Newty’s Perpetual Pantry Party & Outdoor Grow Show

I also alternate Pyrethrin in with neem treatments for my girls. I had been using neem for months for thrips but they seemed to have become resilient to it. Once switched to Pyrethrins... they disappeared. I basically rotate sprays every 2 weeks. I've been told neither should be used during flower, so I don't... not 100% why but I assume it is because of the residual spray being left on flowers? Maybe?

That safer's should do the trick though. Whoop them little buggers!

Ok so neem is not cutting it! I need something else?? There is one that y’all use outside?? Starts with an S
I need to spray my whole outdoor garden so something I can use on my veggies would be great! Also found powdery mildew on the pumpkins:/ Interweb Says I can spray with baking soda water or should I just cull!? I don’t want to risk my mj

Yoooo. I swear to god my girls were being devestated by grasshoppers so i payed for some neem which did not arrive... anyway i looked it up and someone said a cup of 1/10 mollases/water will attract and drown most critters. Put that out a little while ago went and bought some fruit and veg friendly stuff which i really dont trust. But I havent had to use it since i been putting out the trap anyway. It works almost too well. When its a hot ass day and they are real active that cup will be fullllll.
There is a tiny bit of activity still on the plants but i can take it compared to what it was before and id rather not use this generic poop.

Can you use this during flower?

Ok P next package I’ll need some captain jack! Let’s see what happens with the Safers and neem for now:D

I’m out of neem of course (used it all outdoors last night) so I’ll go buy more today and start alternating. Is every 3/4 days too often? Also I’m going to spray GeeGee before bed, will that make it too wet in there? Am I asking for mold? Or should I sneak in a couple hours before lights on?

I’m going to take the seedlings out of tent B and clean out the tent with bleach, let it air out for a week and put them back. Sound good?

Dang gnats!! I gave those traps too and they work great:) These are not gnats though, thrips maybe? I think it’s because I took 4 clones from an outdoor plant. The plant must have been infected god dammit. #lessonlearned I chucked all 4 clones so that’s it for the WW xtrm :(

Both ATF got chucked too as they were infected and then when I checked them out side this morning, a slug crawled up the table and ate both almost clean! Wtf #notmeanttobe

I’ll get my hands on some ATF again someday:)

Rest in pieces ww xtrm and atf's, you have Always been good to your fellow girls. #deathtoallgnats

oh taking a cut from outside gave me gnats and thrips to! never ever will i take a cut outside and move it in anymore. but if you never knew it.... like me..... well lets say these are hard lessons :(

You will get over it tough, i am sure!:passitleft:

Ok so I’ll use my Safers when it comes. Why don’t we use neem oil in flower? I have used it quite a bit
I've read a number of places that neem turns the pistils brown and any oil-based product is very difficult to wash off. Also, it carries a specific flavor with it on flowers. besides the issue of it not being tested for inhalation.

I think every 4 days on a healthy plant should be okay. You're probably safe at lights out because the fans will dry the leaves pretty quickly.

Sorry to hear about having to toss the plants :(. Van Stank's neem deep method might have saved them. He does it now with all incoming clones.

Also, fungus gnats are really only harmful with seedlings unless it's a real infestation. The larva eat the roots but with a healthy root system they usually don't do a lot of harm. DE on the soil will take care of those.

Brighter days ahead!

Mosquito dunks grinded up and mixed in water for gnats helped me I put it in the worm bin also for fruit fly/gnat other flyies. I was away for a week and no dunk in water... gnats are back in veg room.

Preventive maintenance from here on in for me now I guess since there in ma hus!

They seem to stick around forever! i had gnats 6 months ago? maybe 7.. all my reg plants in the room were tossed away and found no gnat in the box after that… but they still keep dying in my window… i neem my budd off ever since. wash the pot, plate, spray plant and top of medium.... leave no gnat behind!

Oh man! I got bugs inside! The tiny ones that you can barely see but make the leaves spotted. I couldn’t get a good pic but they are there. The clones have them dammit and the atf seedling seems to be also infected. I threw them all outside and we’re down to 4 Kona gold (I culled the stunted one) 1 AP, 1 CBD OG Kush. What bug treatment should I use on these seedlings?likely I’ll treat GeeGee just in case. I’m not even going to touch her tonight.

I was playing with fire doing the inside outside thing, I’ll get this figured out!
Would be a huge bummer to lose both the indoor and outdoor grows due to these bugs. I hope you can get it figured out quick.

So I avoided the problem today and went to the farm and the beach instead. Tomorrow is neem dip day for the seedlings, pine sol and neem cleanse to the veg tent. I’ll put the seedlings under the T8’s for a day to let the tent clear out. I plan to treat every few days after that, alternating Safers and neem. GeeGee gets hit with neem tomorrow before bed!

These are not gnats:/ I wish! They are thrips I think although I can’t see them but I see them move on the back of the leaves of the clones I threw out. I haven’t seen anymore but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there. I could tell from the damage to the leaves on the clones. I should have took a pic but I was so grossed out I tossed them quick.

The silver lining is that the seedlings will be easy to spray down with only 4-6 leafs each! GeeGee not so much:D

All 3 were root bound in these plastic pots. Weird when I’m used to the airpots and roots all over.
