i dont have nice hps lights or hid but i do have CFL and PL plant lights. i dont have to space to have tall plants so im looking for short and bushy just looking for personal use like a oz or 2 . here is what she looks like now. i started her mid september . and now were in 6 days in to flowering just topped it and its a lil over 13 inches maybe close to 14in but after i topped it , its hard browish color.

Well i dont know the strain of weed , i just got some dank bud it was about a oz just 2 seeds. i did veg for 4weeks 24hr of light and started flowering 6 days ago. indoors . soil organic i didnt mix it. 12in pot. basic clamp lights with philips duramax 45w 1f spot (2) and ( 2) CFL lights. currently switch to 3 plant lights 65 w 2 and one 60 w and the short bushy plant has straight CFL lights 9w but is = to idk the Watts but its a enery saver one. DID NO TESTS AT ALL ( ph . hp, room temp ,ETC) but room temp water and distilled with miracle grow bloom booster 15-30-15 i think something like that. fan running only when light is on. no pest at all. during veg i did mix on watering and i watered daily during the 4 weeks
 
Easy Newbie, If i was you i'd wack them back into veg, they not nearly mature enough for flower unless your happy harvesting an 8th. And there is no need in watering everyday, the plants aren't big enough for that an you will just starve the roots of oxygen which they need or they will rot. They like dry times as well as wet times, just water when the pot is light and feels empty.
Seen as your using small cfl energy saves why not try LST the plant so that the canopy receives all the light seen as the lights won't reach the bottom when it gets bigger.
Looking healthy though mate.
 
Just put them back to 18/6 lighting, the more mature the more chronic the end result will be, also more bud obviously. When the new shoots grow off the top and grow about 6-7 inch you could tie them down to either side of the po making an M shape out of the plant the 2 heads will grow back facing up again but it will keep it short and bushy also letting all other node sites become heads resulting in like 10+ heads.
 
It will take a few weeks to revert back to vegetative growth. Then you will need to veg until the plant is a little less that half the total size you want it to be in the end. The smell depends on the strain. It could stink or not. Any size yeild will smell if the stain has an odor. Plan for some odor control now so your not scrambling last minute.
 
It wont take a few week to go back into veg because it hasn't entered flowering stage yet, just because its been on 12/12 doesn't mean its flowering. Yes is has to be on 12/12 to flower but it wont if it not ready so putting the light on more will be fine. As far as smell goes you shouldn't have a problem with 2. You might get a little smelly room half way through budding but nothing major.
 
Yield depends on stain, medium, lighting, feeding, space, and training. There are a lot of variables I'm probably forgetting. I've only had one successful grow so I do not have enough experience to make educated guesses.
 
subbed curious to see reverting back to veg. Your lst looks good tho :) It looks like alot of stretching to this plant. I can't tell how your cab is layed out but if you can, don't be afraid to put those cfls within a couple of inches. This will also keep it from stretching. it sounds like space is an issue so hopefully this will help. Looking like a healthy plant tho man!!
 
Im just curious to watch the pics and see the process :) Im sure it will work out fine. You have a really good bunch of guys running around here to help with situations like this. By situation I mean optimizing your grow. I will just sit back and learn along with you:thumb:
 
Mate that the way tie it down man you'l produce more heads. But I've already told you it's not going to revert back to veg because it is vegging now, its not flowering and pretty sure its not even showed its sex yet it's be fine, but yeah like stutzy said move them cfl's close enough without giving too much heat, like he said a few inches will be fine.
