The Go Grow

I am naming this one because its been so long it getting it to “Go”. 6 weeks plus overdue? And we are not ready for flower for about 6 of them.

Also ot looks like a Go Board in play. I think something is meant to change colour at this point. Only played the gane briefly.

We have:

7x Seriotica (Indy from here on)
6x Strawberry Molly
4x CBD Warlock

1x Each of:

Royal Queen (RQS)
Hulkberry
Mimosa x Orange Punch (Barney’s Farm)
Tropicana Poison (Sweet Seeds)

The gas is on, the environment is good. The lights for controls are covered. And I have a viewing ladder which I’m very fond of. I used it to take a photo with my head on the ceiling and the phone to my nose - can get the full height of rhe room. Its like Wimbledon in there, watching for mistakes

Some random photos below. The Strawberry are the real little ones. Hopefully they go on a growth run in their new digs. They’ve been slow to start. The ones that started in the Solo grow are obviously all perfect. Dunno what sort of operation & Co is running in the veg tent <oouuuuch!> Apparently they delivered that way as short flower times. Okey dokey.

Things to finish:

Replace Netafim collars and pipe - next weekend.

Tidy and straighten inline fan pipe - a few days. Need to see if its too efficient, might not need it other than for keeping a slight negative pressure.

Level the lights - tomorrow. Changing the coupling from the light spreaders to the winch hook.

Then its time to grow.

Been quite the effort. Needs a bit more pretty. Although I do like the monster looking AC hood

Congrats on getting them all moved and set up! Are they in there in some sort order (by variety?) because they sure ain't grouped by size, which would seem preferable for distance to the light.

And whatever happened with that light manufacturer that was custom building based on your specs?

Hiya @InTheShed - surviving storms, earthquakes and the Senior ladies of your son’s college for a night. Hope Mrs Shed was there to keep an eye on you, you old rogue you!

Yep they are organised by strain. Given the last two grows there has been confusion about which strain one of the plants was I was a bit strict about getting the plants one by one by strain and labelled with tape both sides. Then rechecking, questioning and rechecking. I’ve even started a document to track them. Even by strain we’ll be harvesting at different times so they need to go by size for sure. Probably tomorrow evening when the new irrigation stuff comes. The lights are high heights and lower power at the moment. We’ll fix the watering, level the lights, check the HVAC ducting and move them about all in one go maybe this evening more likely tomorrow.

The light company? Are you “all up in my messages” Shed?! I hadn’t spoken to them for about 6 weeks until yesterday. Umm, they clearly like me as their Facebook advertising copy contains a couple of snippets from our conversations! We’re discussing something again, slightly different approach. To start when the 4x4 HPS tent is finished in 7-8 weeks I have a different grow planned. 95% I’ll be using one of their lights. How much I’ll make of that remains to be seen, they need to have some other discussions.

So see what happens - Thailand has been put on their back burner. Seems like most commercial people here are moving to greenhouse grows. Germany is where the bulk of their efforts seem to be at the moment. The smaller home grow market has always been less important to them but hopefully that’s about to change.

Yeah I’m furious. So angry. My fault. I forgot to tell the kids. But honestly it makes no functional difference the way we’re setup I think. There’s perlite at rhe bottom anyway and it all just drains out the bottom anyway.

Please don’t tell Bill he’ll slay me, did it first time out. Maybe ai should go back to fabric ones until I learn properly again

I think its done that way to help stop run off as you water from the top

Yep but with the collars and trays we seem to be ok. This grow looks like they need a couple of days to acclimatise a little. Healthy but mildly droopy they look.

That purple queen, did you top her.
I let all mine grow up as fast as possible no manipulation.
Then I just tie over the main stem and flower them.
Gives me multiple tips.
A bit better volume for a simple Lst tie.
Great to grow big plants quickly and flower out max with no training delay.

Yep all get topped, similarly to this. Plus/minus a node or two. Here’s the same plant.

You can just make out the top there. These I guess we’ll see what we can do on a case by case basis. We have what seems like lots of room to use to us but nothing compared to others. This one I’m thinking get on weighting her down at edges of the drainage trays and let her go straight up from there. She won’t go so tall I think 140cm tops?

There’s some bigger Indy’s I think bending like you have might work - tbh previously the gangly ones generally ended up falling of their own volition

Some of the smaller ones I’m going to try my new training frames on. Probably get started on them when we tweak the irrigation system. We have the 3000k flexible LEDs to add per plant too which need working on with any training.

Just waiting for them to find their feet.

Hmm, dunno maybe I’m reading it wrong. Start with the happy. Environment - screw you Greta - ahhm.

The environment. This grow is first. Getting humidity in is an issue in the day. Think I’ve got it now. The temp has come down as well. Maybe needs a tweak for overnight but the AC there is on a wifi controller so I can just program it in. No problem.

28c and 70% is what I’m looking for. This is fine though. It was 31 and 48%. Lights out should be easy to match this. Its not really changing.

Next up as a comparison (and because I’m chuffed its the solo tent with raging furnace of the HPS a tent outdoors and pipes running everywhere. Its perfect for flower. It gets pretty cool at night though 18c Rh 45-50% I can’t keep the temp at say 23c and 50% Rh overnight. Its such fine margins on the 3 fans and multiple AC controls. It goes runaway quickly to 90% and 35c quite easily. Feel like this is pretty good anyway.

I Think I mixed the two nute tanks. I think I did less harm than & Co because of what went where. Our irrigation matrix is like this:

Today we made 200L of veg nutes and 100L of Flower nutes. I watered the 4x4. Closed the valves to water upstairs flower room. Watered. But I left the valve for the 100L open. So after the 100L is still brimmed because well because Archimedes? I wouldn’t worry so much but I’m still a bit worried about some of these girls. They’re all different strains but I was worried about them maybe getting Flower nutes earlier in the week (& Co the same thing!) They are a bit pale and a couple even look like they have a smidge of nute burn - this should be the same mix as they’ve been on for weeks. But then they are actually bulking up - outwards. Its the heights that haven’t come on.

I had 150L left in the main tank. So I added some N Mag for what I see as N deficiency and filled the 150L up to 200L with water also watering it down a touch. I hadn’t fed them in 36 hours so We’ll see if they all perk up by morning. Hope so not inclined to water them again just yet. The irrigation system is confirmed for replacement tomorrow, want to water after that.

Idiots the pair of us - its not complicated but its been so long since we were watering upstairs we’re out of the rhythm.

Seems to drive them to breath too hard trying to get what they need, causing necrosis on leaf edges and thin leaves.

Thanks Res that makes sense to me. I had a plan as just the design is a bit too closed (seems like you have one too) but reading that and thinking about some issues I feel like I have - I opened the door to the room about 4-5” 2 hours later and they are already looking better.
