New ViparSpectra Lights Powering Self Watered SIP Run

All stunners but the structures are really something with the two completely different levels of tops on 3 out of 4!
I'm thrilled with that Shed! They have their own ways even having some of the same parental lineage in them. Chucking is fun to watch!
Highya SO,

Four gorgeous ladies!! How nice is that!! Seems a little difficult to get an even canopy, with those large SIPs. But, they all look so good, each in a different way. They'll be even more gorgeous at harvest time!! Happy Smokin'
Yeah the canopy gets forgotten in these grows after a while with the tight quarters. I've supported either a production line or kept trains running for people for so long I can't help but make the most of the space in my tents. That's what I tell myself anyway. :)

Damn Stone!

With this tentful and the LC 18 you've got going in another tent and the big galoots outside you're gonna' have more than a little bit of weed on your hands soon!

I've got questions!

How and where do you dry all this?
How and where do you store it? (Grove Bags, Mason Jars, Contractor Clean-up Bags? A silo?)
How many hygrometers do you own?
Do you have folks that help you trim?
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? (Oops. Never mind that one...unless you know the answer! :) )

I hope I'm not being too nosey. But I'm really curious about how you plan to handle what's about to happen.

I have what I consider a glut of weed and I'm sure that my perceived glut is less than what you're going to pull from just one of your outdoor plants! I've had issues just drying and storing my little plants so I know you must have some procedures in place for bulk takedowns.

Yoh. That's a legit tent right there. Yum.
I'd suggest a barn to dry.
A trim party to trim and get some weight down a little haha
Then yes, Indeed it looks like heavy duty black dustbin bags (you guys probably have green ones)
And then finally in a silo haha.
It's going to be a good few weeks in trim jail and burping jars or bags for days
What a great problem to have

THIS @ViparSpectra SETUP IS ROCKING THEIR WORLD UPDATE

Hello all! I can't say enough about the function of this Vipar powered grow! I'm so happy with how happy these plants are as they thrive under the rays of these lights! The Beatles were wrong! Happiness is a warm light! Not hot, just right!
So anyway here they are today. I gave them all a Backbuilding ! The first of three tiny cuts off the tops of the main colas a week apart.
A simple cut
is all it takes to get the process started. Every single main cola.

They're partying it up in there! It's good to dance around in the breeze!
Stone I tried some of that backbuilding hope it's not just an indoor thing.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? (Oops. Never mind that one...unless you know the answer! :) )
Well,

He'd chuck all day, and he'd chuck all night, if a woodchuck could chuck wood...

But alas, he can't sooooo......

A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood, but a woodchuck can't chuck wood so he wouldn't chuck wood would he?.... or would he....

How and where do you dry all this?
Hehe, good questions! The indoor grow gets to dry in the "office" on a portable clothesline. I can hang my whole tent in there with just fans, especially if there's several days between plant harvests. Juggling rh is best with less.
The outdoor ladies will have to go in the shed for a hang on the clothesline I strung up in there.
How and where do you store it? (Grove Bags, Mason Jars, Contractor Clean-up Bags? A silo?)
My silo's are 5 gallon buckets with bucket liners for the big ones and turkey bage for smaller ones. I cure from these buckets and leave a xxl boveda in them.
How many hygrometers do you own?
Too many to count! Govee bluetooth are most likeable.
Do you have folks that help you trim?
Not yet. My people work or have physical ability issues.
You're right I do have procedures for it. It's like the saying goes, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Bad example but great at the same time. Poor pachyderm's.

I'm concerned with this potential harvest too GDB, and have expansion of the hang space in the shed planned if by a miracle most of these buds keep well. Lots of attrition through rot can happen between now and harvest! I'm not worried, I'm ready, but chances are I'll get a pound or two collectively or each. That's a walk in the park to process. These two will be a week or two apart. That's a bonus! I hope to amass enough and have the energy to make some hash with this years harvest ala Frenchy Cannoli style. I got Temple Ball Fever!
What GDB said.

Nice to see another satisfied SIP customer! Youre bringing the heat now...
Yes! It's getting hot in there Dog! I'll continue SIP'n for sure.

A day a piece to get stoned and play with scissors? I'll take it! It's still a day of up close inspection and wonder! A stinky sticky day! Oh yeah!
Stone I tried some of that backbuilding hope it's not just an indoor thing.
Let's find out! I think it's for all.
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Dono, I'll ask Peter Piper when he takes a break from packing pickled peppers.

Just did another pass through the last dozen pages and the experience has forced me into this gratuitous, impractical post...

Otter, you are properly killin' it. Not that I'm any kind of authority on any-fekking-thing, but I'm utterly impressed by plants and procedures both... I dunno mate, I just really enjoy your work. Thanks for making the effort on our behalf. For a 420 celeb. you're so approachable, so real. lol.

During the night's long, bitter watches, a good thread can be an effective way to tone down the internally generated noise and find (at first) some distraction, leading to inspiration in many instances. It's amazing how important other people are to us, even people we don't know and have never met.

Thank you! This place has kept me stay off the ledge many cold nights Dog. I'm uncomfortable with celeb please. :) Just being helped while helping out.

A wood chuck would chuck all the wood he could chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood!

Damn, those are some beautiful ladies Stone-
And plenty of 'em too!
I'm concerned with this potential harvest too GDB
Gonna be a lot of work, but it'll be a labor of love...

And, this might shed some light on the Woodchuck question:

He chucked all the wood he could chuck, just like I said. I’m the winner…

30 DAYS SINCE FLIP. SO WE'RE HALF WAY THERE UPDATE

It's a cool and rainy day today. Fine by me. It's a good day to grow some pot! Today let's look at the Northern Stank a little. She's a hairy one! All squiggly too! She's in contrast to Black Poisonberry who looks like her pistils have been scared straight out of her! Boing! She's dropping unwanted leaves and keeping the others well so far. I pick a handful every day this week. It'll be a nice plant to trim when the time comes! She's getting nice and frosty as she basks under the @ViparSpectra mystery light! I promise to reveal the model as soon as I can! There's still some strategic things happening behind the scenes so mum is still the word. asap I'll bring you all up to date!

Enjoy your day! I am! :woohoo:
The suspense is killing me being a huge @ViparSpectra fan. I really like your lighter too but your ladies are really nice 👍. Between the @ViparSpectra mystery and whatever else you’re doing it’s working. Very nice grow Otter 🦦. CL🍀. :thumb: :cheer:

Thanks for a great thread to follow!!

I am about to re start my growing, thanks to all the great SIP threads I will be giving it a go in a 4x4 with ViparSpectra lighting.

Can't wait to see the final pics on your grow here, Fantastic!!
Hi Hive Welcome! 420hive is what we have here! Nice name!
What a time we're having in these SIP's lately! I see you found SIP Club thread. That's a great place!
Have you decided what medium and how you're feeding? What light/s form Vipar?

Thanks Cap'n! I'm not even watering them! All I do is add 4 ml cal/mag to 3 of them and 8 to one every day. And lots of fans and extraction @ 100%! 5kw AC in the window 24/7 and dehummer 24/7. These @ViparSpectra lights are doing the work!

Thanks for the welcome, love seeing your grow pics, top notch!!
Using a VipraSpectra XS1500 Pro currently at 25% on seedlings about 12" away.
I have a ViparSpectra KS5000 on the way for flower.
Custom soil mix with perlite chunks worm castings and Pro mix BX, may be use a lil Earth Juice on them when they need it.

So the backbuilding is small cut ,main cola s for three weeks once a week ?? I think i have three week left is that to late ? Plant look Great Otter keep up the good work /fun .
We started on the 5th week. Also this is a new method to me, I know to do it once. Three times is the new part. I don't know how that works with timing Smokes. Try it on a few buds to see maybe?

You sound pretty set up! Those lights work great! I haven't flowered with the XS1500 Pro yet but I can tell it's a powerhouse! These unnamed ones I'm using now look very similar! That KS5000 is just perfect for a 4 x 4 in my opinion as well!
I suggest you have some cal/mag on hand. Mine gives me 80 ppm with 4 ml /gallon of ro. That seems to be a good amount for most. But you've been reading so I don't want to bother you with more than you need.
