New City Grower 3.5 - Our Perpetual Grow - Continued

How long did it take in the cloner to get those roots?
I'm guessing about 3 weeks Pita. We haven't been keeping records of the cuttings in the cloner but starting today I will.

Hey BAR you gotta love them cloners as in areocloners.............. Impressive ain't they. Bout 100% return if ya can keep temp in respective levels. Temps are the only problem I've ever had. Unless ya really want problems and start messing with PH and such. Looks like your enjoying your new toy..... And that's a good thing. Keepem Green

Thada that, thada that, thada-that's all folks!

I'm not happy with the way things are looking in the Bloom Tent. The only thing I'm doing different is leaving it closed all day since adding the intake & outtake inline fans. Here's a look at the monitor from this morning.

Also the A/C unit in my bedroom is set at 77F, where I always keep it but is kicking out cool air steadily without switching to fan until late evening which leaves me to believe that it's not reaching a low of 77. Maybe it needs to be re-charged. The last time it was charged with freon was 4 summers ago I think.

Bottom line; I'm back to leaving the tent open during the day as my problems appear to be heat related.

Those temps do look a little high. Are you measuring the temp at the actual canopy?

No, I keep it above the tallest plant. But the canopy varies since it's a perpetual grow. All plants are at different stages and heights of flowering. Any suggestions?

Sorry - no.
I'm surprised that much of an increase would become a problem over just a few days, but dunno. I've had temps get hotter for a few days and not noticed any stress on the plants.

I have never been able to just leave the tents zipped up all day... that is my hope once the a/c unit is installed in that room but unless you have all the vents open and a lot of air flow around them.... I'm surprised it hasn't gotten higher..... even with the fan and filters in them I can't keep them cool enough with them zipped up......:circle-of-love:

Hi Reg! I'm back in 420 town so I had to sub to your new journals :) sorry for the abandonment I'm planning on visiting much more often again. You look very busy, it's good to see your perpetual work filling up those tents still.

You really put a lot of work into those little 2 liter beauties! Keep it up

Pita & Fifi, thanxx. Not having this problem with the other two tents. I ordered some Flex Ducting which arrives today. Left a note for UPS to deliver it to my neighbor's apt. I don't use filters since odor isn't a concern, just the inline fans for air circulation so I believe it's a matter of the outtake fan not being under the Spider 9. I remember KJC saying you want the negative pressure greater than the positive pressure.
My plan is to use the ducting to get the outtake exhaust in the rear of the tent just below the lamp which I believe is the hottest point. Or should I connect it to the intake fan placing it in the center of the tent pushing cool air up towards the light?
Also I've made an appt with the hardware store to come charge all our AC units this weekend. $25 a pop with 3 units plus a tip for the Serviceman; These last two months has been a money avalanche!

High Soulgirl, good to have you back. I always get worried when one of my 420mag girls disappear.

Broke Ass do you have any way of checking the temps of that light.... I know you are aware of the issues I have had with the Spider16 so please if there is some way you can check the insides of that light... Please do... 7Dust has taken the first one and made a Spider2 and an 11 I think but it seems to be OK but he did a lot of rewiring... I think it is just because of the power of that light but just to be safe if possible maybe you should check it out internally.....:circle-of-love:

I'm aware of all the issues you had with the Spider 16; I think they just over did it with that one. Remember, we had our best grow to date under the Spider 9 and after 1/2yr we haven't had not one issue with it. I just need to figure out how to keep the temps down during lights on with the tent closed, the inline fans did the trick for the other tents.

:thumb:

The ducting worked like a charm! As soon as I hooked it up the temps dropped by 4 degrees.
