New City Grower 2.0

I wouldn't say that Reg,

As new members join the forum we may be able to generate new interest,

unless of course there are other reasons I'm unaware of.

Sorry I missed tonight's show, I'll catch up over the next few days.

Best wishes my friend.

BB.

Tomorrow's another day Brit. That's where I'm at today. I live a stress free life & refuse to get stressed over anything.

You have always been an example to me on how to behave nicely in this type of forum. I get it when you say you live stress free. I generally do, too. Unless I create my own drama, I don't fare well with the drama of others. Not any more. I don't even know how. Probably because I'm such a hermit. The computer is my outside world. I like it.

Anyway, whatever you decide I support as a 420 sista.

:green_heart::green_heart:

Thanxx for the compliments folks & back atchas Cronic. How's the new job?

This will be brief, going out tonight. I'll catch up on all your journals tomorrow. I took into account everything you guys suggested about medium and this is what I came up with. I found it at one of the big Dome Depots in the Bronx. The 23 st. location only carries Miracle Grow Tamir. Let me know what you think; $3.00 & change a piece. I bought 2 bags to try it out.

Reg, there is fertilizer in that, you know that right? I didn't see what they used for fertilizer, but the structure of this mix looks good to me.

You can probably flush that soil out with tons and tons of water and then let it dry and use it. Then a lot of the fertilizer prills will have dissolved.

flux flooks fluxing fabulous BAR :high-five: I get almost everything i need on Amazn, shipped to your door in 2-3 days ,

cheap and HUGE selection of absolutely everything this gang uses to grow bigger buds.

You gotta be sure that soil is food safe, not just flower soil.:circle-of-love:

they use chicken poo (if I remember) and the texture is good. you don't need to flush it :)

Vigro is food safe. I'll go out on a limb and say all bagged potting mixes for market are geared toward people growing vegetables, herbs and flowering plants in containers. Two things to never buy; if it has urea or human sludge or any sludge as its basis for nitrogen. Not good. Yuk.
And never ever buy any pesticide called "systemic." Never, ever. Unless you want to ingest poison, directly. I would think smoking pot with pesticide in or on it would be an excellent delivery system.

We went out back earlier to put some things together and cover other stuff with big storms coming. While I was out there, guess what I have a huge bag of. Vigro Organics! We didn't have our glasses so I didn't read what was in the bag, but I think I remember something about poultry litter. It's a nice mix and the price is definitely right.

I remember about 25 years ago when Osmocote first really started coming on the market. We were all so excited because it made the mums and poinsettia much easier to grow for trade. Then it started to not be so great. They started making it too hot because the prills were not breaking down fast enough, etc...so they spiked the recipe.

I'm not a big fan of this type of fertilizer if it is synthetic, but if it is organic it will only be slow release because it is dependent on other processes in the soil for nutrients to be available in a form the plants can use.

Does all my rattling on bother anybody? Sometimes I feel like I'm preachy and I don't mean to be, I swear. I just love talking about growing and plants in general.

Are you KIDDING ME? Uruguay, wake up! Oh that would suck. Maybe we should buy our strains now and just make sure we clone and clone or down the line everything will be Frankenstein. We are so doomed.
