New City Grower 3.5 - Our Perpetual Grow - Continued

Busy as ever I see. Them cloners are sure sweet. The only problem I ever run into is keeping the temp in the zone. But it's common to get 90-100% survival. Keepem Green My friend

SLEESTACK X SKUNK (Clone)

Since we're new at cloning with a cloner I need to know how long do the roots need to get before planting and also exactly how to go about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They look great.

I take them wet and rinse some dry soil over the roots till they look like Candy floss put them in moist soil and put 100ml water around the stem that the soil gets compact and no holes are left.

But most time my roots don't look that good and are more fine hair at the end of the steam ( have to buy a new cloner)
Than I lay the roots in the hole and be more gentle with the soil and don't press to hard and use more water.

Thanxx Darkgrow. Are they long enough & if so will it hurt to let them get a little longer?

They are long enough now, but a little longer won't hurt anything.

Yes Mam...

Looks pretty slick. I have another question for ya... You mentioned drying your bud in a paper bag a while back? I feel like I may have missed a discussion about that... is that a new thing or something you've always done?

I just started that a few months back Magic. For some reason I can't explain it dries the buds more evenly (not dry on the outside but too moist on the inside) and unlike hanging them you're only drying bud, not stems. I tried the rack system using a screen cooking strainer but the side the buds laid on came out flat which really isn't an issue but paper bags are the perfect route for me. Just make sure after you fold the top of the bag you leave it slightly open & shake it around once a day.

Just thought id let u know i potted my clone a couple weeks back after being in a cup of water for about 2 weeks and no sign of roots. I put it into a soil cube and it rooted up nice in a couple days and then transplanted it and it taking off now :)
+ I had cutting of Tomatoes in a cup also and never botherd to plant them all and the roots grew at least 4 to 6 inches long from being in just water for about a month or more lol.

Do you then cure in jars? :geek: I don't want to bug you with a thousand questions! Thanks for always being so helpful!! :green_heart:
Bug me! What are you talking about, this site is for help & being helped; questions & answers. Yes, I then cure them in jars and burp (open the jars) once a day for a week. After that they're stored away.

The roots on the clones are long enough to transplant now if you wish, I prefer longer roots myself as I believe the plants grow more vigorously.
Thanxx Judge John, I wanted to wait until I'm ready to put another cutting in the cloner before planting it.

SMOKE REPORT

PINEAPPLE CHUNK
Harvested on 5/11/2015

Much better than expected but I wouldn't go as far as calling the flavor pineapple. It taste more like a weak mango without the citrus to me and it's only in the after taste. The high is not too strong but long lasting. It hits you gradually to a mellowing point and then substains this effect for a decent hr plus. When you sober up it's so gradual you don't even realize you're sober. I'd love to run a more stable breed of this strain. I give it a 5.

CARAMELA
(Re-veg) Day 62 / Day 38 under 12/12

I know it seems early but she was mostly cloudy with about 10% amber and I'm tired of these ugly ducklings taking up real estate.

BAGSEED Day 116 / Day 79 under 12/12

Now on the other hand this little non-producer took forever and still wasn't showing any amber but what we did find were seeds. I think she may have self pollinated herself and with our foliar spraying it may have not effected the rest of the tent.
