Looks like I should of done the 2nd CAT yesterday, The GDP is a bit limp but cant help
her until lights on in another 10hrs
Humidity is way down again Had to run 6 YES I said 6 Humidifiers to keep it at the
low of 43/45 RH ( 3 one gallon, 1 two gallon, 1 Three gal humidifiers and 1 swamp cooler set withl humidity on)
This morning Lights off I still have to have 3 running to hold 46RH
Damn Gazoo that’s a full time job in itself. I picked up a little unit at Lowe’s for $184 with the no tax event. It holds 6gallons and to fill it up it’s top full there is no lid to even take off. The 6gallons Res lasts 3 full days with the humidistat set to 65%.
My ambient RH without a Humidifer in my home this last week is 25%. When I set the humidifer to 65% it really only gets my basement to 50-60%. Usually around 55. But it won’t turn off until it runs out of water. Manufacture recommends only running 70hrs continuous.
Anyways it’s a simple unit. Cheaply made but it seems to do a good job while having a big res. I couldn’t fit it inside the tent but I prefer it outside. It also has helped raise the RH in my 1800sq ft home a lot. The grow tent is in the basement laundry room / furnace room. Down there is 55%. Main floor is 40-45%. Upstairs is 35-40%. Not bad At all. It has a replacement filter that costs $30.
Also I bought a jug of anti bacterial stuff that’s recommended. It was $9. I use 5ml per 4 litres as the bottle says.
Here is the unit the grill closest to the bottom of the unit is where u just dump the water in. Because this unit is evaporative and does not use any element that heats up and vaporizes the water I don’t need to use RO. The fan simply spins and lifts the moisture out of the resivior. I much prefer this to the previous humidifiers I ran with the heat element. It’s like a kettle, when u burn hard water it leaves a ton of residue that is a PITA to clean. It will clog and work badly if not cleaned once a month or more. It also has 3 fan speed settings. rH settings run between 25-65% in 5% intervals.
Sorry for the review of this unit but if u have so many small ones maybe I can convince you to purchase a bigger stand alone one like this and make life easier.
Can’t wait for your harvest updates, sorry to hear about the timing issues your having. I’m sure next round you will dial them in and grow to new heights.
Have a great weekend Zoo!
