New City Grower 4.0 - Featuring the Advanced LED Diamond Series XTE

So basically your saying cuttings from a plant in bloom should be cloned in the bloom cycle and then sent back to re-veg, right Radogast? No wonder I haven't been able to clone a cut from bloom yet. I'm going to have to try this.

I'm not sure I'd go that far, because I have only taken 18/6 mother to 18/6 clone (good), 18/6 mother to 12/12 clone (slow and unstructured), and 12/12 mother to 18/6 clone (slow but I wanted to save the genetics.)

I EXPECT a 12/12 mother to a 12/12 clone followed by a reveg to perform better than a 12/12 mother to 18/6 clone, but I haven't actually done it.
My clone success rate is around 70% so I have a lot to learn. :)

What I discovered today. This is an 18/6 clone from a 12/12 mother with pre-flowers, but not yet in flower.

While trying to see the extent of unexpected pre-flowering in my veg room, I discovered this May 20 clone - still not showing roots - putting out flowers.

My clones (18/6 mom) all put out pre-blooms too. They settled right into veg just fine, but have always had their sex showing on all new growth.

Hi Hay... I'm certainly not BAR but IMO it really is not how close you can get the girls to the light... It is how far do the girls need to be to get the full benefit of the spectrum of the light....:circle-of-love:

Hi Dennise. I get what you are saying about best height for light intensity. That was not why I was asking about the temperature though. I am trying to figure out if I can get by without ventilation for heat if I use an led. I have been growing for a long time, but I have never used an led. I would much rather hear about them from BAR because he seems like a good honest guy than from a salesman. Thanks to all of you on 420 Mag though - this is the nicest online community of growers I have come across! Wish I had found it sooner

Hey BAR, just found your thread, the plants look great! Definitely interested to see how this grow goes, I am looking at getting an led for a closet, and the Advanced you are using is on my short list. I have always used HID, but I think the led will be better temperature wise. I saw your tent was at 82 empty, can you tell me what cfm fans you are using, and the temp closer to the lamp? Thanks!
Hello & welcome aboard Hayrolled. Fifi (Dennise) is as straight up as they come so you can trust that any advice she gives is her unbiased opinion. As far as answering your question I keep the room temperature in my bedroom (where all our tents are located) at 77F with a window air conditioner. Where I have the monitor hanging now is right next to and below the lamp so here's a pic with the highs & lows for the last 48 hours; it generally stays within these ranges.

The inline fans we have are 4in iPower GLFANXBOOSTER4 Inline Ducting Booster fans which run about 30 bucks a pop on cramazon.

Radogast, Pita, & Darkgrow:
I'll have to wait until a later date to try cloning bloom cuttings again. Right now we're concentrating on cloning some of my favorite strains in re-veg (JH for one, hint, hint) & our cloner is only a 4 slot cloner.

JACK HERER CLONE Day 35

Today she was feed:

Plain NYC tap water adjusted to a PH level of 6.5

Trying to get an even canopy with enough tops to blow the previous yield record out of the water.

Wow that JH is impressive for only 35 days! Looks great! :goodjob:

Thanxx Cajun, Cronic, & Pita.
Looking good for 35 days.
If you don't tie her down most tops will go up in 2 days again.
Thanxx Dark. We tie them down when we do LST but when super-cropping we actually crimp the branches, nearly snapping them; no need to tie them down.

I'm not sure how you guys go about super-cropping but I'll post pics this evening when I get home to show how our plants react to this method and continue to update for the next few days.

I've had the same experience as Mono. I can bend/squeeze/kink the stem until it flops down under its own weight, but by the following day, the end is pointing back up ready to rock 'n' roll.

JACK HERER CLONE Day 36

She was super-cropped yesterday and today you can see the effects.

Here's a branch that was cropped.

IMG_00013744.jpg

If you notice Top 1 was the original top of this branch and Top 2 was a lower site of the same branch which is now parallel to Top 1

I'll give you another example on this next plant.

SOUR DIESEL (Re-veg) Day 53

I'm impressed as I can be with this post Reg. Between you and Duggan I feel like I might actually be able to pull off supercropping. I already used up my rep points on you today. I could come back tomorrow, but by then you'll have come up with something else equally brilliant.

You, my friend, are such a valuable asset to this community. Stay healthy. We want you around for a long time. :circle-of-love:

Love the green glove. Forgot I had one. :laughtwo:
