New City Grower 3.5 - Our Perpetual Grow - Continued

bar, might I ask please,, your journal is never ending and i could search forever,, or just ask,, so,, no detailed explanation required at all,, but,, your soil recipe is called 'organic' soil mix,, does that mean that with all the other aditives that you add to the soil part, does that mean you never need to add chemical fertilizers? is that the goal of your soil recipe? please?, thanks. yes or no would work for me

he is indeed,, should i research pj??

i can't ever find anything when i use the search function on this site, guess i have to figure it out one day,, thanks

Where did you hear that Fifi?

It's PJ organic soil mix and Broke Ass kinda adds his own way to it... I have PJ's exact recipe if Broke Ass doesn't have the whole list. I am also using PJ's mix in my Spider16 journal except for 1 girl... So far... I'm loving it... I am almost 3 weeks in bloom and if it continues to work as well as it has to this point I will start ordering more stuff to make another batch.... I have not had to do a thing with it except water and my girls IMO look great.....:circle-of-love:

"Here" you go Nivek. You can use any generic soil that's low in ferts for your base & the additives are interchangeable; just keep in mind you want to use only organic additives because they're slow released. The elements on this chart is the ones you want.

It may have been upstate somewhere Fifi. No way something like that would even be proposed in the city. Animal rights activist would have a field day!
You can also post the recipe he gave you here Fifi. PJ formulates a recipe after you tell him what you have on hand so each person's may vary.

QUICK UPDATE
Feb 20, 2015

Jimbo:
Once we have enough leaves saved up (from defols, damage, harvests, etc.) for our next batch of soil all garbage including whole male plants get put into plastic bags along with our ordinary garbage & thrown down the shoot. But just for extra safety measures I always make sure these particular bags don't have anything with our apt.# on it.

Last night we threw together a new batch of PJ'S ORGANIC SOIL MIX

5 GALLON BUCKET

Base
1/4 part - Peat Moss
1/4 part - LI Grower's Mix
1/4 part - Vermiculite
1/4 part - Perlite

Additives

1 dozen - Crushed & baked, then finely ground eggshells mixed with a bucket of crushed dead cannabis leaves

1 cup - Yum Yum
1 cup - Azomite
4 Tablesp - Growology Step 1
3 Tablesp - Extreme Mykos
4 Tablesp - Bone Meal

Bat Guanu will be added after 3wks of cooking. The whole batch will cook for at least 4wks, stirring once a week.

I have a question Broke Ass... The way I was given the directions was to have 3 separate batches... babies, veg then bloom... I would have to look it up to see the exact difference in the bloom and veg but you only describe 1 batch...... Thanks... Hi BG....:circle-of-love:

When I told him about my plans to use small pots & that we won't be transplanting anymore he adjusted it for the full grow.

& as you know, that's the same batch we have Dirty.

I find Google works better for searching 420 than the built-in search.

I actuall agree with the Google search comment,, i do the same, search Google for the subject then look for the 420 link. funny.,, ha, cheers

Oh yeah Fifi, I left out the water; just enough to get it wet but not really moist so it can cook.

that recipe is a comitment, no question, but even without all the aditives the basic soil, vermiculite, peat moss and perlite, make a beautiful soil. I can't wait to plant something in it.

another q tho, iffin I might, I have some rock dust, from a sculpting project, I have read that rock dust is good for soil, do y'all agree with that? it is actually volcanic ash rock dust. good for mineral content,,,no????

cheers and thanks
