So you ended up using 2 cups of EVOO, 4 boxes of jello, and 4 packets of gelatine? That's a lot more jello than newty mentioned at 85 grams! The directions on the jello say you add 1 cup hot and 1 cup cold water, so that's 16 ounces of water for one package. I'm only using ½ cup water!

So if I'm at ¼ cup EVOO I'm at 1/8th your recipe to start. That would mean it's ½ box of jello and ½ packet of gelatine.

Not sure I've done that right :oops:.

I think what you would need to do is half my original recipe. 1 gelatin pack, 1 jello pack 85g or the whole sugarfree box 8.5g. (I’ve used both sugar and sugar free jello boxes) Mine come in one big pouch and not 4 ind servings. Then 1/8 oil and 1/3 cup water should get you close to half a cup of liquid as wished for.

Edit: Also I wouldn’t boil this recipe, warm on low for 5-10 mins then that’s it. Does that make sense?

You're up late! Good thing too :).

I've got 1/4 cup of oil I plan on mixing with what should reduce to 1/2 cup #jellotin giving me a total of 3/4 cup liquid.

Into the 1/2 cup water I will add 1 packet of gelatine (1 tbs) and 1/2 of each of the jello packs. Heat and reduce, then blend in the oil. Stir on warm for 10 mins and then pour that in the molds (tested...they are 1ml like you said!).

If I want to have two different flavors I will mix the batches separately (1 ounce oil, 1/2 tbs gelatine, 1/2 packet of jello).

I will report back here and link to the tutorial, assuming it comes out looking like something other than a mess!

The easiest way is to find the "T" connector and take it over to the tubing. Ensure a solid fit, and that's it! Hope it works for GenGlue

Oh thanks Kismet! How do I get the oil and the jello to mix? As I stir I notice the oil is always stuck to the spatula when I take it out. Doesn't that mean the oil will always be floating on the top?
 
I'm still boiling off the excess water so it's been a while on the heat. Not blended yet. I'm hoping that if I keep stirring as it cools it will evenly distribute the oil.
 
212º is under decarb temps so I'm not concerned about that. Just trying not to burn the sugar mix!

[Gelatin is used in soup stock so I don't think boiling is a problem with that. At least I hope not!]
