them out to see what you have :thumb: The Hawaiian, flo and jack flash interest me got any stories behind them? Like where you were when you got them and all that, I like a good tale :)

I know what you mean bro, space is a constant issue haha. Buy her some chocolates that should sweeten the deal ;) No worries mate glad to have you along. If you have any questions ask away :thumb:

My very first indoor grow a few months back was two of those old Super Silver Haze bagseeds. They both germinated. One plant had a bit faster growth, with thinner, darker leaves and rounder buds. The other one was slower, but with more flowering stretch and spear-shaped buds. In the end, the aroma and effect were quite similar tough.

The Hawaiian is a bit of a mystery, because I don't remember much about it. I just remember that it's supposed to be a strain of Hawaiian lineage and that the buds were quite tasty. It was a strain a buddy of mine grew for a short period of time around 10-12 years ago. No idea where he got it from. I don't expect an awesome germination rate, because a lot of those seeds look small and immature, but there's a few nice looking ones.

The Flo and Jack Flash were also grown by a buddy of mine along with a few other strains (Jack Herer, NL#5 x Haze...) so there might be some interesting cross-pollination going on there. Who knows.

All of those were scored in Europe where I live, so I guess there's a nice percentage of old school Dutch genetics in those seeds.

I've heard a lot about SSH, not that interested in it myself but it does seem like a nice plant :thumb: How do you like it?
All you need is 1 or 2 to pop and you can keep the genetics by pollinating them :)
Ahhhh well now that makes more sense since you live in Europe, Pretty much Nevil/Shantibaba's stuff. Nice genetics and a lot of cup winners :thumb:

I did a bit of research and I came to the conclusion that the Hawaiian strain is probably Sensi Seeds' "Hawaiian Indica". :yummy:
I'll have a look now, cheers mate :)

I like it a lot. It's a strong and very hazy strain. You're looking at 80+ days of flowering, but it's worth the wait IMHO.
And for what it's worth, Jason King calls it the Dom Perignon of cannabis. ;)

I've wanted to get it in the past but I try to stay away from hype strains. I mean I know it's supposed to be super amazing and all that but I'm sure someone out there can gift me a few seeds from a breeding project or whatever. Living in OZ I don't want to risk another package of seeds being taken and me be out of pocket. So in essence if it wasn't for the whole money side of things I would jump on that straight away! :thumb:

Who is Jason King lol

Hmmmm looks interesting, I'll have a look around locally if they have it in book stores (doubt it ). If not I'm sure I can order it online :thumb:
I don't know either but it's probably best to talk about it in Personal messages or something like that. I'll PM you now :)

Edit: I think you have to have 50 posts before you can PM...

UPDATE

I've woken up a little early this morning and decided to move the plants around, add a heat mat and take a photo for the update. All of them are looking awesome and healthy. Growing faster now too :cheertwo:

Have a good one everyone!

UPDATE

I've flipped the little ones back to 24hr veg time to account for the cold nights that have been around recently also for the purposes of moving they won't be as stressed out if they are used to 24h rather than flowering time. Once I move they will go to a 18/6 or 16/8 veg schedule until they are big enough for cloning. Cheers all :)

The 3 yorkers are looking nice and big. The 2 RC's are starting their more explosive veg and the rest are coming along just fine :thumb:

Looking good mate, don't know why but didn't get a notification till this update, weird  hopefully it starts warming up soon mate :passitleft:

Cheers mate :) Yeah it's been happening to me as well with your journal and a few others. Hopefully not to much to worry about  It's already been warmer since those couple of -C days they'll be right :passitleft:

UPDATE

Hello again to all that are watching,

So everything is looking good as usual but because of my space issue I need to start thinking/planning of what to do about it. I've got another small tent at my dads house that I could go grab but I'm kind of limited to one bedroom atm so it makes things hard just to set up another tent. I might still go get it but if anyone could suggest another solution to my space issue I'm all ears/eyes.

The yorkers are getting pretty big now plus the RC's won't be far behind. Too start cloning or not start cloning? That is the question.
I have also included a profile photo of the mystery girl/guy I found outside while maintaining my fruit trees and such. The most round leaves I've seen on a plant so I'm pretty happy/excited to see what it is, hoping it's one of the old school seeds that didn't pop last year or this year. Have a good one!

They look good mate, nice big chunky indica leaves :) With the cloning/cleaning up it all depends on what your plans are with these plants, are they staying in this tent as parent plants and taking clones to flower? or are you taking clones for parents and flowering these plants? If planning on keeping them in there for parents to take clones you might be best cutting them right back and following a strict defol and topping schedule like i do with my parent plants to keep them small, any time you want clones you simply stop defol and topping till you get branches long enough to clone ;) other idea if wanting to keep things minimal in parent rooms you can take a clone and use that as a new parent which takes up less space, then move the old parent to the flower tent to flower out :thumb:
