Ya I know what you mean about those side branches. I have my 400w maybe 20-25" away just so they can get a good stretch. Im working with indicas and sativas. Im prepared to super crop the sativas though since they can get alot taller then indicas. I wouldnt worry right now since you still are vegging for 3 more weeks. I say when 6 weeks is up then start planning on removing or cutting on half the fan leaves. Heres what mine look like

Those look nice and really healthy and do you know if they are all girls or what ill send a pic of my set up it ant they best but it works and how can you tell the difference between sativas and indicas

Thanks, yea there all girls. There clones from plants I grew before. Sativas grow skinny and thinner but some times longer leaves. Indicas how ever have very broad leaves and grow short and bushy with thick main stocks. Like yours.

Nice info to know how is your system set up i c that you have your buckets on top how does that work

Theres only one bucket in there . 5gallon DWC. It has a 15 liter/min air pump with 2 air stones. You run it the same as yours. Filled half way with water/solution. The rest are in flowering pots with coco coir wit hydroton on top. I just have little tots under them just to make the canopy even. I will remove them once the plants are tall enough. My next grow will be in all DWC buckets. I can fit 9 buckets in my space. But 6 will be max depending how long I will veg them for

If you run GLR light schedule for veg and then do diminishing light for flower or go straight to 10/14 you would be great on saving cash. you can cut your electric bill in half. I run 2-3 lamps at once in different grow spaces and my bill doesnt go over $100 a month and thats me using electricity on heat/laundry etc.

Nice grow set up. Yea you have alot of room to work with. You may want to raise your lights a bit more. I say like another 5" or so. They seem really low. Your plants wont grow upward, they will stay really short like that if you dont raise it.

Ok ill do that there 19" above the top of the plants and that light schedule does it really work better like ppl say and does that flowering schedule give more product

I would move it more like 24" above the plants. They need major breathing room. You will get a good mix of both the lamps crossing each other also. The light schedule works on the whole plant rather than just lateral growth. It will keep nods short & will make the side branches grow out & up alot more with out topping. It doesn't make more product but it does trigger flowering faster once you put them in flower. More resin will be produced though. & pistols.

very useful thread. going to be a first time grower. my space is 2x3x6 so somewhat similar so this helped alot and same dwc. but going with led. trying to learn more about lighting, i know that lights are a big thing to learn and thats my goal this week. so if any led growers out there that can share any info please do. great thread again

Here some pic of my girls let me know what you think i really can say anything about led i only have a 400 watt his and it works great even though it get very hot

and you got to watch it from not being to close but gives you alot of yields

very nice!!! did you lower and raise the light. keep it low to make the plants bush out then raise it to stretch it and do it off and on or is that to much stress on the plant. i hope someone can give me some advice

Yea i lowerd and raise my light i lower my light were i couldnt feel the heat keep it there just watch it then i raised it then the sides would catch up then just keep doing that idc about what ppl say your plant will grow as big as it wants to my one girl that i did the same thing is about 6ft now into flowering

My grow room is 4 1/2ft wide by 7ft tall and 4ft deep and my light program i just use the 18/6 for seeding and veg and 12/12 flowering and that it
